Asking about food choices around Burgos & St Giles area.

On Burgos St, Cubana and a few doors down next to Mirrors bar is Filling Station (upstairs), which is a 1950's-60's-themed place (Elvis, 3 Stooges and such). Across the street and a block up next to Citadel Inn is at least one schwarma-type place. Continuing another block on the left is Kenny Rogers Roaster's, and another block to Makati Ave are multiple fast food, halal, pizza, and seafood places. St Giles is on the corner of Makati Ave / Kalayaan, and on Kalayaan is Howzatt Sports Bar (and hotel around the back), an Aussie place. Identical menu as Howzatt can be found at nearby Red Planet Inn resto. From St Giles within 3 blocks are 3 Starbucks (Kalayaan, Makati Ave, Century Mall). On Kalayaan, opposite direction from Howzatt, about 2 blocks from St Giles, is Century Mall with half a dozen decent eateries (including french). A block back behind Burgos (find Polaris St on map, are HandleBar and H&J resto's, and also El Chupacabra (Mexican). Makati Ave at Singian St corner is Bario Fiesta. On Makati / Luna street corner is the A-Venue Mall with eateries (yes, just 2 blocks from Century Mall), and next to that is a massive tent-covered area in the parking lot called Hot Asian Nights, with more than a dozen street food vendors who start BBQ-ing by 6 pm, live band every night, and tables; you can feed yourself and date complete with a couple of beers for less than $10. Catch a taxi / Grab 1 mile up to the Greenbelt Malls (5 of them, also called Ayala) for oodles of nice resto's including the famed Havana Cafe. Where else can you get a Cuban sandwich and a beer and some pinay taco?

That should keep you busy.

Since you're staying in Regency Grand, just go to Robinson's Place Mall. Numerous well known Western restaurants, but sometimes requires some hunting to find them all.

Regency Grand is just short term stay and yes Robinson Place food places should be plentiful.

I just came back from a short overnight trip in Manila and weren't expecting such high prices at Makati. Went to Plan be and Burgos and the mamasan quoted 3500 p for barfine and 3000 p for ST. The talents were quality and I love that they can somewhat communicate in English, but man those prices. I will be going to Manila for very short overnight work trips once a quarter so I probably won't have time to meet a girl online and then wine and dine her so I guess I'll have to just accept those prices.

Unfortunately not too many 8's will be wandering the streets in Makati looking for a stray monger. Girls that hot will be in their dorms, lying on a mattress on the floor with the fan going, trawling for mongers on WeChat, PL and Tinder. There will be plenty of LBs though who will pass for a 8 or 9 from 100 yards away.

Don't get too hung up on price. A few thousand here or there isn't going to make much difference. You are spending a lot to get there, so just enjoy the moment. You remember the experience with the chica long after you forget the price. . Then there wouldn't be much difference between you and a bunch of Indians on Soi 6 arguing over a few baht. LOL

For some who pay thousands to get to the country they like to haggle over a few hundred pesos ED. Always amazes me why this happens but then they are cheap as 1000 pesos is $20 and I can't see why that is a huge problem for any monger whose ticket cost upward of $600++ and the hotel is more than that per night usually (unless stay in a dump).

But some love to haggle then proudly tell us how they ripped off a trike driver for 50 pesos.

Yeah ST 2 k street / bar etc would make sense, all night 4-5 k. But I suppose demand / supply and negotiations etc.

Western food at fair prices means MacDonalds, Burger King, Yellow Taxi Pizza etc. Jollibee is okay for fried chicken and rice. Cafe Cubana and Filling Station on Burgos offer Western food at US prices. I go to the middle eastern restaurant at the mid point of Burgos Street. It's opposite the Quick E Mart. Not too pricey and there isn't much for the chef to fuck up.

There is no such thing as decent food in the Philippines. You just have to adjust your expectations. If you don't believe me, visit a FB page called Slate My Plate Expats. Philippines. Its hilarious, but also sort of sad.

What are the going rates, I know "it depends" - but what are they anyway. To pick a girl at a local bar (whatever these bars / joints are). I am reading anywhere 10 -12 K to 2 K. 10 K converted to US $ is still US $200 - lot of money for Manila (I think). That is the kind of rate in Vegas.

You don't want to hear this but it depends. I hunt on Tinder, with occasional forays into PL and SA. If a girl wants a long term relationship then you can get them for free or only 1000 or 2000 for taxi fare. They take a little game to get but really not that much. You sometimes need to take them for supper first but it can be as simple as a Jolliebee. I have a few regulars who will stay 24 hours and just get taxi fare, 2 k slipped into their hip pockets. They are actually enjoyable to be with as they are not just viewing me as a walking ATM.

Semi pro's you can get for less than 5000. They also take a little game to get (very little), if they are straight forward about sex for money I ask their rate, if more than 5 k I say thanks not no thanks, they almost always come down to half their initial ask.

Sometimes I like the convenience of a pro, especially for a ST. Smooci is great for that and look there and you can see what you can get for between 5 to 10 k or so for ST, LT goes 10 k to 20 k.

I have a regular who will bring me as many girls as I want for 6 k each for overnight, unlimited sex with whatever one I want and switching back and forth and pussy any mouth. Usually get her plus 2 but have had up to her and 5 others. More than I usually pay but all it takes to set up is a few WhatsApp messages.

Bar girls and paying bar fines is not something I can address as I simply do not hunt there.

If you are just here for a few days then you need to pay for the speed and ease of getting girls, if here for a longer term as I am you can have the time to establish a relationship with a few regulars, so it depends.

Live band most nights inside in the back, average food at american prices (coffee at 7-11 next door is p20, at Cubana its p108). Good place to sit / watch the chicas, be prepared for oodles of LB especially in the morning around 7 am. Open 24 hours. The have a CR that is open to the public, the SW walk in and use it often. SW sitting inside sometimes, including LB. Last month the city took the outdoor tables from the restaurant. I asked the security guard where they went. "The city take them, they tell us to clean the area under the tables. They say they will return the tables some day. We waiting. " I asked if this was the new mayor's attempt to clean up Burgos. "Very much maybe sir". Anyone know if the outdoor tables are back in place?
