I prefer someone who has been at P4P for a while, and am not looking for a cherry girl, or newbie. " You simply counter with, "I'll give you 1000 peso's and a good tip if the service is good. " If she declines it just wait for another girl.

Also, you can't pick a "Diamond in the rough" at LA Cafe unless you frequent the place on a weekly basis. Do you think the girls will tell you they have been working there for 2yrs, 5yrs? Not likely. I saw a girl working there last January who I took out back in 2006. Her name was Joan and she fed me the same story about having been there only a week or so. It's all about economics. The girls at LA Cafe will tell you whatever they think works to get in your wallet, and many of them are very good at what they do. It's a business for them. Only pleasure for us.

I second this. My first time here, second day and this is now obvious to me. All the girls say the same thing. Also, definitely no standard exit fee for tax. You either got took (I did too, but in a different way), or were at a different bar. No harm, not much over the standard rate anyway although the exit tax thing sucks. Who did you pay it too? I would think it this was a scam by the staff you could go back and at least complain about it.

My 'short snooze' at 7am ended up lasting 16 hours. Damn, when I woke up I almost forgot where I was, I checked my watch and it was 11pm! I guess I had been getting away with 5 hours of sleep or less for like 4 days or so and the bill had come due.

Anyway, headed out immediately for some food at Max's, which was around a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Pretty good fried chicken, although I think I like Popeye's better (king of fast food fried chicken!). After eating, I decided to head back to the hotel for a bit as I still was feeling a bit woozy from the long sleep and I guess having some beers with dinner didn't help either.

After relaxing for a bit, decided I wanted to head out and have a few drinks. I went to the LA Cafe (chill side) as I just wanted to zone out and drink for a bit before going out and finding a girl. Hey Man. Good report. You need to understand, LA cafe gets a lots of hype around this forum which is not really worth it, as its a crappy hole for old expats who live here and have plenty of time to drink and die.

Thanks man. Like I said, I've been reading this forum for a while now (back when it was another forum) and want to give something back (even if it will only benefit the rookies). Yeah, as I mentioned in response to a previous comment I think I'm done with that place for now. I can see the attraction, but maybe just not my cup of tea as I thought the top girls at EDSA were way better (IMHO) than the finest I saw at LA Cafe. I know they are more expensive, but what the hell. I'm on vacation.

I have been telling mongers to avoid LA cafe since the day I visited that place, its getting promoted for no good reason other than it is owned by an Australian. Don't blame candy or chocolate for the bad experience, you could just avoid the whole place, and you will be safer.

Someone recommended it in the 'Manila Hotels' thread. It looked pretty cool online, but much like an internet escort a little different in reality. I only had a brief visit to Manila this year - nothing that could be taken as statistically significant. I paid girls from LA Cafe (based largely on recommendations on this board) either 1200 or 1500. I basically said to them that that was what I paid and that it was 'up to them' lol. At G-Place, I paid 1000 which was accepted immediately.

I felt the quality of service, attractiveness of the ladies, their degree of sophistication and so on, even the ease of obtaining a good experience in a short amount of available hunting time, was far superior in all respects to AC. Fans of AC might well disagree. But I probably wouldn't hesitate to return to Manila if I had cause (based on the mongering) - especially as I had only scratched the surface so to speak. What's more, I found it fun. Though transport is not great and the options for worthwhile things other than mongering seem to require considerable effort. But LA Cafe was good value. The small bar opposite of the same name is a nice place to chill and laugh and joke if the sales pitch in the main bar becomes oppressive.

I feel a sense of some affection for the LA Cafe girls and those in the surrounding area. And the prices meant that money wasn't a big issue, and I quite like that.

Ah Manila...........

I had a question about Sim cards and minutes before I left. At the airport after exiting, there is an exchange booth that, as was stated before gave $ 45.50 which was just below what I received in AC. There is also a Smart kiosk selling Sim cards and minutes that was $540 PHP, which was enough for texting during the week. The lady installed the Sim, called the number, and had my phone working prior to leaving her.

We went to one of the bars near our hotel (Omni) and while they had some hot young ladies, the quotes were out of the ballpark, $3,000 ST.

We later hit the infamous LACafe. For those who have been to Costa Rica, think the Hotel del Rey/Blue Marlin, except with more hustle. It was like a strip club. Look at a lady, and she would be right there, whether you wanted her or not. Being in TJ twice a month or so, my ability to say no is very advanced.

