No. Keep it at "unlikely". I am a 14 to 21 day monger and have met dentists, business owners, policewomen, and teachers.

I also find that [CodeWord112] shortly after popping your cork is beneficial in preventing std's. I know it's a pain in the ass to get up to take a whizz shortly after the deed but it seems to have worked for me over the years. While you are at it it's also a good idea to wash off your crank in the shower.

    Sammon.

I think your questions are more or less subtly answered in Gangles' original post, however I am surprised at the questions themselves. Self diagnosis or self prescribing of antibiotics is fraught with potential problems and is one of the main reasons why there are now so many resistant strains of bacteria around. The other thing to note is that specific antibiotics will only treat specific types of sexually transmitted infections, so taking one type of medication before and during a visit will not in itself prevent a sexual infection and it may actually mask some of the symptoms of the infection without curing it. Some infections also display similar symptoms, so you will never be completely sure what infection you have unless you are properly examined and screened. Your post and questions seemed to imply that you find that behaviour normal, if I am wrong I apologise.

I have a feeling that Gangles' post will generate many responses and I am neither advocating barebacking nor am I against it. I would just urge caution to those guys that may be tempted to take antibiotics as a precautionary measure to prevent infections, it is not IMHO a sensible solution.

I also don't agree about the point you made that most people don't get tested after one mongering visit. I always get tested after each visit, I have regular gf's that I bareback but I am not stupid and I know that if they do it with me then they will doubtless do it with others. I try not to bareback pro's but my resolve has not always been as strong as it should have been, but I too have been lucky, never having caught anything from my trips to the Philippines.

I have a feeling this will turn out to be another one of those endless (and maybe heated) discussions that will dominate the thread over the next few days, with no clear resolution for anyone!

I have had a vasectomy, so impregnation is not an issue.

After each foray into asia, where all of my associations are bareback, I get completely screened for every form of STD known to man. Maybe two or three forays per year. This last one involved 21 different women.

As with every other foray, this one returned a completely clear result. Nil infection of any STD.

Even my doctor is beginning to think that maybe we are being subjected to deliberate misinformation propaganda by our respective governments.
I doubt your report that you never contracted any STD during your extensive bareback experience.

Most commonly people get are Chlamydia and Siphylis. Gonorrea is sympamatic in girls that there will be nasty smell. Chlamydia can be nasty smell and discharge or asymptomatic.

Hiv is possible but since you had tests done can believe you did not catch. Catching HIV is very rare unless you do risky behaviour as outlined in HIV prevention website.

Ofcourse there are many who do not use condoms regularly including myself. Most of the time they are with non-pros but few instances with working girls also.

Alcohol intake, passion of the moment etc plays a part.

Ofcourse if you take a course of strong antibiotics during and after mongering your tests will be negative. In case of siphylis even if you take antibiotics it will still show weak antibodies after three months.

There are other things you can catch which includes warts, hepatitis B and C etc.

In Thailand and Phi in perticular barebacking is very common and so is catching something.

    Questions are,

    1. Do you exclusively bareback only non-pros? (Not that it is safe, who knows what she did?)

    2. Did you get the girl tested before you had sex every time?

    3. Did you take strong antibiotics during or after your trip and waited atleast a month-three months before getting tested.

    4. Did you take any antibiotics when you noticed something wrong without going to the doctor and getting tested?

Most people get tested once a year if at all. I do not thing anybody gets tested after one mongering visit. Maybe some who are married will do but they may use condoms just to be safe.

We mongers are in a risky business of catching STD. It does not have to be sex, can be DATY, DFK, BBBJ etc. Ever wonder why you get sore throat after mongering visit? Most often we attribut it to.

Change of weather, dirty third world conditions, getting drunk etc. It is very much possible that you caught some STD from a girl carrier even though you used condom.

You should be extremely lucky not to catch any STD if you are a frequent monger soliciting workin girls.

    Gangles,

Can you give us some information on the women you bareback? Are they bar girls, freelancer part-timers or non-pros? I find your ability to bareback so extensively and come away clean quite surprising based on reports of others catching STDs on their first trip. Do you take antibiotics during your adventures?

20, 000 php is less than $500, which is what I normally carry at home when I am NOT on vacation. I just don't like using credit cards overseas. For emergencies and reserve, I had $5000 in Amex travelers cheques in my room safe at the Marco Polo.

I would say that most mongers see hookers and the low level people who are trying to take a shortcut to happiness. And an occasional scam here and there doesn't get marked as immoral.

Heck, even the church encourages asking from rich.

Step out of the hooker and such area, you will see the best of every country.

Once, when my flight from Batanes came late, my hotel pickup was missing, and everybody who got out of the 30 seater plane were harassing me to get dropped off in their vehicle. And none were heading to makati. I meant, they were genuinely interested to make the detour, including a couple, who's own pickup was there, and they were heading to Tarlac, but didn't mind dropping me in Makati.

Well, if I had been wallowing in mud. I don't expect angels. Do I?

No, I always bring my immodium with me. If you don't believe me, search my prior posts. It doesn't work with bullshit though.

I never understood how guys refuse drinks with ice but recklessly bareback random hookers.

As I've stated many times in many contexts, this is a country in which almost half the population of 95 million people live on less than $2 a day. For the very poor, who struggle to subsist and raise families, why should it be surprising that many will seize any opportunity to acquire enough money to survive for another day or another week? For them, as it would be for many of us I suspect, cadging the extra dollar or two is a matter of survival and not "national character," or intrinsic dishonesty. This is a country whose population is poorly served by a rapacious, thoroughly corrupt government and whose people, for the most part, envisage little or no hope for a better future. The average Filipino, with little education, few marketable skills and no hope of improving his / her lot in life is more deserving, I think, of sympathy than contempt.
