    Club Echelon

    Gents.

Anyone know if there are girls in Club Echelon willing to work? Was there few months back and saw lots of young girls. But was a bit shy to approach with it being my first time in Davao.

Seemed like a very young crowd, maybe even younger than 21.

    Thanks in advance.

A new residence here has been rising before Covid. Units are being turned over to owners. Evidence of such is the large increase in airbnb listings coming online for this residence in the past few weeks. I made an appointment with one owner to see his unit a few weeks ago*. There is a guard shack at the street entrance. I told the owner that my girlfriend and I would be there at 2 pm. At the appointed time we arrived to face the guard. The owner told me previously to meet him in the lobby. The guard refused entry when I showed him the airbnb message from owner James. I msg'd James to come outside to the guard shack and meet us. James: "Tell the guard that I said to let you pass". The guard refused. The guard used my phone to directly msg James. We were 30 meters from the lobby. An argument erupted in airbnb msgs between them. Finally James showed at the guard shack to escort us inside. Then the guard wanted to see my ID and vax card. Why didn't he ask for that in advance? And why didn't James tell me that it was needed? I showed them, but the guard would not allow my girl entry as she did not have her vax card with her. This was becoming an ordeal. Finally I got inside with James and saw the unit.

    * I decided not to rent the unit. In the unit listing, it was describes as having 100 mbps Internet. Many of the airbnb listings for this new residence claimed the same. However rumor was that the brand new building had not been kitted for any type of HSI (unheard of today). Upon arrival I noticed a Smart Home LTE (sim card) unit. I asked the owner to connect my phone to his wifi. "I don't know how". I looked on the router, found the SSID and PW, and connected. Download tests were under 1 mpbs. I asked James of the discrepancy, 1 vs the advertised 100 mbps. "I don't know. This is not my home". Wait, you said you are the owner. "I am. I have several units here. But nobody lives here before". But you listed the unit as 100 mbps. "No, we pay someone to write things for us. We paid to have the units set up with everything from furniture to kitchenware". So its all a lie? Or you are unsure what is in written in the listing? "Um. Maybe. I have other units available. You want to see them?" Do they all have the same LTE modem? "I don't know". The answer to several of my other questions had the same answer: Is the hot water heater in the shower functioning? "I don't know". Where on the floor is the trash closet? "I am not sure of that". Can you demonstrate the TV remote control? "I don't know how to do that". Is it an Internet TV, or else is it connected to a cable system? "I am not sure". Can you demonstrate the aircon remote control? "No, I don't know it". Great!

Aside: A number of airbnb condo units have gone to NO WRITTEN DESCRIPTION. I would guess that the owner / caretaker became tired of guests complaining that the unit was not as advertised (forcing the owner to partially refund the stay). Better to have no description of a crappy place.

Several of my go-to hotels over the years let me down when a guard would gossip to my girls about me. My girls routinely told me what this or that guard said. Often the guard let slip: "That guy has many girls". I can't think of any good single reason for a guard to say that. Guards are fired for doing it. Normally I wouldn't let slip the hotel name, but for one of them I will, as the guards were egregious for un-safe practices at the time. It was about 2010, at Bayview Park hotel. One afternoon there was a knock on my door. Opening the door there was a PYT who told me that she got my room number from another girl and she wanted some ST biz right then. I asked how she got past the door guard. "I give 50 pesos to him". That's ALL? How did you get up in the elevator? "I walked up the back stairs". 9 floors? "Yes". You have been roaming the hotel then. "Yes". The following day another PYT did the same thing, offering the guard p50 to come inside.
Was she any good. What she charge.

Thank you all again for the information and help, I am now actually genuinely curious how my experience regarding accommodations will play out.

As already said I expect to be there in the end of this or in the beginning of the next year, I will make sure to post a report here afterwards.

However I have found several of them are completely wrong about the building's Admin policy is. Well, they are either wrong, or they are telling you what *they* want you to think the residence policy is. Two examples:
I forgot to mention example #3:

You call your residence prior to arrival and they inform you that the residence accepts guests who have a valid ID. Great. You arrive and on your first night you bring in tonight's girl; she gives up her ID with the guard, and you have a wonderful time. The following afternoon you are escorting girl #2 in, and the (different) guard stops you. "No outside guests sir. Its policy". But, but, but I brought a guest in last night! "Sorry po". F*ck! You turn #2 loose and proceed to the Admin office. You ask for JoAnn, who talked to you on the phone and assured you that policy was guest-friendly. But you are speaking to Gemma in the Admin office. Gemma informs you that JoAnn has the day off, and that JoAnn was mistaken about policy. F*ck!

