Here's hoping that the recent easing of travel into the US will spur the opening of countries worldwide, especially the motherland--the phils. The Phils especially, seems to unfailingly imitate any trend from the US so lets hope. Life in these first world countries is definitely boring and I for one am ready for a PI trip.

Even vaccinated you can still catch covid, where the difference is, its that you are far better protected against severe forms.
But you can be tested positive.
And in a country with only lets say 20% vaccinated, many, many, vaccinated will continue to be tested positive, especially with delta variant.
The only solution for them is to reach 80% vaccinated to reduce the number of contamination.
And being positive doesn't mean being seriously ill.

The second pic, the levels. I find them a bit vague.

Posts: 451I am sure this have been mentioned here. Covid positive test can take 4 to 42 days after exposure. Maybe due to sample taking differences, infection during quarantine, just individual immune systems differences or some other reason. I always assume that when I travel, I might get infected. I always prepare to be stranded for a month somewhere.
The problem is how to not endanger your loved ones and previous close ones. Each trip is at 6 - 10 weeks, to be safe.

Another Bio-surveillance Report. From reporting two weeks ago. See pics. The Phils Delta death rate increase was 30-31% for the week from August 21-27 (from 26 to 33 deaths). This was during a hard lockdown. I ran a spreadsheet at that time showing that if unabated growth continued, that those 33 deaths would become almost 18,000 deaths just 6 months later.
In the week following, August 27 - September 3, a 39.3% increase (from 33 to 46 deaths). A revised spreadsheet shows that at 39.3% weekly growth on 46 deaths, after 6 months the number of deaths balloons to 131,000.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/big-gap-b...034719881.html
From the article: Big gap between Pfizer, Moderna vaccines seen for preventing COVID hospitalizations.
Data collected from 18 states between March and August suggest the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine reduces the risk of being hospitalized with COVID-19 by 91% in the first four months after receiving the second dose. Beyond 120 days, however, that vaccine efficacy drops to 77%.
Meanwhile, Moderna's vaccine was 93% effective at reducing the short-term risk of COVID-19 hospitalization and remained 92% effective after 120 days.

Posts: 451In the beginning, quarantine was lax by some standards in several places requiring quarantine. It was like the UK version of self certification of non suitability for vaccination. Had seen "quarantined" people wandering in public places, making outcall services, and generally going about like everyone else.
With designated quarantine areas, some places and jurisdictions that require quarantine do allow quarantined people to co-mingle. The area that is probably working, which only time will tell, is Phuket and a UK's popular destination.
There are videos online of handlers removing their PPE and going at it with a possibly infected (think zombie).
Actually, the zombie apocalypse modeling exercises have helped with projections.
Many places and jurisdictions do not have quarantine for qualified travelers. I can confirm they do exist. If you are looking for cheap pussy at a place open to almost everyone, I think the Phuket sandbox is the best option. Basically it is a Russian roulette cover game with some eastern block girls around.
My two cents.
