I dropped into Robinson's for a bite to eat and to check out this aspect of the Manila scene and yep, plenty of girls around. They stand at or wander around the forecourt area, with Starbucks off to one side, and their radar is on and always scanning. As a single guy in the mall, maybe just standing against one of the pillars at the forecourt and checking your phone, all you need to do is make the briefest eye contact and they'll wander your way.

I also found quite a few older women walking around with girls and offering them up– again, you just make some eye contact and they'll come up and the older woman will ask if you want company, want a girl. Now we all know how Asians can look younger than their years, and this seems to be doubly so for some Pinays – I'd swear that these ones looked mid-teens.

Also, just waiting outside the mall for an Uber, the same happened– you'll see several young ladies by themselves or with a friend headed into the mall and again, as they walk past, a little eye contact sets things up. Also some ladies standing around by themselves and 'scanning' away, plus some of the older women asking if you want a girl from them.

In short, if this is what you seek, plenty of opportunity at Robinson's.

I still have not found stuff on SW's and especially around Malate and Ermita which is where I'll be staying. I'm mostly interested in the safety aspect as well as the particular locations if any of you are able to provide them. I'm always careful but can I be sure that pimps and touts in these areas aren't setting me up for some kind of scam which is known to happen in the Phils.

You have four options for street walkers in this area.

1) Behind Malate Church at the southwest corner of Remedios St and Del Pilar St (the corner right behind the church). At night you can usually see a handful of girls on the corner.

2) Walking between G Point and LA Cafe. That's Padre Faura, Mabini, and Salas streets. This is onesey twosey girls. You'll also get the assorted lone fella trying to sell flowers, fake viagra, etc. Watch out for pick pockets. Ladyboys also wandering around.

3) Robinson's shopping mall. Late afternoon and evening girls will be outside the Starbucks.

4) Harrison Plaza. This is wandering around inside the mall during the afternoon and evening. The girls will make direct eye contact and stare.

I think someone mentioned many KTV bars or regular bars in Ermita and Malate are geared towards locals. I wonder if I might try my luck as I often get mistaken for a local pretty much everywhere I've been in Asia.

I think most in the area are geared to the East Asian customer. These are all over the area; the greatest concentration are on Mabini and Adriatico streets between Robinson's and Remedios Circle. I'm not a karaoke fan so it doesn't appeal to me, and it's also a rip off, but I visit a few times a year with friends. Those I've been to work on the 'consumable' business model where you pay between p600 to p800 per person for 90 minutes of unlimited cheap booze (beer, soju, and Emperador brandy typically) plus the she-sits-with-you-at-the-table fee, called a request fee, starting at p300 per girl per hour (and can go up) and the cost of the girl's drinks; she'll kick one back in 10 to 15 minutes, and they run from p350 to p500 each. You can extend your stay by hour increments of p400 to p500, again consumable. You may find a 10% service fee and tax added to the bill too. Smaller places tend to be one room with a small stage and the girls take turns singing. Larger places have private KTV rooms; these VIP rooms are p1000 to p1500. Some hire these dance troupes to come in and put on a show. BTW, the places that appeal to Pinoys are in QC, Marikina, Las Pinas, etc.

If you want a Filipino experience in Malate / Ermita you're looking for videoke. From LA Cafe go south on Del Pilar heading toward the zoo. The neighbourhood vibe will change; the bars and KTVs will be behind you and you'll find cheaper Pinoy places.

Been in country 3 months now and time for my TR. I am retired here and have time so my strategy will not work for vacation or work trips. It is a little time consuming and takes a couple hours every day but since all I really have to do is look for pussy that is not an issue. There is also a lead time for first contact and sex. Years ago when LAC was closed down for a few months by Mayor Lim and then re-opened as MBC, there was a suggestion (unwritten of course), that girls had to have a drink in front of them so that they appeared as though they were simply customers in a genuine bar / cafe having a drink. Sitting there with no drink made it obvious they were waiting for someone to pick them up. I also assume that LAC probably decided that they needed to get something back from the freelancers even though their main purpose was to lure guys into the bar hence the requirement to have to buy a drink.

Girls probably spin all sorts of stories to get newbies to buy them a drink. I have never been compelled to buy a drink for a girl. No girl has ever knocked back my offer of a drink either LOL.

Did some RTFF this afternoon, I did not find much more in reading 30+ pages going back to March of this year. Makati (P Burgos): Disappointed. Way overpriced for marginal talent. Went to several bars. Not many girls at the bars. Talent was ok, but not good as it was 10 years ago. But there were couple of cuties (like the old days) at Jools that were worth the price.

EDSA: Got there around midnight. Again disappointed. Looked around. Not many girls. Talent was ok, but nothing to rave about.

LA Cafe: Spent couple of nights there. There were some decent talent there. Also many below average girls. Overall, better than I remember. But most of them are moms.

Spot on. Lot of bad talent and mothers about compared to previous years. One must really sift through the crud to find any gems these days. Mongers who aren't super picky are still in heaven, however.

From time to time I enjoy a massage with extras at the very least the classic 'rub and tug', although I do like the massage to be a decent massage, a real 9/10 effort, rather than this 'running her hands lightly over my body' nonsense.

If I seek out one of these in Manila, what's the typical damage for extras such as the tug or a bodyslide? I figure the massage component will be cheap as chips but the extras will quickly head north, so keen to get a real-world idea of that so they don't charge me the 'white guy' tax and I end up paying well above the mark.

Usually I favour rub'and'tugs on my home turf and as an example, using standard Aussie prices for your mid-range Asian shop, you're looking at $60/ HR massage plus $20 for the tug and an extra $30 for her to strip off, so a fully-naked tug costs almost the same ($50) as the one-hour session itself ($60). Was thinking that this ratio be a decent guide in Manila and elsewhere, but then again I'm working off a small sample here so the concept of this ratio as a rule of thumb could be way off!

A straight massage is usually around 500 p or less, perhaps 750 at a high-class place. This does not vary too much with the client. Can be as low as 250 for a place that caters to locals and is off the track. (per hour)

Extra service prices are not standard. It will depend on if they think that you are just landed and they can charge closer to home country pricing than local pricing.

A good two-hour massage, great HJ release at Abacca will set up back 2000. 1200 for a one hour or 2000 for a one hour 4 hand session. This is one of the few places that have standard published pricing that I have come across. However, the attendants will not remove any clothing and do not allow any touching. (At least in my first 3 visits, not sure if you were a regular if you might get somewhere).

I have been asked as much as 4000 and 5000 for topless CBJ's. I just laughed and said I live here and the asking price drops to 2 to 3000. End up in the 1500 to 2500 range depending on how good the massage is and how good the girl looks.
