Night clubs and discos were closed for about 2.5 years due to the virus, so there's no point in searching for reports from that time. There are a number of reports on how fun Royal disco was back in 2019. Don't know if it still exists, but it is walking distance from Burgos. Go after 1.00 am, and you will pick enough freelancers there. Some of the night clubs in Malati were for Koreans, but Royal was for all nationalities.

I can confirm Royal is still open. They did a major remodel and the place looks great. Lots of women and freelancers Thursday thru Saturday, not so much the rest of the week. I spent some time there in May, June, and July. Like ED indicated it doesn't start filling up until after midnight, so 1 am is a good time to go.

A few years ago I was taken by a taxi driver to 2 or 3 places in Makati area where they had a selection of girls to take out, quite like the goldfish bowl bars we see in other countries but without any frills, no bar and just seats around the edge for the 10 or 15 girls. It was a bar fine type system. These were completely unmarked, you would need to be shown where they are. Has anyone else seen any of these? Are they still there and if so how do we find them?

ZZYZX (Remedios Circle, Google Maps shows it opening at 10 pm) and Club Insomnia (Adriatico, near Remedios St, opens 10 pm -- Google again). Its possible that Insomnia is the previous Club Exclusive. Last time I was in the area was late last year, and both clubs were closed. Google them and call them after 10 pm Phils time to confirm if they are open.

I'm planning my first trip back to The Philippines in many years and will have one night (Saturday night) in Manila. I'm aware of LA Cafe and P. Burgos bars but would love to find some fun discos / clubs / bars with a good mix of freelancers and non-pros. I've RTFF, but haven't found any mentions. Any recommendations out there?

Probably the best sources of current info are guys that are in town NOW or YouTube posts. As others have said, any reports of what was happening preCovid aren't relevant.

I'd be looking around Poblacion, but that's just me.

Just a short update on P Burgous Street, there is two new establishments close to the junction of P Burgous and Makati Avenue, I was out a couple of times over the weekend so here is my update.

Where Arabian Nights was there is al Tarboosh (clearly an Arabic name) pic attached, which looks like a restaurant / bar that has billiard tables, given the theme it will also promote shisha smoking if you are fine with that. Doesn't look like a girlie bar, although I didn't have a drink in there.

Bourbon has come back, just down from the corner where it was during the pandemic, pic attached. It looks quite nice inside and will support live bands which seems to be what it is going for, I was approached by a mama to buy drinks for some ladies when I popped in over the weekend, so it might be a bit more of a low key girly bar, time will tell as it's only just opened.

Finally, just announced today that public face mask wearing is going to become optional which will I am sure create a few weeks of confusion as folks and establishments figure out what that means, as establishments will still have to enforce it (unless you are consuming food / drinks).

Plenty of lookers in all of those bars. Speaking of girls from previous bars. A number of gals from the former Mirrors and Bottoms have made their way back to the current scene, in Lips, Par Avion, and Dimples.

I thought there was serious decline in the bars over the last decade, prior to pandemic (save Plan B). Things are better now.

Take the worst looking photo, assume its flattering and the right girl but taken at least 3 or 4 years ago, and build your hopes on that.

I tired smooci in bkk years ago, before I knew about ISG. The first time the girl looked just like her pic and was a real syt. Really enjoyed. A year later, next time passing through bkk I opened the door hotly anticipating another syt and was stunned. She was good enough personality wise and willingto please but it was a case of 'take the worst looking photo, add at least 5 years, 10 kg and a number of skin blemishes'. All part of the learning curve. The filters have been vastly improved since then too.

I'm only in town for a few precious days, so it's just going to be point and fuck for me. If the girl is any good, it would be RTF for the duration. If she's good, I will not bother changing, but hopefully I will bump into my regular.

I have signed up for TanTan and in conjunction with Fake GPS pointing to the hotel I would be staying, I got an extremely good hit rate with girls a fraction of my age, .

I popped into Amors on Ebro street as reported by WestCoast1 a couple of weeks ago, and my experience was almost exactly the same (before 9 pm so it was early), it seems that it could be an interesting bar, I guess just need to figure out when to go there, so something is happening and I'm not the only customer.

I stopped by Per Avion recently and the latest 'sales push' was to see if I wanted to go to the VIP room, which cost I think 3,800 (or there abouts), after asking what did that get me I was told 2 K gets translated into drinks and the rest goes to your lady of choice who supports some of the wilder pre-pandemic activities that we seek here. Per Avion and Lollipop seem to have the same owner, and the VIP rooms are in the same building. I didn't try this yet so don't know how it fully works, would be interested to see if anyone else has experienced the VIP treatment.
