Is this an accurate assessment of pros and cons about the Philippines?

I read this list of pros and cons and it seems there are a lot of negatives, including the weather, and the shamelessness of the people there. Is that true?

Looks like a long list of cons but they're basically 4 or 5 cons stretched out in painstaken detail lol ...but he's kinda right with most of them. Of course you can argue against them for example you can't expect someone on a miniscule amount of pesos to be overly generous. Though I have experienced filipinos on pitiful incomes show great generosity towards me...

I would diagree with 'most' filipinos being rude and inconsiderate, maybe that's a manila or city thing, out in the provinces I would disagree.

I would also add to that list 'safety on the road'. Outside Manila in the provinces you do not need to wear a crash helmet, and what with the way 'pinos drive?! If all F1 drivers were filipino it'd be a hell of lot more exciting... nothing like driving head on into a truck before slipping back into lane again to overtake some farmer on a carabao...

I agree that most of this is true but I wouldn't let one opinion sway you from going to the Philippines. If you were thinking of visiting then go and experience Philippines for yourself, just be sure to watch out for scammers and con artists. Oh and NEVER MARRY a bar girl.

Though, as a matter of truth, some filipinas are so driven to having children, they don't mind a fuck and fuck off situation, as a couple of Filipina nurses did in Singapore. They met dates, with the whole purpose of getting pregnant, and then ditched the guys. Now you know in Philippines 'name of father' doesn't equate to 'married' status, and with IVF being against the church ruling, they prefer to get naturally impregnated. I guess so.

It is legal in Singapore at private clinics, though government clinics will report to the authorities, as a matter of rule.

say - maids, aren't allowed to get pregnant, but on an average, atleast a dozen maids get aborted, at PRIVATE CLINICS ..

There is an element of truth in most of the cons that this guy presents, but it is clear it is written by someone on a bad day who has got very pissed off with the whole scene. The fundamental issue is that the Pros are to a large extent conditional on the Cons. If you fixed all the cons, Phils would be like Singapore and average incomes would be $35,000 a year rather than $3,500 a year. But guess what a 60 year old retiree living on $20,000 a year would no longer be able to attract a string of 20 year olds willing to attend to his every whim.

I had one of those girls in Davao once but a long time ago and before I made it a rule to use a raincoat every time. She told me she hoped she became pregnant because she wanted a white baby that might be tall like me.

As we all know, Food courts in Phils are souless noisy kid riddled places full of people eating sugured junk.

If there were food courts in Manila on a par with Gardens or Pavilion then it might be a slightly better proposition.

I'm with you on this Ekspat. The women I choose to date know about "nice" restaurants and choosing food etc.

Food Courts used to be fun for the first month after I arrived (13 years ago) but now the MSG in the food and the lack of atmosphere and the noise and the smell drive me away.
I'd rather play footsies with her in a decent restaurant.

Can someone tell me what the deal is, is it illegal or legal? My friend got a bar girl pregnant, yes I know he is moron but now she is 3wks now and he is trying to do the right thing and get pills to take care of it but so far no luck. This is his 3rd trip in Philippines and he doesn't know anyone. Yesterday in Boracay he paid 2000 peso to a massage girl that promised to get him the pills but it turned out the pills were bogus. I had a scare once about 2 years ago. When I checked on the web I found it was illegal in the Philippines, legal in Singapore but not for "visitors", and legal in Vietnam. I know someone else said it is legal in Singapore for a visiting Filipina so i was most likely wrong about that, but that was my impression at the time.

I did call the clinic in Vietnam and they were very helpful and said there was no problem. I can't remember the cost but it was reasonable.

Fortunately for me a few days later my girlfriend had her period.

I once had that fantastic girl from LAC back when you could still find jewels in there. She had a perfect body with lovely boobs (a 9 on my scale) but most of all she had a splendid character. I am not sure what she or the family could actually do from a legal point of view when it comes to a foreigner, but fact is that the scenario is so common coming from Filipino lovers (make them pregnant then leave) that about 80% of the girls I met in LAC or otherwise were in the case, and many times it was actually the reason why they entered the 2P2 scene in the first place, as they now had to feed and take care of that baby all by themselves.

People need to be clear as far as many Filipina's are concerned getting pregnant by a white foreign guy is a win win win situation precisely for the reason it is a lose lose lose for the foreigner. Either - the guy marries her - and i know or some horrendously unhappy and ill matched marriages that have happened in that way, or he sends her maintenance and she has a meal ticket for the rest of her life, or she is left with a half caste baby whih is the dream of many Filipinas even if she doeswnt get support she may consider she is not in a worse position than many of her contemporaries pregnant by Filipina bfs.
