I don't get all that EDSA sarcasm. Let me just be blunt. This time of year on a Saturday night, the Firehouse is just FANTASTIC. Of my last 5 barfines over the past two weeks, four of them have been from the Firehouse. Honestly, the place is up and down and I have gone months without a single barfine from the place. But for some reason, the place really attracts new girls this time of year. Much more then other bars. This is my third Christmas since moving to Manila, and it is amazing how much the talent improves during the season. There were many brand new girls there tonight, as there were last weekend. I took two, and would have been happy with several others on display. And I am generally quite picky, often going through a dozern bars without finding anyone. The only bad thing is that the whole thing ends at Christmas and finding a 9+ can become quite a search at the beginning of the year.

OK. I agree I got taken in. I guess I really don't care. I had a good time and the money means little to me. We both ended up happy in our own way. My only regret is that the little spat over money tarred an otherwise wonderful encounter.

Last night I visited G-point (mentioned on this board). There were a number of girls available but the only one I found appealing was the manager, Lily. I flirted with Lily a bit but it wasn't clear this was heading anywhere (and she was busy doing her job). Soon 2 gals approached and I talked with them a bit but ultimately left to go over to LA Cafe again.

In LA Cafe I found a really delightful 18 year old gal and took her home for the night. In LA Cafe, I asked her how much she wanted for a few hours at my place and she said "whatever you want" so I offered 1500 PHP (so we would have a precise amount) and she accepted without haggle. She had to leave early this AM and picked up the 1500 I left out for her without counting it.. then gave me a kiss & hug before leaving. I have to admit that I'm rather smitten by this gal (she's really fresh and affectionate... it was wonderful the way she cuddled up to me in bed as we slept, this is something the first gal did not do) so I have another date with her tonight; we've been exchanging text messages today.

So, with a repeat performance planned, this means I probably won't make it to EDSA or even P. Burgos on this trip.

I tried booking the Richmond in Cebu via the web yesterday (before seeing the messages here) but they have not responded. I did this because I thought the Richmond *is* near the action in Cebu... which I thought was in the Ayala mall area. So I'm a bit confused as to where the action is in Cebu but will try to make a selection based on all the advice I've received. Hell, if I remain smitten with this gal after my repeat performance tonight, I may even skip my visit to Cebu altogether.

After 3 weeks in China, the Philippines seems like heaven on earth.

Maybe things are different here in PI, but back in the USA we'd leap at the opportunity to go to such a place. There's a whole industry built on catering to guys who want to go to such places... consider Hooters and then move downscale from there if you want examples... probably because American guys are starved for the lack of real sexy women... that's one good reason why we come to PI.

Please don't take this wrong--but I have to respectfully disagree with X Man regarding Edsa Entertainment Complex. I know X Man is a great contributor to these boards but I happen to have a different opinion.

I've never barfined a girl there but I have gone a couple of times. I like the idea that there are literally hundreds of girls to choose from in a bunch of different bars in one complex. With that many, you are bound to find one to your liking.

I don't remember the barfine--I think it was only 1000, and the girl will probably settle for 1000 - 1500 for all night. I once got the number from one girl because I was staying at a hotel where all the employees know me and my wife and I didn't want to walk in the door with her. She called me a couple of days later and came over and never mentioned money. She would have stayed as long as I wanted her to but she ended up leaving at about 4am or so. I gave her 2000 and she was really happy. I'm sure I could have given her less but she was really nice so I gave her a little more.

I didn't see the morals being any different than any other bar I've been to in Manila.

I concur with X Man. Holiday Plaza is decent for the price. Includes a nice breakfast for two in the main floor restaurant, has a fair rooftop restaurant and bar. Nice views up there. Like many PI hotels it's old and smells of cigarettes in the halls but my room did not.

Silver Dollar bar is very close by. I liked the place, others have posted differently. Met some cuties for ST at Robinson's mall. Easy pickings there. Also met a girl at Fuente Osmena sitting on a park bench. We went for a brief lunch then a 1000 Peso suck and shag back at the Holiday Plaza.

