I will have a short stay overnight in Manila while transiting on and I thought I would check and see if anyone has any good info on a place to stay near the airport rather than dealing with all the traffic going into town or to Makati? Just a short post here. Did not like the places I visited in Makati. All were asking 3000 Pesos barfine with "you give girl whatever you want". Sounded like a hustle to me. However, one bar, Rascals, accepted 1000 Peso barfine, with 2000 for girl, as going rate appears in other places in Manila. Took that one night, and changed hotels out of Makati, over to EDSA.

Man, if only I knew what I know now back in Mar last year! I was actually staying in Shangri-La and was free for a couple of nights practically searching for places of action! Even took a cab but just my luck that the cab driver couldn't understand English!

I had walked the length of Landmark and the mall areas and also the streets after that. Managed to find some Japanese clubs but they were too expensive! In the end had to settle to play pool in LA cafe I think (can't quite remember the name) with the manager!

However, will know what to do when I'm back in Makati ... hehehe!

Hmmm, depends on what you mean by "apartment". I had the "night off" with my gf away last night, so went for a walk. "Lando" insisted on introducing himself at the corner of Adriatico where the Pan Pacific is, in Malate. I'm pretty good at keeping these dudes at bay, but he's pretty good at persistance.
