If you like that kind of scene, fine. It does have its attractions I know. But please be careful. As both the Slayer and I said, it's probably better not to go there alone as there are some disreputable characters loitering around the place. Most are probably harmless, and most are probably just young kids trying to act the part of genuine tough guys. Some however, may not be, and may be looking for real confrontation.

Please remember that the economic situation here, as noted in my prior post, is not good and people are scrounging for money wherever they think they can find it. This is a country in which merchants often cannot change s PHP100 ($1.80) bill. It's not unusual to see one of the local denizens of the convenience store pool his money with his unkempt buddies to get together the Php25 to buy a single bottle of Red Horse beer, which is a local, virtually undrinkable brew.

You may remember a local expat character here to whom the DS gave the sobriquet "Fat Mike." He's a habitual searcher for street hookers and their friends. To date, he's lost five cell phones, a video camera, $500 in cash, his ARM card and his wallet. All of these were taken from him by women he picked up at or in the vicinity of, the convenience store.

I do go there, because it's like being in a cinema verite every time you go. I would never, however, contemplate trying to befriend one of the women to be found as I would be too worried about the consequents--from the standpoint of personal hygiene, possible disease, and the necessity of maintaining eternal vigilance every minute she was in my house.

I went again to Maurice's place for a beer last night, and, as usual, went outside for a smoke. For those who do not know Davao, there's a strongly-enforced anti-smoking ordinance here, so outside is still the only recourse. During my two or three trips to the street I was struck my the sheer number of women partolling this neighborhood: a number that seems to be increasing as the school terms get underway.

Not only are the numbers increasing, but the appearance of the women seems to be improving slightly. Instead of a steady drone of street hookers, the parade seems interspersed with a fair number of university students trolling for tuition. Whatever the reason, the mean level of quality is increasing as times get rougher. Another reason may be that the ability of the Philippine economy to create jobs at a pace commensurate with need, is very weak and it's not getting better any time soon.

On another topic, I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday who mentioned he had been to Hot Legs on Saturday. He said the girls have regressed to the awful habit of taking showers on stage totally nude! This is the way it was when I first started going there, so it's good to know that management has finally returned to its senses.

Thanks to the guys who wrote in with kind words. It was a thoughtful thing to do and much appreciated.

Your logic is impeccable, but your assumptions are incorrect. He has not been to Davao, of this I am quite certain. I am reasonably sure that he finds the women through one or the other of the many internet chat sites and "find your mate" pages. He then takes quite a bit of time cultivating them by dangling the promise of eventual marriage and emigration of the US.

As to the identities of the WSG members, it's more straighforward, and the PM system is his way of doing that. He introduces himself, and eventually guys reciprocate. That's the way it was with me, and thats the way it's been with the other guys with whom I have been in contact.

Like you, I would not mind some female participation, but I do not think that's going to happen. First, the girls would have to join, and I do not think they will do that. Second, by joining, they would probably eventually say something that would reveal their identifies and they sure do not want to do that. Third, their level of written English isn't really good enough (no pun intended) to participate in this forum, and they do not wish to embarass themselves.

I wish I could explain more about the havoc that this guy has tried, with partial success, to create, but doing so would probably violate some of the Forum rules. My word of caution was written to alert some of the guys here that the girls about whom they may talk on this page may be reading some of the things being written about them.

Was bound to happen at some point. Someone who needs to stir up sh*t to feel important points his current one night squeeze here, just to impress her. She's amazed, he starts feeling important and powerful. So he does it a couple more times. Pretty soon the word spreads and lots of girls are checking out the reports.

That he went so far as to try and put real time faces with the nicks speaks to his animosity toward other punters and how servile he wants to be to the girls.

Not much Jackson can do about it. The site is open. He could make it a pay site, I doubt the girls would pay to read their reviews. But then the membership/traffic would drop off drastically. Most of us won't pony up bucks to check them out either.

I see guys complain about the same thing over on the Thai forum from time to time. Though not to the point where they are being "outed" by actual name.

Kinda sad. Whoever is getting his pathetic ego kick for a bit, but he'll end up sinking back into his isolated little patch of the gutter.

It seems that a person who knows the identities of some of the WSG members in this section would have to have traveled to Davao and met with the Davao Team at least once. Or is it the case that he found out all the information he needed to pull this off by exchanging PMs? I find this difficult to believe, but you say that he cannot or will not come to Davao.