Later the same evening as you are entering your residence, another foreigner in front of you is registering his lady with her ID. You inquire about this with the guard (again, a different shift). "Yes po if the guest will have a valid ID". A complete reversal (again). F*ck! The Admin office is closed for the day. The following morning you buzz into the Admin office and are greeted by JoAnn. You tell her you called to inquire about the guest policy, which at the time was guest friendly; then you tell her what Gemma said. "Wait. Gemma said no guests?" Yes. "Gemma!" Gemma comes out of the back office. The two ladies keep their voices down and have an honest disagreement on what current policy is. They finally agree with Gemma's policy: No guests. Ladies, can you inform the front desk and the guards of what the current policy is? "Yes of course po". Its 10 am*.

Point: The right hand doesn't always know what the left is up to.

*Further, you go out for the day. On your way back in, about 4 pm, you see the same morning's guard. You ask him if Admin or the front desk informed him of the no guest policy. "What? No sir". You get the same response from the front desk. GREAT! Point: The middle hand (s) might not know what the other hands are doing.

Last point: These were covid-era items. Haven't seen these things in at least 10 months. As Squall is heading to Davao, there are numerous other places to stay if he has bad guest info on a specific place.

I still wouldn't discount the ability to talk yourself into or out of trouble. Especially by her looking the part.

However I have found several of them are completely wrong about the building's Admin policy is. Well, they are either wrong, or they are telling you what *they* want you to think the residence policy is. Two examples:

    1) After renting online with airbnb and then arriving at the residence, the owner took me upstairs to show me the unit. I had already sent the owner my ID / vax cards, and those of one of my regular gals in the area (the one who spends the most time with me) as my GF. I asked, point blank, if I could bring my other friends in for lunch or such. "No sir. Just you and your girlfriend. Registered guests only. Its the building policy with the guards. Its covid sir. You can check the guards". This was late last year. I hadn't seen any covid notices in the lobby or front desk, but I figured that I should check with admin. I asked first the guards at the front door: "You can bring in guests anytime. Just they will sign in and give an ID. No ID, no entry". I walked into the Admin office and got the same response. The owner appeared simply incorrect, but that was wrong. The owner lives in the building a few floors below my rented unit. I was entering one day thru the lobby with the latest girl du jur, and the owner was walking out. It was clear to her that I was getting on the elevator with a girl who was not my GF. I started getting txt msgs from her asking who is that girl, no unregistered guests, the guards were upset, and so on. It was all a smoke-screen. She just didn't want any unregistered guests. Unfortunately she hadn't stated that in her airbnb description, so I was able to ignore that.

    2) The opposite instance. An owner tells me that I just need to have any guest give an ID and register with the guard. Upon entry, the guards and front desk insist: "No unregistered guests. You register this girl with the owner and get her a key-card for entry sir. Already you have other girl registered. Only 2 registered guests per studio unit. Not more". The owner had simply been wrong.

The good news, Squall, is that few if any places are left still playing this game. If they do insist that you can't bring in additional guests, its possibly a family-oriented place and they don't want h**kers marching in / out. Criminy, does Westy live there? Call first and find the real policy of the building. Then write us a nice descriptive report of your experience there.

I thank you for the information. Would bringing multiple girls (at different days) be a problem there?

Because an acquaintance of mine I have the aforementioned information from stayed in one of the Abreeza towers about three months ago, and while he did not mention the 9 pm thing, he did say that although he was able to register and take a girl (a semi regular of his) upstairs without much problems (apparently the registration process for her was somewhat longer than he was used to, with her ID being very carefully checked), taking a second girl upstairs a couple of days later (a date from FilipinoCupid) suddenly turned out to be a problem. To the point of the guard downstairs insisting on my acquaintance having to call the Airbnb owner and only afterwards doing an ID check and allowing the girl entrance. While it worked out in the end, he mentioned that the Airbnb owner was very reluctant and it was a novel and strange experience for my acquaintance in the Philippines. Especially since I know him well enough to be reasonably sure of his respectful and calm conduct and well-dressed attire, he told me that the girl was elegantly clothed as well. He did not risk to try and bring a third girl with him there.

