Hi,

I plan to be in Phil during January but I would like to have 2 or 4 HIV self tests with me there.

I have checked here, in France, they cost about 28 euros in pharmacy or about 18 euros on internet.

I understand from RTFF here that we can buy them on the ground there for may be lower cost?

What would your advice? Should I buy them when I will arrive? In pharmacies? Or where can we find them?

And are they easy to be found everywhere or mainly in Manila? I can have one night stop in Makati when I arrive? Or airport?

I personally don't know about pharmacy over the counter hiv tests. Bettter to be safe and bring them yourself. Then you can find out if they available here and the cost for next time.

I suppose there is a market for an '86 Honda Accord. Some guys like a high mileage, well-worn interior with that musty old-car smell, even if newer models are available for a third of the price. And there is value in the convenience of "point and click" shopping where it is delivered to your front door. Who knows, maybe it was rainy that day and the buyer preferred not to go out and inspect cars first-hand? Or maybe he didn't know where the new car lots were located and it wasn't worth his time researching it.

But both parties were happy with the transaction, and that's what matters - even if she would have let him have it for $2000 instead of $6000.

Lots of maybe's is what I am saying. Nothing to make assumptions on. "he was one of her first customers" doesn't mean anything. The only fact is what he said he paid her and he was happy with it.

What I think or what anyone else thinks about it doesnt matter.

True! I was merely trying to explain why she didn't have many customers. She is pricing herself out of the market. But if a woman in her late 30's with three kids can occasionally get 6 K, then more power to her. Live and let live!

I will be your first case. If I am ever paying for something that I could have or should have gotten cheaper then let me know. I am all ears. For me it sucks when I buy something and find out later I could have gotten it cheaper. But isn't it only pussy that does this to guys? If you tell them they could have gone on hotels.com to get the room cheaper instead of going to the hotel's website, then nobody gets mad and says it is nobody's business how much I give the Hilton. They just try the cheaper website the next time.

It has to do with the fact that the nature of the criticism is different. When a guy overpays for pussy, the criticism is often not "constructive" but more "angry" or laced with "ridicule" in that other mongers accuse the overpaying one of driving up the cost of pussy for everybody. Whereas, when it comes to the price of a hotel room, those who are getting the lower rate on the cheaper website don't get angry with the overpayer because they don't perceive that the former is costing them any money. They continue to believe that regardless of what the other guy is paying, they will still be able to get the same room at a lower price, and that the hotel isn't going to start yanking lower priced rooms from the low cost website because some guys are out there paying more by going directly to the hotel's individual site. In other words, unlike with the cost of pussy (and rightly or wrongly I don't know), no connection is made between what the guy overpaying for a hotel room is charged versus what another monger can get the same room for. The consequence is an extra dose of vitriol when it comes to allegedly overpaying for the pussy, and thus the often defensive and / or angry reaction of the overpayer. Every action yields an equal and opposite reaction LOL!

Whilst no one would reasonably expect any member to read every contribution, by simply going back 10-15 pages, you get a barometer for "norms". And it's important to call out, where visitors have overpaid (if mitigating circumstances have not been explained) because other newbs will come in, read the forum and start to think this kind of pricing is de rigueur.

A smart punter can get knowledgeable about the price range before he even walks into the venue by RTFF. It does not matter if the dude had a good time or not, OR if he can afford it or not, OR what the price is in Hong Kong. If the dude payed well over the market rate of a particular venue, then he was riped off, price gouged if you prefer and I hope that next time he is a little wiser. The only exception to this is the tip: if someone wants to tip a girl an extraordinary amount for what he considers really great service, say 5000, I probably will think he is nuts, but I would absolutely go along with the concept that it is his money and he has every god damn right in the world to do anything he wants with it short of hurting somebody.

Diffidently it's correct that it's any one's money and he have his right to do what he wanted even he gone nuts or ripped off. But I would say the real point has been over looked about the post of Mr. TenaliRaman. This dude referred a particular site, a particular person and described how he enjoyed with her. This dude using this site just to promote a girl with a set price.

Allow me to defend Tenali a bit. He's a new I would guess. I can cut him some slack. I recommend to newbs that its ok to pay more (for convenience sake) your first trip or two, until you have a chance to get the lay of the various landscapes. He was in town briefly, and wanted convenience, and ManilaCourtesans offers that for a premium. Party on, Garth.