The fact that you heard the same story from several women seems to suggest that he contacted these women individually. In other words, he must know some of the same women that you know, which also indicates that he has been to Davao.

Since there are many ladies reading this forum now, shall we encourage them to become members and join our discussion? Come to think of it, I have never seen someone claiming to be a woman post in any of the Philippines sections. I remember seeing a woman posting prolifically while randomnly browsing in the US section, but I’ve done very little reading aside from the Philippines.

This one is not about the ladies of Davao, about whom I've already written everything I know. Rather, it's about the appropriate use of information contained in this forum.

Apparently, there's a guy in the United States who, for reasons of his own, which I do not understand, is not only providing women here with the names of WSG members, but has identified for them the names of the individuals behind the pseudonyms. Trying to create as much confusion and as many problems as possible, he then tries to foment difficulties here by directing the women to this site, and encouraging them to read what individual members may have said about them. I've been told this by several women, all of whom tell the same story, and identify the same individual. Therefore, I believe it and believe me, I've witnessed first hand, the results of his attempts to create problems for others. Apparently, this all began within a relatively small circle of women. But women have friends; they talk to other friends, who talk to still others, and the practice of visiting this site seems to be growing among an an ever expanding number of ladies here.

This is a guy who, for reasons of his own, cannot or will not come here, but seems to get his kicks making the lives of those of us who can be here as miserable as possible. So, thanks to him, this forum is now become a big hit within a circle of ladies in Davao and they read it regularly. I do not know what Jackson's point of view is on the use of information gathered from this board. To me, what this guy is doing violates the spirit, if not the letter of the regulations that Jackson has created.

I know only what he's doing regarding the Davao page. For all I know, he's doing the same thing with posts on other pages, in additional countries, as well.

That sounds like good advise for those of us that are in the country long term. I maintain some of these semi-GF at several cities that I visit from time to time. The few good things about it is that there is someone always there smiling to see you. Conversations are better than the "Where you from, Joe?" One of the best reason is that they're so horny to see you again.

As long as you set your terms and the girl doesn't mind about the arrangement. Then it is all good. Doesn't cost that much if you find the right ones. Most of the time, my girlfriends just want me to make sure I take them out and have a good time before tapping that ass.

Easy on those "university girls", tuition isn't cheap even in the Philippines. It can add up.

It's true, and we should all know better, but, thinking with the small head, some of us (especially me) never learn. Guess we're doomed to keep making the same mistakes over and over. I was lucky. The Slayer was here and when he gets angry, it's a pretty impressive sight. I think the girl to stole from me was scare out of her mind by his call. He's a pretty good guy to have covering your back.

Unfortunately he left this morning for travel back to the homeland, so I supposed I will have to start being more careful until he returns. He and I went back to the convenience store last night, just for a nostalgic beer. It was not as crowded, but there were pickings available. They were however, very young and so utterly lacking in any class whatsoever that there was not even a scintilla of temptation for either of us. After watching their behavior for a while. the Slayer remarked that: "They're little better than animals," and he was right. No manners, no standards of acceptable behavior in public. Having one of them in my house would be akin to letting a pig loose in a palace.

I think I will concentrate on finding another 2-3 semipermanent girlfriends from one of the universities and I'll lay off the street and club scene for a while.

the slayer and i went back to the corner convenience store last night and, as was true the last couple of times that we have been there, the place was packed. both of us noticed however, both last night and on the prior occassions, that its character has changed since we first started reporting on it. the nursing students, who were constant habitues when it first opened are, for the most part, gone. the "drinking terrace" now seems to be composed, in roughly equal measure, of street hookers, some of whom are "tuition girls," gay men, both transvestites and non cross-dressers, and young couples with no money.

the good news is that the number of hookers has increased dramatically. the most effective way of picking them up is, we have found, to send the waiter, whom the slayer calls gino, to one of the tables and ask the girls if they want to join you for a beer. the answer is invariably yes. since the girls routinely congregate in packs of 3-5, you will probably have to buy a few rounds for several of them. however at php15 per beer, what's the difference? most of the girls lack any class whatsoever (as is true with most denizens of the place) and are of the "lock up the silverware" sub species. most of them seem to expect no more than php500 for a night out, and some expect even less.

