I was using Uber before the buy out, only because I had the app already on my phone, but found that the Grab app is better.

Attempt to write an unbiased report on my recent trip to MNL.

I had invested heavy time in Pinalove, Viber and Skype. I wanted a GFE feeling (I am aware it is just for the duration of my visit, no false hopes).

Met Thérèse at *** 3 as planned, was pleasantly surprised that she stayed to wait as my plane was 1 hour late, Paris-Singapore-MNL. Late 20's and darker toned skin, but a pleasant personality.

Picked up a Sim card, got Globe (thanks to advice from Pros).

She was very shy and was glad to see me finally. It was nice to experience a romantic surreal moment. Like in the films.

Got to our hotel. Nice and neat, not too costly. As I had to fly off the next day. To the provinces for work.

We decided to put our stuff in, then went straight out to SM for Chowking with her. She was happy to have the meal together, we talked about her family, her work, her relationships. A great moment.

Wonderful to be able to talk to girls in Ph, compared with other countries. Without signing up for Thai courses that is.

When we got back to the hotel, it was quite funny.

She insisted that we take shower separately, and I was not allowed to see her naked.

She asked to switch off the lights before coming out of the shower. I had already made sure she was not a LB, so no sweat.

We spent 10 minutes kissing and foreplay, before continuing with the serious stuff. DFK, DATY went well.

My thermometer test was the BBBJ and she passed with flying colors! We then proceeded to 69, before she started to ask for more.

We spent the 20 mins just enjoying each other's touch, with soft music playing, while she moaned and called.

I penetrated finally and I could tell that she was not a pro at all.

Ya, I miss Amazonia, too. Liked it better than LAC. There are some small clubs up the block from LAC but I can't remember the names. I spend more time in AC now.

Kind of depends on how much rain. Rainy season is typhoon season, so a typhoon will affect the girls yes. And heavy rains will effect the girls also, but more so in Manila. In AC I wouldn't worry about the rain too much (unless you melt with water) there are so many girls, and there for sure will be enough to go around, yes the numbers may be a little less, buy you may not even notice. In Manila, heavy rains will effect the girls, as they don't have a good water drainage system there, and the streets / roads will get flooded hindering transportation.

Actually, monsoons bring much more rain that do typhoons. Typhoons bring strong winds from East to West off the Pacific and do lots of damage, but because they move quickly they don't typically suck up too much water. Monsoons move more slowly, usually moving from Southwest to Northeast, and thus suck a lot of rain off the South China Sea. Sometimes they hold almost stationary (called a hanging monsoon or hanging habagat) and just continuously circulate rain onto the big island, Luzon.

Flooding does occur in the Manila streets, and it doesn't run off because of a) poor drainage systems and because b) much of Manila is relatively low-lying relative to Manila Bay and the rivers and esteros that drain the area. Taxis are often the first victims, since water in the streets is too deep for them. If you and lady friend are comfortable traveling in jeepneys, they keep going when taxis can't, because their suspension holds the passenger areas and engines well above water in the streets. Also, the light rail systems are not usually affected by rain.

Other tips. Bring a small umbrella, but strong enough to withstand wind. Carry pocket change and a few small bills. Entrepreneurial locals will put down wooden planks that straddle the deep water alongside the curb, and they collect from pedestrians for using the plank. Also, sometimes the best way to get across a flooded street is a pedicab; that is, a bicycle with sidecar and operators with strong calf muscles.

There is good and bad with that, depending where the girls are stranded it could also work to your favor, as the last heavy rain stranded many girls at work. KTV girls who don't normally go out with customers were eager to do overnights with clients (found them on wechat). Just as long as you stay at a hotel that has a backup generator and provisions enough so you can get things to eat. Don't stay on the ground floor, and if a heavy rain is due in, stock up on some supplies (water and food). I didn't have a problem before but it was only flooding for a week, I guess if it was longer, it would have been a problem.

Local or provincial elections are usually won by the highest paying vote buyer. I know a girl who travelled to the province to vote and was paid 5 k for her vote. A lot of voters got 5 k. When I meantioned this to another girl from another province. She said she only got 2 k for her vote! Corruption must pay well to buy votes and to continue the family business.

Not to get too far off topic but in a lot of jurisdictions this is the cause of a lot of post election violence. Big promises and commitments are made to garner votes on the assumption that a win will provide funding sources to fulfill these. It comes as a big surprise when the candidate places 4th and then has the masses banging on his door looking for what was promised in exchange for their vote.

Thanks G and Dg for your replies. The increased number of carriers moving to T3 makes sense. Tipping suggestions are helpful; 200 php is not a lot of money for anybody who can afford to travel to and from the Phils. It strikes me that average Filipinos don't think in terms of large tips, to cabbies, waiters, porters, or anybody else, and then they extend a sort of class deference to foreigners who do give comparatively large tips--by Filipino standards. It's the same sort of class deference that leads Filipinos to keep re-electing the same families to national office, as though only a small group of wealthy families are capable of performing these duties.

Last two trips I had a condo near SM Manila. Both times the taxis, one regular, one coupon, took me down Roxas Blvd. and crossed over to Taft at Luneta Park. The taxi travel time was not bad at all. I guess I was spoiled my last time in via PAL from San Francisco in November. Arrival at 4 am and departure at 9 pm, thus missing the worst of the crowds at T3. Perhaps PAL has the luxury of planning around NAIA traffic, especially for flights that cross the International Date Line.

We associated money and cost to our subjective earning power. 200 peso ($4. 00) is nothing compared to my hourly or daily earnings. 200 pesos is well above the average Filipino hourly wage. Hence waiting an hour is well worth it to them.

Your hotels are not that far away. Kilometer wise. Time wise is another story depending on the time of day or night.
