Just spent a week in Manila. First 2 nights in Makati because the company I work for picked up the bill.

On the Manila Hotels forum I advised you to go straight to Angeles and bypass Manila the first night. By taking the bus I hope it frees up some extra cash for you.

Never. The western mentality is to make a deal and keep it. To clarify, I did not promise her anything ahead of time. I just assumed service would be 'normal'.
