raise prices to attract more customers!!! Brilliant idea!! I mean fxxk those idiots who study economic for many years, cause in the Phils bars knows how to run business and make a profit LOL
Why not change peso prizes to Dollar prizes. Example, one LD in Makti is then 350 US $.
Ok, quite expensive, but those minority of guys who wil go there and pay it , Well, dont need many of them for sure, but bars will make a hell of a money LOL
If this was off the topic, sory then :D
Happy hunting!!!
11 days to go!!

Thanks for the info. I fly in about 2 weeks and I stay at least one or two nights over there to meet up friends etc.
I have to admit that Im also one of the foreigners who wnt there to f.. filipinas (LOL) very funny this mayor, if Ermita is dead again, people might consider him not to elect him any more, but thats not my problem,PI wont change a thing, will never be well developed and wont ever get off those very korrupt politican. Smart pinoys leave the counrty allready and so the potential that things might change is gone.
There is a huge demand of callcenter employees all over the Pi, but companys get fed up with applications, cause most of the people who apply fail easiest tests , compared to driver license tests. In other words, those who apply there are f..stupid (not all but most of them) So before closing things and being the moral apostel of the PI, he should consider that.
Congrats also that he really say that all the foreigners go there just for f...in..that would really [CodeWord140] me off if I would invest some money in PI(and as you can see my few lines off topic here Im pissed off allready :D)
Anyway Im looking forward to have fun and yes Edsa will be ok if evrything is closed in Ermita you can allways get lucky there.
Happy hunting

Posts: 4084Yeah. Theres no posting in the Makati board hence this post here. Was in Manila last weeeknd and did my normal Makati Burgos thing. (no point posting in Makati baord. No one replies etc) Some bars are always good, some are just weird. Blush was a weird one. Al the gals there are 30A cup. Nothing to look at despite the fact there was 30 girls. But wowowow was the strangest. Some ok girls but most are sleazy. They get their tits out if you smile at them. Anyways on first night there. Theres a Filipino family there. Including the 8 year old daughter! Then in comes another family, mom dad and the two young boys. Maybe early teens. The dad was happy when one gal stuck her tits in his face and wrapped her legs around his neck. Next day I'm sitting at the bar quietly fingering one gal. When in walks this giant black guy. My gal (the one on the end of my finger) says its the owner. He was 6. Ft 3. Looked like Shaft. Bald head etc. He walks in bar, looks around. , theres a Russian looking guy with him. And some Chinese guy with him holding a briefcase. The black guy had a limited vocabulary. Every other word was "fuck". All the girls looked at him with that look that Filipinas have that says. "yes your the owner but we hate you". Was a strange place.
Anyways yeah I know that all the Malate stuff will close. The question is where will it relocate too. Not enough business in Makati. So will be interesting if a new place is made.

I have just come back from 3 weeks in phills, and spent my last 2 nights in Manilla. My favourite bar for girls was Stringfellows but the new mayor has banned them from having any go go girls, so the place was completley empty, except for a few watresses.
La Cafe which most times I have had some good looking girls from, was this time always full of the sort of girls that keep on pushing you to talk to them you know the not so beautifull ones's!
All the talk in the La Cafe is on the imment closure of the bar, the new mayor has told the press that the foreigners only come to the phillls for fucking the girls. In the end I went to edsa entertainment complex, where I found what I was looking for, (18-20 slim, no babies, just of the ferrry) but the prices are much higher than ermitta, as you end up paying 3-5000 peso including barfine, ladies drinks.
I think I will give manilla a miss next time, and go straight to ac, I just hope that new govenor in ac doesn't follow on from what this mayor in ermitta has done.

Ok, I think we all made our point about airlines. I, like others on this board, am quite passionate about airlines. There are airlines that I love (cathay Pacific, Southwest), and those I hate (asian spirit, United, Northwest, Lufthansa). Based on your own experiances, you will have different opinions on particular airlines. Once I am burned by an airline, I never use them again unless absolutely necessary. If everyone did the same, there would be no bad airlines.
But back to the business of fucking, Philipines style.
Customers appeared particularly sparse on my last couple of trips to EDSA complex. Girls were not, resulting in some particularly good barfines. In fact, I have had three truly spectacular barfines from the complex in a row. Quite unusual, considering that I would only estimate that 1 in 4 barfines for me rate as spectacular. However, ALWAYS get there early. I recommend 8pm. The Japanese have a good eye for spotting the new talent and barfining them early.

What is the benefit of taking a direct flight that puts you into Manila at 5-6am? My indirect flight puts me into Manila at 11:30 am and I am fully rested, my biological clock is set for Philippine time and I never have jet lag. I do this on 200-250 usd cheaper and on a safer airline. Sure, everyone can do what they like and everyone has different timelines, but sometimes people think that spending more is better.

But I absolutely agree with you that my friend is an idiot for checking his bags. All those people lining up to check in bags; they're all idiots! I mean, what moron checks on bags. Just buy all your clothes and shoes for your three week trip in the Philippines. And my friend brings all his bulky camera equipment. He can just buy that here as well. Same with the liquid and gel toiletries. The only problem is the nail clippers and pocket knife. The trick is to wrap them in aluminum foil to beat the xray machines. If they happen to find them in a manual bag check and ask you why you are smuggling a knife on board, just shout "bomb" and in the confusion run. They'll never get you.

hi to all,
any news about LA cafe?? Im flyin in three weeks and first stop will be in Manila. Last time I made contact with some cuties over there and I hope its still open.
X man I read ur soon be there, please let us know if things still normal in ermita.
Btw last time I had great arabian fud there, you sit outside, watch the cute wetress and have delecious meal, they serve no alcohol there, but thats fine with me cause La cafe is just walkin distance. Nice place to bring ur gf there, you can sit outside and relax.
Its a side street between Mabini street and MH del pilar...walking distance from my hotel I stayed before (frendy hotel) Biggest rooms I saw for 1500 pesos.
I might stay there one more time or check in the bayview park, 50 US is a gud bargain including buffet breakfast.
Im exited again, guess Im viewing the forum evry day now before I fly.
Speaking bout airlines I come from Europe so I take Emirates which is a great airline, I can recomand. hey have an excellt FFlyer bonus system and a very gud service , allways on time, and if they start late they make it up in the sky.
Last time on my way back from Manila to Dubai they gave me upgrade and forget to deduct from my miles. I told them I sent email some days before to redeem my miles on an upgrade and havent heard from them, went straight to the business class check in. they upgraded me to business class. still got my miles :D

I usually play the frequent-flyer game and earn miles on domestic trips in the U.S. and redeem on biannual Asia trips. To get the 60K award in summer it usually takes a creative multi-city booking (so you can hit all segments with the award seats). People who call or check the website for straight round-trips are usually told all are gone unless they spend 50% or 100% more miles.
