You refreshed my memory re opening locked suitcase simply with a ball pen.

Myself, I have all important things (cash notes, card / s, passport, air ticket) on me, not left behind in room. I don't use hotel safes, have heard stories of them being emptied and staff person responsible taking off and never seen again, LOL.

Airport staff being able to open a suitcase with a ball pen and place drugs inside is one to be concerned about, not so much curious hookers / cleaners in room (they'd get nothing much from my suitcase) methinks.

So that plastic security wrapping, around the suitcase, available at exiting western world airports for 20 dollars, and 5 dollars exiting Phils etc, is worth re-considering. Control, control.

I had an experience recently which I'd like to share and get your opinion on. I paid the agreed price (3500 PHP for short time) to the mamasan and they called a taxi. Pimp gets in with us and we are all off to the nearest short time hotel. As a precaution though I asked to see the lady's ID, and she told me that she doesn't have it on her. The pimp reassured me that it was fine but I was having none of that and I insisted that no ID means no play. After him assuring me that she was OK I eventually got them to take us back to the KTV and I explained my situation and was offered to choose another girl, but right there and then I asked about ID and some of my choices did not have it either. I did manage to get all my money back and the mamasan said I must come back the next day as she will have her ID then. I did go back the next day and was told that the lady I originally chose was no longer working there.

So my questions are, if the lady from a KTV or go go bar does not have an ID, how much of an issue is it. I mean if she was dishonest about her age and I get swindled by the cops I'm guessing that plausible deniability is not an option if I got her from a KTV. I'm assuming that it would reflect badly on the venue itself. Also, at the short time hotel, none of the ladies I went with ever had their ids checked (I made sure that they were 18 by checking the ID they gave me although obviously it could be a fake as well).

That very pimp though did warn me about the dangers of being set up by the cops when girls are younger than what they say, and insisted that he would never put me in that situation. But hey, who can you really trust right?