Just realized that it had been pretty much exactly ten years since I was last in Davao, time flies, and not really in a good way. Will try to revisit in the end of this year, I think.

    One question:

Last time I was over there I stayed in Marco Polo, a great and girl friendly stay back then, still closed after the pandemic though. Can you tell me if you stayed in a hotel or Airbnb and what your experiences with your accomodations were?

Because while my Airbnb stay in Cebu (also a while ago, eight. Years, I think). Was quite enjoyable, I have at least heard that there were problems with bringing girls over into Airbnbs in Davao recently.

There is a 'Silent' and 'Do Not Disturb' function in your cell phone settings that will neutralize any notifications. And a power button. Pinay are crazy persistent.

Another pinay hallmark. No cash (or food, or makeup, or booze, or any other resource that can be shared among her family, friends, or neighbors) lasts more than a few days.

Davao and the south, September to December 2022

Hey guys, I just finished writing field reports in Manila and Makati. I spent a few months in Davao and Davao del Sur in September, October and November last year. I'll be going back there in August but I thought I'the share some experiences here.

So I had basically no punting experience in Davao. In 2019 I spent a good 2 hours changing taxis, walking to gogo bars but not liking anything I saw. I like sexy spinners and the street girls were either "300 lang (free aids included) or closer to my weight, which is bawal. Eventually the taxi pulled over, started chatting with a gay pimp who brought me a couple girls. I kept in contact with one of them, Regine, over the years so she was my first point of contact.

Most of my luck was in Toril, in the southern part of Davao. It was almost exclusively contacts through friends. Regine introduced me to other girls and I eventually cut her out. Regine was a cute spinner that got pregnant by her bum boyfriend and had twins. Her body never returned and frankly she wasn't good in bed when she was cute, let alone after years of baby damage and eating too much rice. The thing with these Toril girls is that they're all flat broke and whine a lot about money. She had a friend Jennifur who was my new contact, but she would text me several times during the week asking when I would come back to Toril. Made it difficult when I was trying to date locals and kept having my phone blow up.

There's another thing with the attitude of these girls that I find totally different from Manila. The manila escorts are doing it to buy make up, clothes, purses, a phone, etc no matter what they tell you. I found that these Toril girls, they were doing it so they could just have spending cash. Jennifur would usually bring me at least 2 other girls, I would pay 1. 5 k each and they would all be so happy with that. Of course 2 days later they're broke again and whining. But I thought it was interesting how they would prefer to share the wealth with their friends rather than try to shack up with me all night to get that money out of me.

But out of that desperation came the ugliness. One day Jennifur started whining and begging for 2 k, promising on her life she would pay me back the following day. I've heard this song and dance before a million times so I ignored her. She then told me some stupid story about how one of the girls I was with had been diagnosed with aids and that the police were sniffing around, trying to figure out where it originated from. I knew the story was bogus but until I had the negative result in my hands I was a bit nervous.

After I cut her and her friends out of my life, I found myself in Davao on a Sunday. I walked around but couldn't find anything anywhere. I walked by a few bars that looked like gogos that got shut down. Reckoning either the plague or the former president's daughter had something to do with that. I got in a pedicab and asked the driver where were the girls. He told me banko central. I had had a friend drive me there once and we were disgusted by the quality. The driver told me sometimes good, sometimes bad. So I figured what the hell.

Well we pull up and I see this spinner type in a decent quality dress. Wearing a mask of course. But she walks up, and her friend does all the talking. 1. 5 k. Wants 500 now for "down payment". I never give money before service, but it was already 11 pm and so I took a gamble. I hand her the 500 who gives it to her friend and she gets in the pedicab with me. As we are riding, I tell my new girl that I'the like to go get beer and food first before hitting the sack. She agrees and gives direction to the cabby. We end up at a bar with a live band that is decently lively for a Sunday.

The activity was great. We did it all night. She tells me she works as a call center agent and is usually up late. She tells me that she's not doing this on the side for money, it's more of a coping mechanism from some bad break up she had. She was educated, had a master's in marketing, and really shouldn't have been doing that job. Well anyways, she stayed all night and we did it a few times in the morning so I gave her 3 k. She was pretty enough to charge that in the first place. I did avail her services the next weekend but then I found myself planning a future with her and had to cut ties. Don't marry the working hands gents.

