Re South Seas Peso. Yes the Aus dollar puts a strain on punting habits or even just getting there OS. Thus when people say 7000 -10,000 peso for a night out with a BG we are talking 200-300 Aus dollars. Now not sure how this equates with others but I am a professional earning an above average salary in Aust and that 7000-10,000 peso equal one days pay. Also to give some perspective, in my home town, 1 hour with an FL er is $300 AD and the sessions are not always GFi'sh.

But in saying that, there are many many more reasons I'd rather live in Australia than almost anywhere else, or most places in the world.

It is not my first time to visit manila so I had some clues where to start. I'm 40 years old guy with a medium fit body. Look average. Mediterranean looks not blond or light skin guy so I don't fit the Filipino favorites.

Nice report about the Manila scene, but it needs some comments; Malate is not only for Asians. As a Caucasian I have no problem getting a girl there. The problem is in fact that the quality is quite average. In LA Cafe you can get a girl LT for 1500 - 2500 peso. I have done it maybe 10-15 times over the past 3-4 years. So your price estimate seems a bit steep for this place. I agree Royal Club is a good nightclub, but I have not experienced the pre-booked girls. Maybe that is not exactly what you mean? In my experience it is an open market, so you need to have some game, money or whatever. Agree the regular bars like H&J and some other places can be good some nights. It is a great area, with so many options.

I heartily agree that one has to experience both Burgos Bar girls & the Burgos Street massage girls (SW's) and many times over to make any kind of accurate assessment of the situation. There are three clubs in Malati. Exklusiv, Zzyzx and third one I don't remember the name. It is very hard to talk to anyone there only if you are Korean or Japanese. Though ZZyZy has a lot of fun. Specifically, having just spent 6 weeks in Bangkok and Pattaya before arriving in MNL, I found it very interesting to immediately sample the differences between the girls of both countries. I wanted to add a couple of exceptions to prior postings.

1. Barfine in Kojax is 3000 pesos.

2. I've only found girls to my spec in 6 bars so I spend most of my time there. Bottoms, Mirrors, Plan be, Kojax, Tickles and the bar across the street where you have to walk up some stairs to enter, I can never remember it's name. The smaller bars can have a diamond but timing is crtical because in my case they were always OPP. I have never tried a street girl on Burgos mainly because I go to Makati to party hard in the bars with the girls I choose. Most of the girls really like to dance and party.

3. I read someone say that you could eliminate the barfine by buying 10 lady drinks for your girl. I have only been able to negotiate a discount based on buying many drinks but never eliminated.

4. Kojax is the only bar that seems to cater to Koreans. You can barfine girls there but the Koreans get the VIP treatment when they walk in. Many times they come in Groups and order bottle service.

5. Natty good news on the restaurant front El Gaucho is opening a location in Makati a 2 minute walk from I'm hotel. They already have a hiring sign on the door so it should be open soon.

There were only 2 empty tables in the back of the bar (filled with 6 bikini-clad girls) for me to sit at. Dimples, Mirrors, and Bourbon all have the half-price happy hour.

Mirrors and Plan bee have mostly attractive girls. Dimples (and Hollywood bar towards Makati Ave) is the opposite; of 15-25 girls that might be working at any time, there are only a handful of attractive girls (4-6), and the rest might be age 30+ chubblies.
