Hi all, long time forum reader but first time to post to get some of the latest info (and hopefully give some positive reports! I'm arriving on Monday and staying for a month in Makati. Haven't been in Pinas for several years (2012). Used to like trying my hand with freelancers of various types. The dating sites back in the day where always good. Mixed it up a little and went out on a Friday for a post-work session rather than waiting until the Saturday. Started at Bourbon, I'd read this was just a bar and no girls were there, this proved to be somewhat false, on sitting down outside I was swarmed by six or so women who were far past their prime. 1. It's not zero but you will have to look hard to find a Manila hotel that has joiner fees or isn't girl friendly. Of course that assumes you haven't booked a room for one at the cheapest dive in town or a running a parade of girls through a quiet mom and pop facility somewhere.

Just book a double room and play nicely and you will be fine.

2. You are quoting P Burgos. It's been 3900 bar fines for a decade at least. Yes girls' tips have gone up to 4-6000 but that depends on what you are asking for and duration. It's negotiable up to a point.

Keep in mind that it's designed for two night businessmen who just want a pretty girl in a safe English friendly environment without cost being the main decider.

3, Yes, there is still a very active street scene on and around Burgos with diamonds in the rough.

4. Overnight or LT is still very much alive. Just be clear on what you want before you pay and leave. I was in Makati last Friday and Saturday. Booked City Garden Grand hotel, otherwise OK but the slow elevators are a nightmare. Visited quite a few bars on Burgos Fri and Sat nights. Here is my verdict in random order:

- Lips: This was the first bar I stepped in. Played a few rounds of pool downstairs. A few ladies dancing. Nobody stood out. Upstairs had much more ladies. Something for every taste. A few really nice slim ones. Had a drink with a petite cutie but did not barfine due to jet lag.

- Maison: Not as many bargirls as in Lips and not so attractive. Friendly girls though. Bought a drink to a happy small one.

- Plan be: Lots of working girls here. Mostly standing on stage and waiting for punters to buy them drink. Some really pretty ones but generally lacks nice atmosphere and the set up is boring for me compared to Thailand agogo bars where the girls are allways dancing on stage.

- Neon Nights: This place is a dance club more than a gogo bar. Visited briefly, not my cup of tea.

- Cocorock: Small bar and some nice girls here. Played pool with a cute young one and would have barfined her but she was on her period so it was not possible. Downside is the music which is way too loud here.

- V8: This was the best place for me. Nice club interior, pretty young working girls and friendly bar staff.
