    Warning SCAMMER online- extortion attempt

Can a mod please contact me so I can spread awareness on this post or have a sticky? I met a girl on tinder and she added me on IG and WhatsApp. She then requested to facetime me and asked me to show her my penis. She seemed keen as we have been talking for a few days and she showed interest on meeting up. 19 year old girl. She looked pretty hot and normal on her IG. So I facetime her and she asks me to pull out my penis which I obliged, then after a few seconds she disconnects. Next I get a message on IG which shows that she was recording the video and she said she will send the video to everyone in my contacts list unless I give her money. I block her account and report her to Instagram and WhatsApp.

Expedia bailed me out with a last minute one way ticket for $814.

As a long time visitor I really have to re evaluate the phils. The girls are much heavier than even 5 years ago is my impression. And if there isn't cheap flights anymore what's the point.

If it was an Air France office in central Paris and I was trying to change my flight to NY at the last minute I could understand getting clipped but the friggin Philippines?
There are all kinds of different charges now. If I want to fly to Phils with a ME airline, there are all kinds of options, some of which but not all, add on, at a cost, the option of changing return flight. All airlines now have more aggressive, "competitive pricing structures. Not nice but it is not a nice industry. The Makati office would also need their cut.

Expedia were nice to you and / or you were lucky. I tend to book only with airlines as I find the scraper sites very iffy. Good value but iffy. Lastminute.com, . For example, often offer cheap as chips prices the actual airline cannot meet and their trustpilot etc reviews are in the toilet.

Girls are much heavier everywhere, bar those into doing tiktok fitness videos. It is not just jolibee but an entire culture that is whale friendly. Sometimes we get funny videos of fat South Sea type girls beating up whippets but it is not funny being with a bucket of lard, anywhere.

I changed a ticket at CdeG Paris years ago in what was really a life defining change for me. It was not THAT expensive at the time but it was not a total bargain but Air France needed their $$ and, as already said, the game has changed.

"As a long term visitor", it would be nice for you to expound further on the value of flying to the Phils in these changing times. There are many minuses for kids flying half way round the world to a candy store but, larded up and all as it is, there ain't nothing better or nearer around.

As regards the old times,. I am now reading a charming book about travelling through SE Asia in 1950. A lost paradise that was vanishing even then.

Yes, Phils. That is standard practice at all airlines, and has been for a decade: You pay the fee to make any change ($100 for some airlines and domestic flights, several hundred $ for other airlines and Int'l flights). You also pay the difference in the new flight cost. As you need to fly NOW, you will probably pay Biz class prices ($1500-ish) for an economy seat ($800-ish). CP and PAL went to that when the US airlines did way back when. Its a sure-fire way to deter you from making any changes (other than a Bereavement flight). I changed my KAL flight just before Covid, $600 in damage. See pics of PAL's website with prices of an economy ticket MNL-LAX for tomorrow (Sept 14), one way. And corresponding costs (read: penalties) for making changes. Want to change your flight, you pay. Cancel your flight, you pay. Don't show for your flight, you pay. Do check that 1-way Economy Flex price for the 10 pm flight ($2156; at these prices, bring the whole family).

Very valid point. The fast-fooding effect continues. I could be wrong, but the following appears to have occurred. The economy continues to rise, while the food desires of the people remain the same: They still think a trip to Jollibee for ChickenJoy is THE BOMB. More people crowd into fast food joints. You must push further into the province to find a slate of thin ladies. Go west (well, south) young man.

    Thailand. Go to Thailand.

    Good shout

    Dell is a great shout!

The way I see it is that sending cash is definitely a lost cause. As the old proverb says, if you give a (wo) man a fish you feed her for one day. Teach her to fish. You get the picture.

Have you considered going direct to the laptop manufacturers? Many have good online stores and shipping options. Dell jumps to mind.

    Good luck. G.

I really like Lazada, but I wouldn't use it for a laptop purchase. Scams run there, like anywhere else, and that is a significant purchase. If you do choose it, narrow your search to LazMall. It is usually a bit more expensive, but also more reputable retailers.

You can use Amazon with free shipping. Funny is if you choose the quicker delivery which will cost you but the import deposit fee drops quite a bit. It works out cheaper and quicker delivery for you. Just an FYI to you.

I haven't seen your previous post but why would you buy "her" a laptop? If she is into making money online (how? She would know where and how to buy crap like that and at the appropriate price. If she is a hooker type, she would most likely sell the laptop There were previous discussions about lazada etc with people professsing scepticism.