the bad news in all of this is that there's a slight aura of danger about the place now, and it's somehow not as pleasant as it once was. some of the younger men frequenting the place seem to be budding street thugs, and it's probably a good idea not to go there alone. neither of us was ever threatened directly, but we have been the objects of some mildly naasty comments, and white guys do get noticed there.

the slayer did hook up with a cute student (tuition girl) last night, and though she had to leave early because of classes this morning, he did arrange to meet with her this afternoon. i had the chance to hook up with her "cousin" but declined. there's someting about bringing a girl to my house and having to keep a constant eye on everything that isn't nailed down, that's too much hassle for me. also, i'm a little wary of letting girls like this know where i live.

succinctly then, the place is seedier and more threatening, but with more women and many more gays. a final word to the wise. some of the transvestites are extremely good looking, and not easily discernable as men. many have had either breast implants or injections, wear make up, and actually look more attractive than the women rep001tered around. if you do not normally swing this way, you could be in for a shocking surprise once you get her(?) back to your room.

Too bad to hear about your first bad experience in Davao. It is a good wake up call for guys to always be alert especially when you're a foreigner in a country with a different culture. But that's not to say nothing happens to locals. Almost the exact same thing happened to a handyman of a friend in the Philippines. He bragged about an assignment and his pay. He was administered a drug that made him completely drunk after two San Miguels. When he left he was pulled in an alley and mugged. Luckily your story has a better ending.

I always try to keep a few things in mind when I travel:

- Keep an eye on your drink
- Try not to brag (even as in "for fun")
- Don't have the exact same routine for too long of a time
- Try not to be the only one in a bar
- Keep your hotel room clean of money and valuables (especially with pussy in the room)

I seriously doubt any of you will be visiting Davao soon. In any event I will take a moment to provide my input of recent events. By the way, to the one Guy who said he will be here, there are essentially ONLY two of us in Davao on this Board, GE and Myself. And DO NOT refer to me as a "character". Four years of College adn three years of Graduate School most likely puts me way ahead of you guy.I also own my own Firm and speak four languages.

First, Anne stole GE's class ring, not Jean. This is absolutely, totally certain. How do I know? I made the call to Anne and I got the ring back from HER. I was present throughout the day as it unfolded. She kept denying to GE that she even had the ring or knew of it. I saw the text messages she sent to his cellphone. I offered to get it back and he said, "Slayer, please talk to Anne and get my ring back." Again, I said, "no problem". 30 minutes later he had his ring.

I then had a long phone conversation with Jean as she tried to explain that she did not know of this ring and would NEVE steal it. She was telling the truth because she thouht the ring was in his room and not the den. Her comment, I never entered GE's room was convincing, along with Anne's comments about not even knowing of this ring UNTIL my talk with her.

Spam Hogs, I am sorry I missed your martial arts tournament as I had to assist GE today. I hope it was a success ffor you and the local Davao Club.

GROUND ZERO:

GE and I go here often. I must now state that it has gone downhill faster than a "California Mud SLide". From 7:00 to 10:PM it may be ok. After that it is full of "street hookers", transvestites and other unfavorable denizens of the night. I still hang there for the Pussy and I enjoy the local color. But I am a regular and also the Slayer. I have a few friends in the crew that works there waiting tables and my own "street smarts" give me a slight edge. Still, I watched the crowd there the last few nights and I do not think it is the ideal place to meet women any longer. Most of you, I doubt, would find your experiences favorable here.

My Annie, now a nurse in a Hospital in Singapore, told GE and I last January to "be careful" here as the crowd includes prostitutes, pimps and muggers. My "baby" would be amazed at what it looks like seven months later.

I visited Moonlights Club last night and had fun. GE left early for "personal reasons" not associated with SE Asia. I hung around but VIP was occupiied and did not want any of the ladies hanging around Base Camp. I did eat dinner but found the food mediocre at best. Two of the ladiess looked "HOT" but I wanted only the VIP Room and no "take out".

Hot Legs girls want P3,000 to go out and most want only 2-3 hours with you. Cosidering the location of this Club and the enterior, I seriously doubt if any of the women working there have ever seen P3,000. I imagine local filipinos pay about P 1,000. I have not taken a woman out as I am not going to pay these prices.

We had dinner tonight with two Davao ladies GE met on Yahoo Chat. Nothing came of it but I got the phone nmber of a lovely 18 y/o at Ground Zero, a 2nd year college student. Will see how it unfolds later.
