This is the culmination report of the 4 days in Ermita. I was at LA Cafe again on my last night around 5. Few 6's a couple of 7's and the rest were fuglies. Have you tried Uber / Grab here yet? I hear it is more reliable, fewer bad experiences. I might try it on the way out this week to the airport and see if it works, but if you've tried it already I'd love to hear your take. I know you say "you screwed up" by not recognizing the reference to "Taft" BUT how many possible details and hand holding can you possibly take care of for filipinos? Some things are bound to fall through the cracks. I suppose we should all draw out / print out map directions. A big benefit of Grab is that the app that the driver uses has a GPS map. We all know that GPS directions may not be the best route but they will get you there in the end.
