Dos anyone know if Philippine Airlines partners with any major Airline? I would like to use frequent flyer miles on United / Delta / American (I have a lot) to visit Manila, but I am having trouble with the Philippine Airlines web site.

Delta goes to Manila and United does as well (although less direct (from Guam-Palau) , so why worry about Philippine Air (unless it is imperative to go direct from LA or San Fran)?

Like I said if you love PI & simply can't stay away, in spite of all the safer alternatives, then do what you must do. Don't feel pestered by warnings to the general readership of ISG, as they do not apply to you, & I'm sure you wouldn't want people going there who shouldn't be.

Warnings re the dangers in PI are quite regular on the PI forums as compared to other destinations, and that goes with the terrirory as it should. Therefore for a place like Hong Kong that is considered much safer you won't see the same thing occurring.

There are reasons why PI only gets a handful of, while LOS gets double digit, millions of visitors a year.

Someone who has read all the postings re the PI on ISG but never been to the PI will be in a good position to answer newbie questions about the country, better than many people who have actually been to the PI.

I've been reading your posts and all the responses from the members. No matter how many times they tell you to stop pestering it seems you keep on going. I'm starting to think you like all the attention and thats why you keep posting BS. You must have something against PI or maybe a grudge against the entire country. No, they do not work with Airline partners. There is no chance of using your miles with these other airlines to fly PAL. PAL's web site is also quite problematic when trying to book a flight. You are better off just booking your itinerary through Expedia if you want to fly Philippine Airlines.

I think I'm going to join an automotive forum and try to get everyone to stop riding in cars because they are much too dangerous.

Mongering (or living for that matter) is not for the faint of heart. If you can't take the heat stay the fuck out of the kitchen. I wouldn't bother with skydiving either as it wouldn't result in any sex or orgasms & just be a waste of my time & money, besides being an unpleasant experience that puts my life at risk. So I see no upside to it, only downside.

Maybe this is wishful thinking but online now and none of PPs FRs can be read. You see them if you review his profile but click on it and zero, same if you click on "Review origianl paost"

Maybe Jackson has read the emails from some guys including myself saying PP is really a waste of bandwidth and was promoting another site? Who knows, hopefully he has be banished but am sure he will return again under a different handle.

Whilst there maybe a few johnny-come-lateleys who "perhaps" didn't know the information you are providing, the vast majority of our Philippines board members have been in and around the Philippines for many many years. You are a guy who by his own admission has never been there. So why, why, why is it your role in life to tell us what we already know.

I don't have statistics on who knows what here, or how many non member lurkers would be interested in safety concerns in PI, in light of the recent post alleging 3 separate incidents involving what may be a new blackmailing scam in AC & Manila. If the website I referenced with additional reports of such scams has been posted before, please post a link to it so I can review the comments, if any, related to it. That would be of great interest to me personally, and I expect others as well, judging from the many responses to this topic in the past few days.

Some posters don't put much if any stock in the recent report of 3 incidents, while others think it fairly credible in varying degrees. It seems that I can take it from your previous comments on this topic that you disagree with another senior member here who spoke of such reports as being mere "rumours". Since evidently you've been the victim of a comparable scam yourself:

As for getting back on the horse. Girl told me she was real nervous about the police having her phone number and they were always calling her asking for dates etc. Etc. Anyways met her next day and gave her a good session. There was lots of hidden tension there.

I never knew if I was set up by the girl or not, as she really didn't know where we were going to drive to, but she was very eager to get my pants down.
