Yes. Load it with p100, and each txt will consume 1 peso. Each phone call will consume about p6 per minute. Using data (no wifi) will consume also. Smart and Globe are the 2 most common SIM cards, they work about the same way. There are promo deals; for example p50 will get you unlimited data for about 3 days.

I am not familiar with the LG G6 but if it has a SIM card on GSM and is not locked then you are good to go. Everywhere sells them, I usually just grab them at a convenience store like 7 11. Also buy a load card and if not busy ask the attendant to set it up for you. If it is busy slide them, a small note and ask if they can set it up for you if you don't have confidence. If she is pretty ask her to put her number in also.

Almost everywhere sells SIM cards however not everywhere will have the carrier of your choice or the SIM card size that your phone takes.
