Capital One credit cards are the same. No travel notification needed.

One of my American banks has done the same, they've even taken the 'travel notification' link off their Account webpage. On the phone they just wish you a good trip.
My AMEX no longer takes travel notifications, They told me when I book a flight with the AMEX card they know where I am going and not to bother calling them.

Credit card for Grab
You can sign up with Grab from home in USA, just use a VPN.
Don't forget to submit a travel notice to your bank before you arrive.

That is correct. Grab doesn't allow you to add it in US. Once you reach Asia you can add and use. Do it as the airplane is landing.

Yes. That's what they charged. Maybe be / see plan be is takeout?

I'd agree that direct debit to my own card is much easier.
It accepted my US issued Amex a few weeks ago. I was able to load my account and charge directly to my card. Worked in PH and VN without issue.

Got GRAB configured to add my card so I don't have to shell out cash constantly. Yay.
Arrived behind schedule at 10:45 pm, spent the first hour getting a feel of the streets and looking for a place to get food.
Hour later went into Plan be. Spent way too much on one Coca Cola and even more on 2 tiny lady drinks. Nominated one girl, she said she's on her dot only there for looks. Told me that after I bought her a drink. Pointed out my second choice was told she's one of those Japanese / Korean only performers. I left.
Got talked up by a street massage girl, said 500/ hour plus extra options available. Once in room full service was 3000 p told her friend only one girl please leave. They turned off lights. Pressed for and got bareback, and booted after one pop after I was promised unlimited. Used pull out method, told her I have morni g after pills she said "I don't take pills".
Trying to re-trace my spending and I'm pretty sure somehow massage girl (s) rifled thru my pockets and helped themselves to an additional 3000 because I know how many 1000 p notes I went in with. Only spent 200 p and 500 p notes at Plan be. Or maybe it fell out at Plan be. From buttoned up cargo short pockets.
Maybe EDSA or LA cafe bears better results tomorrow.
Your should always put your stuff in the safebox. There are lots of street / massage girls that will steal especially assuming you won't remember because you been drinking etc or if you have way to many 1 k notes. Also they know it would be hard for your to accuse them unlike if they work at the bar you can complain to the bar about the girl. And I would be careful about bareback because some of them get 5 customers a day just FYI. Also try to negotiate and tell them you will pay after all is done and if they can't agree just move on because they will most likely not stick to the deal.
Looking forward to your review of LAC and EDSA.

I use a usa Chase Bank M / see CC for Grab. It won't charge for prepaid wallet account but will charge for each trip. A few years ago was able charge 2 k prepaid which was more convenient for me.