Anyway, after having a couple of rum & cokes, I spot a lady who looks out of place. Nicely dressed, not drinking, and by herself. I talk to her for a while, and then we go to eat in the pool room. It is average food at best. After dinner, we go back out to the bar area, and the crowd has grown to about 5-1 in our favor. The lady that I had been talking to was still by herself, and I sent over a drink (she ordered pineapple juice) that I told her I would buy earlier. A lady standing beside me asked me why I did that, and I explained that I had told her I would buy a drink for her earlier. She goes up to the lady and tells her to come sit beside me. pick up girls from makati greenbelt area bar called havana cafe...lots of freelancer and better than la cafe vibe.

as this is your first time, you may be better with trying havana cafe freelancer girls than burgus street gogo girls, they seems to be more mature, besides it more fun there, lots of restaurant etc.

you will save more money with freelancer girls save on barfine and use that money to pick another girl :)

ok. first trip report for me, so here goes.

found myself with some unexpected free time, and having been a frequent lurker on the board for some time now, i had always wanted to try bangkok, china, or the phillippines. bangkok was my #1 choice, but in looking at my travel options, manila was the only place i could get a direct flight that wouldn't take 30+ hours (searching online travel sites). based on the travel time required, manila seemed like the best choice for me as i could maximize my time there. i also liked the fact that english is spoken by almost everyone there. i figured it'd make everything a little easier as i know zero tagalog, and wanted to chat up the girls a bit. anyways, this entire decision making process happened on saturday morning the 20th. after reading through the board a bit more, i decided to go for it. as my finger hovered over clicking the button to finalize the ticket purchase, i admit i did have second thoughts as i normally like to prepare much more in advance for first time trips. but after looking through some of the photos posted, the little head made his voice heard and click it i did. flight to manila for sunday night and reservations at the g-hotel.

holy shit. i have only a day to prepare for this!

there wasn't near as much to do as i thought thankfully. after printing out my flight and hotel itinerary, grabbed my passport, packed a few changes of clothes and some toiletries, then headed over to costco for a box of condoms and having read on the board that chocolate was very much appreciated by the girls, i picked up a bag of ghiradelli squares. as a sort of spur of the moment idea, i decided to pick up a rabbit vibrator (unfortunately costco doesn't stock these so i had to head over to the nearby adult toy store). never really been into toys before, but i had all kinds of porno shit playing in my head and i figured if i got two or three girls, it might come in handy.

after snoozing for several hours, i woke up around 2pm and decided to head over to the la cafe area. i walked around for a bit to get a feel for the area. there's no real sidewalk on many streets and no stops or lights, so you have to be pretty nimble and aware of the traffic. even at 2pm on a tuesday afternoon, there were a lot of girls working the street. people weren't kidding about the girls being aggressive. i made accidental eye contact with one and she followed me for like 4 blocks. she was actually pretty cute, but all i wanted to do at that time was get a bite, so i blew her off and headed over to robinson mall. the mall is pretty huge, i didn't bother walking through it all figuring i'd have time to do so over the next several days. i recall reading some posts about other isg members trolling for freelancers there. i wasn't planning on heading that route for the first day, so i didn't really pay too much attention. maybe later. after grabbing a bite, i decided to head over to la cafe.

anyway, the place is pretty interesting (i forget what it's called), but there are lots of vendors selling all types of seafood (lobster, crab, shrimp, fish etc.) and a person from the restaurant walks around with you. we ended up getting a kilo of crab for 500php and had the restaurant prepare it in a chili garlic sauce with some fried rice. two san migs for me and a melon shake for her and the bill came out to about 500php. during dinner, she shows me pics of her daughter. i tell her i'm going out drinking after dinner (she doesn't drink or smoke) so we'll probably call it quits then. she says that she will be my guide for the evening and wherever i want to go she will help me out for no charge. she also admits that she is bad at sex and does this once in a while (she works a regular job at a jollibee) to make money for her daughter. same ol' story. pregnant in high school and the guy ran out on her. anyway, after dinner she insists on finding me some quality tail and says she will take me to 'the complex'. after a bit of inquiry i find out this is the edsa complex and as i had seen it mentioned on the board but didn't know a lot about if figured she might be helpful. so off we go!

ok. i know i've only seen la cafe on a tuesday afternoon, but damn edsa is the shit. we walk through all the different clubs and there are 15-20 girls lined up in bikini's on stage (no hidden stretch marks or droopy boobs!). sit down, have a few beers and make your pick. for some reason, candy decides that she is going to tell everyone that she is my wife and we're here to pick a girl for me. Yes other than Don Pedro, the only morning place I can think of is Air Force one. And I am not even sure they are open that early. Also they are in Paranaque, which could be an hour ride each way.

I am sure you could google air force one and get their hours.
