So here we have this early-50's pinay, but with strong unadulterated Southern American accent, speaking English to a filipino guy, mid 20's, next breakfast table over. Mom speaking with american-born kid, i figured.
Ran into him in my wing of the hotel. Asked him which part of California he's from.
"No, my girlfriend is from Houston", he replied in a filipino accent.
If chicks in Texas can drive a pickup truck, I suppose they can also go overseas to get laid.
I've seen older white guys with local young guys, in Davao and in Cagayan de Oro. Hey, orientation-equality is the call of the moment.
Apropos of bakeries, the main part of Jorge Bacobo street, in between Padre Faura & UN Avenue, has an ordinary looking bakery, as your left-had side as you walk from Faura to UN. But in the back room, there's a display case with actual, correct, American style apple pies. With correctly made pie crusts.
Really an unusual find outside of the toney part of Makati. Perhaps the buyers are the physicians at Manila Doctors Hospital (UN corner Taft), many of whom have done residencies Stateside.
I return to Mindanao tomorrow. Back to rice, rice rice. It's the price I pay for the cheap pussy.

Posts: 198Skip, if you are walking on Adriatico coming from Robinson Mall going toward Pacific Plaza Hotel and on the same side of the street as the the hotel. You will pass by a cake shop about a block before you get to the hotel. The cake shop make wild cakes and sells vibrators, dildos and more.

Posts: 1562Sex toys and lingerie in Manila?
I haven't had need to look for such things in the past, but may have in the near future. Any suggestions where to look, especially in Ermita-Malate area?
Thanks, Skip

Regarding keeping valuables in the room, I purchased a nifty package called a pacsafe. I got it for about $40 from REI stateside, but lots of places sell it. It's a heavy nylon bag with steel mesh woven in to prevent cutting through. A cable draws it shut and permits it to be locked to whatever you choose. I usually lock it to the plumbing under the bathroom sink. I keep my passport, credit cards, camera, and most of my cash in it, and then just carry smaller amounts with me. It's easy to move stuff in and out of it when you need something or when you want to secure goodies during horizontal recreation. When not in use it rolls up to about 8 inches in length and maybe 2-3 inches in diameter.

Posts: 29Sorry, I don't know the names of the places we went to. I let the girls lead the way. The place with the live band had a guy on a keyboard and one on guitar and three girl singers. The lead singer was kinda plain looking and the other two were HOT. I would've loved to hang with the hot ones! I don't think it was a pick up bar. Several families, working people, etc. They also led the way to the other bars. All within blocks of LA Cafe. Next time I go, I'll pay more attention.

Posts: 4567Thanks for the post ME. / A lot of us have heard about LA cafe and also heard about sob stories.
I can't speak for others, but I would love to hear about the bar hopping and live girl band. Are you talking about G point or did you find something new and interesting? X

Would anyone know if there are good soapies in Manila? I searched the forum and came up with some reports on Starfleet but the most recent is from 2007 so I thought I would check... Thank you!

Went to LA Cafe around 10PM on Friday night. The place was packed but I was surprised by the quality of the girls, which I expected to be much lower. I did not stay long but spotted many cuties. It was just too crowded for me and being a cheap Charlie I didn't want to pay the 150 pesos to go upstairs (mostly because I did not intend to stay and I am not sure upstairs is any better than downstairs). The thought that some of these girls might be here because they are rejects from the bars who have STDs (as reported by other in this forum) also turned me off and I decided to head to EDSA instead, but in the end LA Cafe was better than expected.
I was planning to go to Firehouse but the mamasan from Bullets&Arrows, the first bar in front of the door coming in, recognized me from Cotton Club where she used to work. She has made good recommendations in the past so I let her pull me in.
Almost no customers in that bar but many girls including several attractive, tall and big breasts. One, her name is Yuki, started flirting with me while all the girls on stage were cheering and miming sex acts between us. Bought her a few drinks and had a great night. This girl would not say no to anything at all... We started DFK and all kinds of touching in the club, she promised to be wild. I woke up several times during the night and everytime I touched her she responded by moaning and cuddling, nice... Stayed until morning. The only thing I did not like is she had red eyes, she said it was the makeup but she also had red eyes in the morning. Drugs?
Yuki is 21, started working at 16 in Saipan where she catered to US soldiers, lost her virginity at 17 to an american customer who did not even notice. She was brought to Saipan (with fake papers showing that she was older) to be a waitress, found out once she was there that she was a gogo girl, did not have the money to go back and owed her inbound ticket to whoever paid for it. Courageous girl, very pretty, very nice. I gave her 3,000P. The drinks (some for the mamasan) and barfine were about 3,500P.

went to la cafe and hooked up with some nice girls. had lots of fun drinking, bar hopping, listening to a live girl band w/ hot singers, and karaoke. then they tell me they want to go home with me. so we go back to makati and they tell me their sob stories. homes flooded out, no food for their child, no job except lac, etc. they stayed overnight for 3k php. took them shopping the next day, had a couple of meals, more sad stories so sent them home. later heard through the grapevine that one of them spent all her money e-games (online gambling). i wanted to take her to the casino in the hyatt, but she kept on telling me how bad it is to gamble, but then dumped 4.5k php on e-games. i gave her an extra 1.5k for her son's bday next week and she blew all that too. met a couple of other girls on burgos who tried to pull the same games on me. i guess that's their game. they sure can be all sweet and sensual. guess that's what i paid for.

Posts: 397Zachary, your points are well taken. She has mentioned supporting family in the province and my report to the supervisor could well impinge on that. But thievery should not be tolerated and I am still very sure she was the one as there are just too many details that I left out of my report that are off. They all need to know to just take their payment and leave without touching our stuff.
Not going to post her picture if I get it, that would be overkill IMO. I'm willing to give her a chance to show she's been scared straight on these matters. I will say the phone number turned out not to be fake after all and she has been texting me furiously denying all. Perhaps there will be another chapter in this saga, but I am leaving Manila today so that will likely have to wait awhile.
