Postal ID costs about 500 pesos and approximately 2 weeks to process per my pinay contact.

Health Insurance requirement of USD $35,000 upon entry February 10th

Just read an article that tourist arriving February 10th and thereafter are required to show proof of medical insurance coverage of a minimum of US $35,000 which includes covid coverage during their stay in PH.

United Airlines insurance only covers up to $10,000 medical.

    Does anyone know about this?

Anyone know how to get $35,000 coverage?

Anyone know how to bump up United coverage to $35,000?

Yes, I think we can ask them to send a picture to check, at least, if their ID look like the postal ID.

Good luck. Could be a while for me as I need to get numerous things lined up to make it happen.

Why I love Philippines, reason #263

I hope this is getting wide acceptance and that the girls catch on quickly. I won't be in Manila until May, and am looking forward to filling my days and nights with close encounters of the best kind!
There were a plethora of ways to get fake ID's before, in the provinces and NCR. My fav was when one of my provincial gals (posted in the PG) wanted an ID and she told me the place where she was getting it (p350). Later when I was walking in the area one day I walked into the business. Their legit business is as a printing shop. I saw a lady walk in and ask for an ID. The clerk took the lady's pic with his phone, connected the phone to a computer with a cable, transferred the pic to the computer, and printed the pic on paper. He cut the pic to size (about 1" square). He took another pre-cut piece of thick paper and with an ink pen, he hand-wrote: "PhilHeath", and "Maria DeLa Cruz" underneath it. He put a piece of tape on the picture and taped it to the thick new PhilHealth card and handed it to her. That was it. She paid and walked out, happy with what I thought was the worst fake ID ever. Nobody would think that was a real PhilHealth card. Previously my gal and I had been turned down at bars because she looked too young. BUT, my girl got a similar crappy fake one, and we used it at several bars / hotels successfully.

With the advent of hard plastic and holograms, me-thinks those days are over.

Thanks to Westie, I asked my girl in Bohol, just about when she get again her lost ID, and she told she will ask for Postal ID, so it seems that they all knows now about Postal ID.

But I didn't found how it can be delivered, neither any app to ask for it.

On the link provided I see only the list of offices where they can bring their documents, and where they can get back the ID when it is ready. I didn't find any speed up process like 1 day or week. But maybe I missed something.

Anyway, she is in the process to request it. I will see that.

I never edited the auto correct but I was double typing to get around it: "She had magnificent CC cups. " Good to read that this is no longer required.

I'll admit some of the auto texts did take some deciphering.

    Postal eye dee security features:

On-site digital capture of fingerprints, photo, signature and personal details,
centralized ID printing and database to guarantee that the cards are authentic,
encrypted QR (quick response) code printed on the card can verify the identity of ID holder using a downloadable smart-phone application,
overlaid with a hologram that can be viewed only at certain angles,
ghost image and UV ink that illuminates in UV light,
applicant uniqueness check via the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). It compares the fingerprint collected with the fingerprint database records to ensure the applicants identity.

To change those, one had to post first, then use the 'edit' function to fix the Board's error. The ID part appears to be fixed. Kudos Admin for saving me 4 keystrokes each time.

Good question. I saw it was a convention in the recent posts so I just followed like a sheep. I do know that "ID" has been used in other reports, so I don't think there is a coding issue. However, the site search engine won't accept short entries like that. I saw a report that mentioned a sign on a desk that said "eye dee," but I don't know if that is the origin of the practice. Quick search only shows it in the Philippines forum. As with so many things WestCoast1 may know the answer.
