After multiple visits to Angeles (and basically reading the whole forum from 2015 onward) I finally decided to test Manila or better Makati.

Due to work I only had 3 nights available for the hobby but tried to make the most of out it and I think I "visited" 90% of the bars.

My feeling goes with the majority of the ISG members that the best bars are Kojax, Plan be and Bottoms but let's go in order.

Day 1.

The first day I landed, took possession of the Airbnb Studio I rented 5 minutes from the bars and promptly directed my butt on Burgos street still in happy hour (it was around 18:30).

Being the rookie that I am I did not check the date and only at the first bar I discovered it was national holiday (Ninoy Aquino day) so I found most of the bars not very crowded.

Anyway, I decided to start from Shampoo (which I found really depressing) and shortly after I stepped into Tickles.

If I go into a restaurant in the business district in an american city to have a nice meal, and look at the menu and the prices read 5-10 x what is sane I'm leaving, lest one be a chump.

Regardless of what I can afford, or how "flexible"/ generous my expense acct, I still know I'm getting fucked not the other way around, and I'm way overpaying even if I get some kind of discount.

Or if I stick my company with the expense.
