When I try creating an account on WeChat it asks me to get recommendations from 3 existing users. I don't know any existing users. How do I get past this requirement? Any workaround that anybody knows?

I just registered for a WeChat account before coming to KL and here. Don't remember the app putting up too much of a fuss. You sure there isn't a very light "skip" button in one of the corners of the screen? I've been here for less than 24 hours and have had at least 20 people try to connect. My own experience was from DIA, but just say you are in manila and in the second step ask for messenger, skype or whatsapp, don't talk too much on DIA or you can be banned depending on what you say. Better to talk outside DIA. And need a lot of Hi, I am in manila. Before getting the right one.
