LDs at the better Burgos bars have been 390 p for a long time now.

Technically the BF is 10 LDs ie 3900 p so you will only be forgiven drinks that you bought for a girl that you barfine, not yours or other girls. I'd expect there to be a limit to this. I'm not a big drinker but guys seem to get comped 3 or 4 LDs without problems. I doubt you would get the full 10 drinks but if you like to drink yourself and buy the girls LDs then just have a word to the Mamasan early in the night and see what you can work out.

Seems right. Was there recently and most of the bars in that place was 4000 for barfine. Unless you buy the girls drinks then you cover the barfine after 10 rounds. So make sure if you are buying rounds it gets deducted off your barfine. Fees for the girls vary, but paid 4000 for 12 hours (8 pm-8 am) for a girl from one of those bars.

This is very useful information. I was not aware of this system. Is it new? If I have a good chemistry with a girl in a bar I tend to spend a lot and a bar bill of 4-6000 peso is not unusual. So, does it mean that the whole bar bill can be deducted or only the part of it related to the LD's of the specific girl you want to barfine? Does this system work in the best bars like Kojax and PlanB? You also indicate that LD prices are at around 400 peso. As I remember they used to be around 250 peso, but maybe this has changed lately? I walked into Kojax and bottoms the other night in P Burgos St.

The barfine was 3000 php at Kojax and 4000 php at Bottoms and then on top of the barfines were the lady charges.

Is that normal? I remember 2 or 3 years ago in Angeles City the Dollhouse on Fields Ave was 3000 php for long time which included the lady fee.

Are the bars trying to rip us off or a.

The big difference comes if you have an accident. The foreigner is always at fault and always has to pay. There are some hassles you really do not want to invite on yourself.

I have rented several times here, always take complete pictures of the car before you get in, if possible include the rental guy in the shots to prove that this was the same car and in the condition when you got it.

Even doing that it was a 50-50 proposition that they would try to claim "damages".

I had a rental in Puerto Princesa once, the drove about 40 kms, outside of the city, and the clutch packed it in. They kept the damage deposit for the tow back to the city. If you rent from a major outlet the standard rental contract here includes that you pay recovery costs for breakdowns, even the major's do not adequately service and maintain their vehicles. (The company may pay for the maintenance but does it get done or just invoiced?

I will gladly pay twice or more than what Grab and taxi would cost to avoid all the hassles of driving a rental in this country, especially in a major city.

That is current for Manila / Makati. The bar gets a 100% of the barfine (non inclusive). So you will have to pay the girl a whole separate amount. Angeles, the barfine covers the bar and the price with the girl (all inclusive).

Barfining a girl in Makati will cost you almost double what it is in Angeles.
