According to my limited experience Davao is not considered a mongering destination with sex in your face. It is strictly chat and meet type. For locals I am sure there are venues but for foreigners it is a conservative town. I was chatting with some girls from there and they said it is better for them to come to Cebu or Manila to be with me. I have also heard hotels maybe strict. My impression is that it's largely BS. However, there are take-out bars in Davao, many frequented by expats, and there are places with rooms on premises. And while it's true, as you say, that they're largely frequented by locals, expats are welcome in all of them. However, I've not heard that any of them have re-opened, and not one of them offers Php2200 all night specials, or at least none that I know of. In fact restaurants here are still restricted to about ⅓ of their former dine-in capacity and masks are required everywhere, and I do mean everywhere. And the rule is strictly enforced.

Funny, but I've lived in Davao for almost 20 years and yet my experience and observations differ radically from yours. Please let us all know the specific "bikini bars" to which you refer, and where you can get ladies for Php2,200 all night, given that in all of the time I've lived here, I've never seen such bars and prices. I know this town pretty well, and I'd be hard pressed to come up with any names, so please enlighten those of us who who have no idea what you're talking about. I'm also interested in where you're hanging out where "no none is even wearing masks," since I go out most days and everyone I see is fully masked. I'm also curious about the "new mayor," since there isn't one and elections don't take place until next year, at which time the current mayor, who's the daughter of the prior mayor, will be replaced by her brother. And please specify the hotels to which you're referring, as I notice your post is long on ungrounded generalities but quite short on details.

I look forward to your next post on specific bars and locations, the name of the new mayor (who doesn't exist), and the hotels (names please) which provide no hassles regarding women you're bringing in.

Between Cebu and Davao I prefer Davao much more. I really enjoy getting the boyfriend life with a girl, even if I'm old. In your opinion are there other cities like Davao or should I just focus on this city? For example Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, etc. Etc.
