Not sure of airline mask policies, you should contact your airline. Mask requirements in-country for public places were lifted weeks ago. No longer needed indoors or outdoors. However businesses can set their own rules. Hence, if the guard at this or that business denies you entry until you put on a mask, then just put the stupid thing on (that includes a mall, and that includes even if he is wrong). Arguing just delays yours (and others) entry.

OTOH, masks are still required in all PUV (tryke, motorella, moto-taxi, jeeps, regular taxi, Grab taxi, and pedicabs, to name a few).

I'm in manila currently. Anyone know of some good spots or bars to hit up? I've been to LA Cafe and I used to go to AirforceOne but that's apparently closed now. I'm also seeing that EDSA complex in pasay is also shut down.

Have you tried the bars listed in this forum thread?

Buddy of mine just gave me a report on Maison. Anyone ever been there? He was there last night and on a Monday night at least 49 single women available to choose from. Makes me mad I missed that one!

Maison. When it re-opened as Bourbon some months back, as you entered the front door, the old long dance stage, running front-to-back (and parallel to Badajos St) was gone. There was a new wall, cutting the bar in half, running perpendicular to Badajos, with a door. You walk thru the door, and the new stage was in the far rear of the bar (where the old Bourbon DJ / CR area was), running perpendicular to Badajos. 2-ish months ago they took out the wall. Now the place is one huge room again, like the old days. That's the layout.

My experiences in it since re-opening are all the same. Bit pushy from the mama and girls to buy them drinks. There are a LOT of girls in there, and rarely more than a few guys there (in fact never saw 5 guys in the place at the same time. Majority of girls are a bit overweight. There are still plenty of lookers, due to the large number of girls. Just estimating, 40-50 girls most nights. The number of girls has been increasing for months.

Recently inside I noticed two of the former Lion's Pride (formerly WowWow) bar girls inside (the entire time LP was operating, I only saw 2 attractive girls worth doing). One of the former LP girls went from working at LP its last operational evening, to dancing on the stage at Maison 2 nights later (average face, killer hard bod).

Bought the girl a jollebee dinner and let her do her own thing and went to the middle eastern restaurant to have dinner. After that checked out L A cafe. This was Sunday night at 10 pm.

Full of smoke. I thought smoking was not allowed inside restaurants and bars. However sat through one beer. Very light crowd maybe because it was Sunday. Few girls. Lots of men. Did not see any lookers. They said band will play later upstairs. None of the girls approached me or the couple of guys in neighboring tables. I was ready to check out the prices by talking to them. So I stayed half an hour inhaling all the unwanted smoke and left.

I was in LA Cafe a couple of weeks ago and pulled a plain Jane type, who needed money to get to her new job in Hong Kong as a domestic nanny. At least she had some hustle in her since she explained the agent could pay her way, but the interest charges would eat up her salary. Actually, was a nice lady and wound up staying the night and wish I would have had more time with her but that was my last night in town and I flew out that next morning.

Arrived in Manila after a stopover for few days in Istanbul. When I was checking in at IST airport the girl would not let me check in because I did not have a negative PCR test. I showed her one health pass saying cleared to board. But nasty girl would not bother to check or ask supervisor. I guess she hated me for whatever reason. Did not know what to do. Joined another line in a different counter and that time did not have any problems. The guy did not ask for anything. I had some trouble getting one health pass. Had to repeat three times and finally got it. On boarding they ask for the vaccination card. Arriving Manila first they check one health pass. Immigration was quick. Taxi to Manila hotel, Rizal Park. Although supposed to be a regular meter taxi he said fixed price of 800 pesos. I told him I am not paying more than 400 whether he turns meter on or not. At last he accepted grumbling about traffic and why needs the money. In in my one ear and out the other.

Manila Hotel has been refurbished. Nice hotel and room. One of my DIA girls is supposedly to meet me at the airport. When texted complained she does not any money and I need to send money for her fare which I had refused before. Anyway one of my back up agreed to meet me at the hotel. Pic attached. Check-in staff often make up their own rules, or have old non-updated rules that they follow. Alternativelu, if they've had a bad day they may just want to fuck with you. So it's better to come preperad, "PUBLIC ADVISORY No. 25 on COVID-19 TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS TO THE PHILIPPINES EFFECTIVE 30 MAY 2022" (issued by the PH consulate in Houston) clearly states that you may enter without a test if you are fully vaccinated AND boostered. I carried a print with the relevant portions highlighted. I didn't have to use that print, but it's cheap insurance. A supervisor with some brains may overrule an idiotic check-in agent after reading an official document.