My advice is to meet a taxi driver you feel you can trust. Taxi's are very inexpensive and a good, trusted driver can get you into some cool places and keep you out of bad ones. My driver was named Chito. For 200 pesos he'd drive me just about anywhere in Cebu.

One night we went to Jakosalem (SP) street and the cheapo, bugao infested alleys purveying 500 Peso ladies. Found a very nice 19 y.o. with huge cans and perfect dsl (dick sucking lips). Performed well for USD10.

There's my nickels worth. Enjoy the PI!

Yes ,you did overpay. Going rate for allnight is 1500 if negotiated and 2000 if not. But money is only part of the picture. Good service deserves extra.
Yes, next to EDSA. It is several bars clustered together. Yes, it is more expensive than La cafe. But you can get real stunners there. I had one from mindanao, smoking hot. and very good service too. I paid only 3000 total for all night. Quite tall and very good firm boobs. i almost made her my GF. But she said she is seeing a married businessman.

I've never paid that much, but it sounds like you were happy. I think she was too! It's always good to have 100 peso bills. If you get one who pesters you for extra money, resist a bit, then give her a hundred. Then she'll ask for taxi fare. Tell her to take a jeepney. Or, if you're a nice guy, give her another bill.

As for your Cebu hotels, the last two might be too far for walking. If I'm not mistaken, they are closer to Ayala Mall. Taxis are cheap and you rarely have to fight with the drivers like in Manila.

I'd go for Midtown or Holiday plaza -- very close to bars, Robinsons mall, money changers, Internet cafes, restaurants, and drugstores which carry bottled water and snacks.

Can anyone tell me if I overpaid or was taken in? What is the standard price and scene at LA Cafe?

Anyway, I like this so much that I may not explore further than LA Cafe in my 3 days here. Is that a mistake? Where is EDSA and how does it compare?

Just got to PI yesterday. Staying at the Cherry Blossoms hotel in Ermita, Manila. Standard room is fine at 1515 PHP/night including 2 breakfasts and its only 4 blocks to LA Cafe. After wandering around in the afternoon, I found my way to LA Cafe and the numerous lovely ladies there. I was told by an American ex-pat that they are all freelancers and standard price is 1000 PHP but I assume this is for short-term. I took a honey back to my hotel (no problems doing so) and spent the whole night with her. Initial agreed-upon price was 2000 PHP but in the morning after breakfast and our 3rd round she wanted 2500 PHP. I resisted (since I don't want to raise prices and I don't like the last-minute price increase) but she had been so nice, and she even cried as I resisted, that I eventually caved and paid her the 2500 PHP.

Can anyone tell me if I overpaid or was taken in? What is the standard price and scene at LA Cafe?

After spending 3 weeks in China, its refreshing to get good service by pretty women who actually seem to like what they do. Mine included DFK, BBBJ, and DATY easily... these services are all pretty rare in China. Its also a bit of a relief to be able to communicate with the ladies (I speak no Chinese); but even setting the communication issue aside, I the PI gals appear to provide higher quality service. Also, I get real tired of the Chinese mommas constantly pulling on my arm and pushing for the quick sale.

Dont waste your time buying this nonsense. On last trip I felt like messing with some guy on Burgos so took my packet of Viagra out and compared it with his.

Just to add. I always used to use Anito in Pasay City Edsa. Then they stared building that on ramp towards domestic airport. That meant I had to "learn" the back way out. That took you throught streets of kids playing basketball until eventually arrived back in Makati. Only prob with Anito is you arrive in your car. Put you in a car park garage next to room, then tell you room will be serviced so wait 20 mins "please sir".

So then I started using Kamagong Inn near Edsa Heritage Hotel. Thr VIP suites were good and had nice themes. And big jacuzzi.

Then competition came in form of Sogo next to Kamagong Inn. Its newer, cleaner and better for me. Thats now my regular spot when I visit Manila.