As for the province, I was in Digos City and Gensan as well. In Digos, all the girly bars are near the bus stop. There's about 3 or 4. One of them has a stage, those girls want 4-5 k a go which is absolutely ridiculous. In Manila they would be lucky to get half of that. I did take one for 4 k when I was absolutely plastered, and on a side note she was missing a lung so when she went on top I thought she was going to die, literally. There were a couple more that had beds inside. Those girls wanted 1. 5 k a go. And the last bar I went to, Weng's I think it was called, the girls would beg me to buy lady drinks and never leave me alone. It got a bit annoying to be honest. 250 a lady drink adds up, and the fat mama san always wanted a tip every round. If you're expecting change, you need to break it down for these people or they'll pocket it all. The other problem with Weng's is that these girls all want to go with the one you choose. "Body guard" they would say. Some of them came to my room alone but a few times I ended up with 3 in my room, but I only did one of them. They wanted 3 k each for the deed. Some of those girls, if they were in manila could expect more and others would warrant far less. I did get the phone number of basically every one of the girls I banged from there, and without fail they would whine and ask to meet up for money. At least they were offering themselves instead of hand outs.

As for Gen San, well, I hit up 3 go go bars there, and 2 were absolute garbage. Girls bigger than me begging me to buy them beer. I did go to one near SM City that has some pretty girls. I found one to my taste but she claimed it was her time of the month. - . She was good company until she got drunk and kept asking me to buy her friends drinks. *sigh* .

Both nights in Gen San, I hopped in a pedi cab and asked them to bring me a girl. The first time the driver pulled over, started talking to another pedi cab driver, then told me they would be back. I sat there waiting wondering if the cops were coming back and like 5 minutes later they brought me hot 20 year old spinner. 3 k at 1 am sounded like a deal to me. A similar thing happened the next day, though not as hot.

Last thing I want to mention is that I had zero luck with Tinder and facebook. I messaged all the "so and so walker" girls I found and almost none of them replied. It could be because I had an obviously fake account but either way, no activity. One girl asked me for a "pre walk" or something. The other thing that happened is they replied like 5 days later.

So the take aways from all this, connections are king in the south and most of the pimps are gay guys. Any time you get your haircut by a gay guy, ask him if he knows any girls, he'll most certainly pimp out his neighbour / co worker / cousin for you. Davao only has activity in Toril, Banko Central and Calinan. I have a facebook friend who works at a bar in Calinan and keeps inviting me. Separate sim cards for dating and punting gents. Don't let a hooker blow up your personal phone and rat you out. And taxi / pedicab drivers are also good sources. They usually know where to go.

I probably could have written a bloody novel on my entire adventures in the south, but thought to not spam the post. I would be happy to elaborate on anything or answer any questions. I'll be back there late August until October so look forward to reports then, eh? Thanks for reading!

Not sure if it's only post Covid, but I've also noticed that Agoda is now listing Reviews by rating, not date, with all "Exceptional" coming first. So a hotel that's been open for years but did no maintenance for the last 3 years and has untrained staff will have a 8 rating with all the old positive reviews listed first. Current post COVID reviews will be buried way down the list.

Hello GE, I'm sorry to hear you got sick, and I'm glad it wasn't severe. Your case is similar to a friend of mine who I work with and live with. He got four shots, and he got Covid twice. Every one of the approx 15 that I (kindof) work with (sometimes) got at least two shots, and every one of them got Covid at least once. The exceptions were the three of us that didn't get any shots, and none of us got Covid. I was in three countries at the height of it, including Brazil when they were having a big outbreak. I was in crowded clubs, subways, and even kissed a couple girls (at once). I don't know if that means anything or if there's any correlation. And I hope I don't start a debate here because this is the wrong place.

But it seems to me like if these so-called health authorities actually cared about health, there would be at least some mention of trying to strengthen the natural born immune system. I've been taking simple supplements anyway for decades, and seem to avoid the flu and stuff others around me get. By the way, I’m not “anti-vaccine“. I like having my traditional type of yellow fever vaccine, where they take a small part of the virus and put it in you, because I can go to Africa and be immune from yellow fever, and not bring it back to another country.
