But NGOs can be a lot more fun than he suggests. There were interesting stories coming out of the UK a few years ago about the Middle Eastern and North African refugees in tent camps at the French end of the Chunnel. Seems that adventurous British women were traveling to the Calais camps under the guise of volunteering for NGOs, but were actually there to exercise their jungle fever with men and boys (including those in their tender teen years) from the Middle East and North Africa. It's also true that Oxfam had a huge scandal from its workers sexually exploiting the locals amidst the onslaught of NGOs that took over Haiti following the 2010 earthquake. Oxfam was founded by Oxford Quakers to relieve famine in Greece during World War II. So maybe the problem isn't the NGOs, it's those damn Brits.

You are sounding like a frustrated social anthropologist. There are far better sites than ISG to share your thoughts with fellow learned professorial types. I would add that as you have lived in an expat bubble for 20 years, it is you who has lost touch with the outside world.

This is no different to the top end of town as the rich in the Philippines are also scammers, liars and cheats. The Philippines did not get its deserved reputation as one of the most corrupt countries on the planet due to the honest and ethical behavior of the educated, political and entrepreneurial classes. The very circle you claim to mix in also has no morals. I would say these people are worse human beings as they actually have choices in life.

Folks don't like to hear this, but this is the root cause of many of the ills you see not only in the PI but in other nations including our own. Those who supposedly "know better" really don't and wind up screwing those below them all the while blaming it on someone else. It just so happens that in the USA we have a large enough base of "regular folks" who can sort of make up for bad decisions made by those who supposedly knew better and we can bounce back.

The richest man in the world used to be a Mexican national who owned the phone lines into Mexico, and got his fortunes from those who fled to other countries to find work, and wire money back to Mexico. Heck he even owns one of those prepaid phone companies in the USA. This guy is a billionaire, yet you don't really see him stepping up to helping fighting the corruption down there since that would eat into his business model. Same could be said for the PI. Look at those who own the export agencies for sending foreign workers overseas as well as the remittance companies and see where they fall on the socio-economic ladder, and what they have been doing to foster more economic growth. Heck Imelda had closets full of shoes that are bigger than some of the places people live whom she supposedly is looking out for. Clean up the corruption at the top, maybe it will trickle down and some of the more regular folks would get a chance, but I seriously doubt it. The PI is what it is, and the women (and men) will find a way to separate a fool and his money any time. That being said, it is up to the "fool" to determine how much he is willing to give up, instead of trying to change a society.

GE is a long time poster in this forum. He has posted balanced reports. His knowledge of Philippines is enormous. He has willingly helped many of the mongers with good girls he knows. He is not looking for donations but just helping guys to have fun.

Your constant defence of Filipinas and Philippines won't work as you're pitching to the wrong audience. This site is for horny mongers to exchange information on how they can find and fuck Filipina prostitutes on the cheap. It's called increasing their root conversion factor (RCF) hahaha.
