Years ago when Obama went to Columbia and his Secret Service team members got into trouble with some local bar workers by trying to be "big shots" and not paying and basically going with the "do you know who I am and what I do" I mentioned to someone those guys were dangerous and played it all wrong. Some may not agree with my approach, but my philosophy is if I'm doing wrong, then even when I'm right I take the loss. Better to pay for substandard service and get them out of your room than to be demanding, obstinate and wind up being on the front page of the news with pictures of you and your wife trying to explain it was a "mistake. " Eat the costs and move on. There's always another train coming, even if you have to wait until the next day when they start running again.

Agree 100%. I chalk things like mini scams, runners, etc as the cost of doing business. I try to learn the lesson if there is one to learn and move on. If the overall cost of the monger trip is a couple of hundred dollars more, so be it. I want to be able to walk around the streets of any Phil city and not have to look over my shoulder or ever fear that some lunatic pinoys (brothers, uncles, friends of the girl) will stab me in the back. Because that's how pinoys operate. Stab you in the back 50 times.

Yup, have to agree as my post below basically said the same thing that it comes with being a monger. Only way to avoid all these precautions and drama is to give up mongering and meeting strange and unknown girls. But then, which one of us on this forum wants something as boring as that.

Around 2014 I was in Dubai. At that time Who is here app was famous. I checked out many girls and found a stunning one. White and amazing body. So, we agreed to meet at her hotel room. I went there and she opened the door, the light was low. I did a mistake and got in. Then I found out that she is black around 6/10. She locked the doors. I told her that this is a trap and I will never pay. She said you have too, you already in my room. I was so angry that I grabbed her hair and forcefully asked her to open. Then 2 girls came out of the toilet and started hitting me. One of them wanted to call the receptionist. I told them it is not good for me or them to call anybody. I've had my share of runners too. Interestingly all barfines. Never online hookups. Being fully prepaid ala AC also skews the bell curve considerably.

I too have never had any age or extortion related issues. I had my wallet emptied once in Jakarta after I fell asleep, my ipad stolen in MNL, and a chick threaten to call the cops when I refused to pay her for undelivered services. The first two were my fault anyway for not following the most basic of security precautions and the third ended when she realised what my work was and my contacts were many levels higher than hers.

Not too bad for several decades of fun in some pretty interesting places 😉.

There are certain rules to follow to avoid nasty surprises.

1. Do not underestimate the intelligence of the girl in spite of sweet outward appearance and demeanor.

2. Never take for granted you have the upper hand thinking it is basically a business transaction where you are the one paying.

3. Always lock up all valuables in the safe. Only take some local money for expenses. Even then one Sweet Chinese girl who stayed with me 3 fun filled days messed up safe deposit box trying to open it by meddling to find the combination when I went to buy food. And another time Philippine girl took 1000 pesos from my pocket when I took shower.

4. As above do not trust anybody in your room.

5. Money wise I am beyond counting pennies. I am more than generous giving more than agreed amount. I know I get flamed for this but it is my money. Only time I stick to agreed amount is if the service is bad or the girl is nasty. Having said this a Colombian girl would not accept more than the agreed amount. There are couple of times when I failed to perform because of jet lag, drunk, did not feel attracted etc I still paid them the money.

6. Never had anybody threaten to call police. Maybe I am lucky.

7. A Dominican girl stole my cheap travel phone. That is my fault because I did not check before the security allowed her to leave.

She even pretended to sleep after the deed. Suddenly got up after an hour and went to the rest room. Came back with a Oscar winning performance feigning stomach ache. I let her go with some extra money for medicine. I got so worried next evening and went back to the same bar. She was there totally healthy.

Backtrack little. Before I barfined this girl who could not speak good English there was a girl who I wanted to barfine who spoke English. She said she on the period and could not go with or she did not like me. This girl asked the girl I barfined if she wanted to go with me.

So the next night I told the English speaking girl about what happened. She said the girl came back to the bar after leaving me and she was not sick at all.

No need to go so far to find these type of girls.

I had one exactly as you described with the same stomach problems. This was suppose to be LT and after one bang, she fell asleep and woke up 15 min later with extreme stomach pains. Totally convincing even with sweat from her face!!

Let her go to get better as she was useless to me for the rest of the night.

Went back to same bar next evening and another girl came to me and told me the girl I BF said I was unfair to her so she left me to return bar to be taken out on another BF.

If someone wanted to set up a monger then its sometimes difficult to avoid it. Yes, getting a girl from a bar lowers the chances but its still not zero. Remembering how some underage girls were still caught in the past working at bars with somewhat professional or altered IDs that said they were over 18. Get caught with one of those in your room and its still up shits creek for the monger having taken all the precautions. Just another thing us mongers have to deal with that no normal person has to. It goes with our lifestyle.

If you are worried, get girls in the bars vs streetwalkers as the girls will be over 18, or just don't go with girls who look really young. A lot of hotels have a policy of checking girls ID anyway and they would see if its fake, and although this seems like a pain it might just save your ass. The hotels don't want trouble in their hotel basically.

While there are a million stories, it's exceedingly rare for the truly blameless to be involved in an elaborate sting. There is always a backstory. Those that are abusive, idiots or fall out with business partners do however have a high propensity for arrests and drug busts.

The solution is simple: don't do anything stupid and fly below the radar.

There's no more bases in PI, but the overall shit still happens (but maybe not as frequently now).

Although the following didn't happen in Manila, the story is still relevant. I know a punter friend of mine was set up in Angeles. This happen about 4 years ago.

Girl approached him on the street and ask him if he wants company. He asked her for her age and she said 21. He was always the cautious type so even though she looked over 21, he wanted to check her ID. Official ID gave proof of age at 21.

Back to rented apt they went. He didn't even have time to take off his shirt while she sat on the chair taking off her shoes when police came knocking on the door.

Came in and said he was under arrest for having underage girl with him in the apt. He said he didn't do anything but that didn't matter as having an underage girl with a lone man without the girls guardian present was already a serious charge. He said she had ID, but cops took one quick look and said its fake.

Cops said he will be taken to police station and booked. He will spend time in jail until he gets a date with a judge to set bail,(which could take months or years), he will rot in jail until then. He will also have to pay for a lawyer..

I think everyone is getting this all wrong.

It is not a "bribe".

I call it either an insurance or a fee.

Insurance because we pay it as a preventive measure to prevent negative outcome.

Or a fee because its a price of doing business. No different than paying our own govt fees and fines to get somethings done or staying out of trouble.

Of course, that only means I hate paying insurance or fees / fines myself.

Just my take on this as bribes are illegal and Those paying a bribe also means they have committed a crime and I know we don't commit crimes as we are all honest mongers.
