That was not very long after I started pursuing our hobby. I saw that fight on tv and started becoming interested in Philippine women. I found them so beautiful. The Philippine women now don't look as lovely as those I saw back then.

So I could believe that there might be freelancers around, but I've never seen any that stood out.
This is a really busy area as there is a major bus station nearby.
There probably is a lot of crime in this area but I never saw any. My exposure was over the course of a 4 night stay in the area back in 2011 and my 1 night exploring at the end of 2019.
I would say, you could probably find some freelancers in the area, but you'd be I'm not sure that they would be high quality and you might spend quit a bit of time looking for them.
I have heard that the filipino nudie bars in the area are quite good, but a different experience than what you might be used to if your used to angeles or burgos.
If you can read some tagalog, you can learn more about the scene at manilatonight.
Also, I've never heard of this area referred to as Quirino, only as Cubao and sometimes Aurora.
That location is also close to the Vista Hotel, pretty nice place to stay in the area. Also, since today is October 1st, it now has been 45 years since the iconic Ali-Frazier boxing match took place, The Thrilla in Manila.

These are "pinoy-only" bars. All closed at present because of COVID-19.
I was taken out for an evening by my local "team" of 4 filipino guys from my office back in around 2006.
The guys warned me in advance that I would be the only foreigner in the bar but I would be OK as long as I stayed with them.
Cost me a fair bit because I ended up paying for the beers and the polutan.
We didn't buy any girls drinks. We decided that would be a more diplomatic strategy so as not to piss off the locals. We just watched the show.
It was an interesting night, but I can't say I enjoyed it.
No way would I go back there alone. I understand that some bars are still operating but currently closed. I haven't been to Gateway area for a long time.

I also oftentimes find that girls outside the main red light foreigner districts have lower expectations in general especially freelancers. They don't know yet how to fleece a foreigner, they haven't hit a whale yet, so even their wildest expectations are well below my budget. That's why I try and branch out to a different area every now and then.
Thats true. A lot of the girls that will work in these filipino bars won't have had much interaction with foreigners. But theres also a much higher probability that their english will not be up to par. Theres a reason they are not working in burgos. That's been my experience at least. From what I've read in the manila tonight forums, the girls working in these bars can get anywhere between 2 k to 5 k per pop depending on the girl. That's on top of paying for the onnsite VIP room that you need to fuck her in. Also from what I've read takeout is much less common in these filipino bars, and sex is more often on site.

Its about a place called Quirino and it states that this place is a 100% gang run area and that knife point hold ups are an every occurrence, I don't know how accurate that is. I have never been to this place nor would I want to go for a visit however there is one piece of information this video shed some light on a "New" area I was previously unaware of a few blocks away from that area. They name this area as a area where freelancers look for potential punters. Has anyone been out this way and is it really a red light district or a work of fiction? They look like they set up shop infront the the McDo that I have a street view of in the link down below. It looks like tis in front of the "Gateway Mall" is this a known freelance haunt? There do seem to be some short time hotels near by one called "Clixs Hotel" that seem to cater to a redlight clientele. I'm always open to new mongering grounds if this is in fact an area where freelancers hang out.

GE.
One can only imagine what the impact of Covid will have on the educational progress of kids. Millions have not attended school since February. We will know in 10 years time.
Even in my RWML, those to the right are genuinely scared that a six month decline in education standards now will have enormous impact on future GDP. Those to the left don't care because they will continue to receive free money.

I assume Dg's quote from a text message was largely paraphrased, but it did contain 16 or 17 unique English words. I'm not inclined to make fun of their English when I've not been motivated enough to learn their language.
Basically her exact words. 99% of the girls I have met can converse in English. They are actually more literate than foreigners. Most of them can read and write in English.
Only one bargirl that has trouble reading texting English but her verbal command is good. But she has quite a tight body, beautiful eyes and fuxks like hell despite having 4 kids and is under 30 years old.
Never had a pinay not understand what and when I wanted it in English. No need for an English major here.

Since covid, I have been bored here in Asia so I have been having jewelry made. The options are 10 K, 14 K, and 18 K. You pay market price for the gold and you are charged a separate price for labor. I am having 2 rings made. I paid market price for 18 K, $30 each for 2 diamonds and she is giving me one free, and $130 labor for each ring. There was a difference of $210 between the 14 K and 18 K.
I also bought a 23 k (96%) gold bar for my father's birthday to have it inscribed and diamonds put in. The bar for half oz (15.24 g) was market price at $906. I paid $10 commission to the store. I had the back smoothed out, 2 diamonds added, and stuff written on it for $60.
So when you take stuff back to sell it in a gold shop, you are given market price minus a commission. You are not offered half of what it is worth as would be the case in a pawn shop.
Mr. E your a cool MFer. Love seeing people buying their parents cool shit.
