But some basic advice I need would be, which city to go to? Cebu? Manila?
Will it help to get a local phone?
What are the best hunting grounds? Some guys swear by the mall, others go to bars.
Thanks!
JR,
You got to read those threads and then ask better questions. The answer to your questions is yes.

That steak on Eva Air looks good. But I will stick with SQ for overall comfort, reliability and service quality.

You would grab the mic too if you spent most of your life talking to sheep.

New Zealand Air now? Ok. Their pilots get over the speaker to deliver a simple message, start yakking and don't know when to shut up. And forget about seeing the end of a movie because the last 30 minutes of the flight they're on and off the speaker, in your ear constantly.
For various reasons, girls have a lot of problem with number 2.

You don't get to be an airline pilot with 200 hrs flying experience. If you mean 200 hrs on a 737, exactly hoe do you get experience if you don't fly a plane. All pilots start with 0 hrs flying experience.

One would assume that they had to walk by a big ole sign by the jetway saying "BA3271 to Dusseldorf". Maybe also being allowed onto the plane by a counter staff standing in front of another big ole sign. Then again, I have a lot of problems reading Germany, especially in Germany with the street names. LOL!

Not really coming to their defence, but I would assume that is actual flying time on the MAX. On those, one would spend most of the time flying through the auto pilot. Their total time flying on any type of aircraft would be more as required for a commercial license. As mentioned previously, many pilots get their hours flying in the outback. In the States, there are many places to rack up the hours in almost perfect weather. I heard some did it in close to 6 months.

From the news: A spokesperson at Edinburgh Airport said: "We're a welcoming airport that is always happy to greet visitors from all over the world to our fantastic city, but this was a surprise for us as well as them."

If they say an airline is good, I tend to agree if and when traveling on that particular carrier. The other thing is that when you have multiple sources ranking the same airline high, then I do believe that is cause to sit up and take notice. In the end, it's always about experiencing for yourself and reaching your own conclusions. Same thing when it comes to mongering right? I think so!
Completely agree. I fly a lot too (it's tiring after a point) and I think Skytrax is a very credible source for airline rankings.

Good thing about Air NZ is the Star Alliance award ticket to get from Manila to Nadi or Pepeete via Auckland is the best deal going.

How can you compare them with American behemoths with over a 1000 planes? When they get to having more than 200 planes we will see where they stand. With size and scale comes complexity and inconsistency. That is why only very very few large good businesses become great.

P.S. - They may never even get to 200 in this century, given they have been in operation since 1965!

Or if they even had one of those current position flight maps shown on the in seat video entertainment system.
