Come on. This is the Philippines, the country which is a living soap opera. The coup attempt was illusory, and the army didn't budge, and if the army here doesn't move there's no chance of a successful coup. It's business as usual and even the stock exchange here, though it was lower, did not go into the tank. The filipinos sure aren't panicked. They're out in Friday night droves, packing the restaurants, thronging to the bars, and in general ignoring the whole thing. Remember, this is a country of 80+ million people, and a few thousand protesters out on Edsa and Makati Avenues doesn't mean much. I bet the folks in Jolo don't even know about it.

I'm in Los Angeles now and just saw a brief news blurb about a general being arrested for an attempted coup and now the military is on alert.
What's the story there from someone who is there? I know it is not mongering related but I'm going back in 2 weeks and just like to know what's going on.

The girls had a great time. It was their first time on a plane. We're planning Cebu next time, but I am clueless about when to go regarding the rainy season there. Any help from other posters greatly welcome.
If anyone wants information on the hotel we stayed at, please PM.
My camera cr@pped out while there and am waiting for the girls' 200 plus pictures they took on their cell phones.
Sorry for long message!

One downside: when playing in the surf with two young lovelies who tend to take off their bikini bottoms once we're in deep enough in the turquoise water and hang playfully on me - I needed to send them up on the beach by themselves and follow a few minutes later in order to calm down and not shock the tourists laying on the beach LMAO.
Can't recommend Boracay highly enough for this kind of escapade- bring your own though.
Went to a disco with both of them dressed to the nines. I think it was Coocomonga. The locals were hitting on both of them on the dance floor (when I sat out a dance) and they would come back to the bar and say they brushed them off with something you would never hear in the US: "sorry, if you want to dance with us, you have to speak with the owner" (and point at me). Needless to say, no one came and asked. (I'm 200lbs and a gym rat.)
I did consider how "out there" it may have appeared to both locals and European tourists at the D'Mall to have two beautiful young girls holding my hands, kissing me, etc., and was wary about being too publically demonstrative so as to not cause "trouble". The walk back on the beach is long and dark!

The standard price of Cialis from a pharmacy is about PhP700 per pill. Now if you break that down to "shags per pill" it's really not too bad considering that the stuff stays in your system for up to 36 hours. It's far better to buy this from a pharmacy since the stuff on the street it likely to be counterfeit, though the packaging on the latter is very well done and it's easy to get fooled. There are touts all over the place selling what purports to be Cialis on the street.

Posts: 12[QUOTE=LoveAsian*****s]Phoenix One has just opened. It is a sister massage parlor to Skyline in the Grand Boulevard Hotel in Malate. Prior to the opening of this MP, the only other one in Makati that was even half way decent was Palacio Don Pedro. I am glad to say, P1 shows promise.
Thanks for the info LAW. What was the number of girls available and how would you rate them on a scale of 1 to 10 on looks and service?

They have a grand opening special right now for 1,200 Pesos, but that is about to end and then it goes up to 1,500. Still a bargain considering that PDP charges 2,000. The tip to the girl is 1,500 (don't even think of paying more. The manager has stated strongly on MTC that that 1,500 is the accepted rate). I have been there twice, once at 6:00 pm and once at 10:00 pm. The 6:00 time had a beter selection. While the selection was not quite up to the quality of Starfleet, it was still better then PDP, and at a significantly lower price. The rooms are also bigger and brand new. I really think the manager is quite daring to put the place where it is. A 5 minute walk from Greenbelt in one of the nicer parts of town. I have never heard of another massage parlor in this area before.
It is located on Arnaiz Rd (the local name is Passay Rd). It is between Makati Avenue and Paseo De Roxas Rd. Just ask any cab driver to take you to the corner of Passay Rd and Makati Ave. Then just walk along Passay Rd towards Paseo De Roxas. You will see a big JVC sign and also a big I-Bank sign. The place is right between the two signs. It is a well lit lobby with no name.

700 per pill probably includes the pharmacist's "surcharge" for no script, LOL.
I'm not sure of the prevailing price, but isn't it around $10 US a pill? If that's
the case, the surcharge isn't all that outlandish.
I got sick (allergies, then sinusitus) on just about each trip and an "outside" visit to a doctor cost me P100 or P150, so maybe visiting one for a script would lessen the cost.

Had a really nice dinner last night with CL in the heart of Burgos, at a place I never knew existed. Cebu, thanks for the excellent meal, the wine and the company. I hope I can reciprocate the next time you're in Davao. For those of you who may be contemplating a foray to Burgos, I would recommend that you follow Cebu Local's advice. It's accurate and it will save you money, time and hassles. The guy know what he's talking about.

I thought I'd let everyone know that Cialis can be had w/o a scrip at Mercury Drugs in Makati. Look for a male counter person and ask something like "do I need my prescription for Cialis?" The response will be "yes sir... please bring it next time. How many do you need today?" Kinda funny, huh?
Pricey at 7000 for 10 tabs.
Hope that helps a bit for those looking.
Starbucks was dead this afternoon. Will be out tonight with a friend and then heading to Boracay Saturday.
