I realize your post was focused on a particular taxi scam, but of far more interest to many of us would be the name of the club that you visited every night for a week. That is a very high recommendation.

Well to answer your question: I have gotten to know Mama Lisa when she worked in Hollywood, then another club (forgot that name) and now she works in Dimples. Dimples is rarely mentioned on the forum but for me it is comfortable and low pressure. Unlike the other clubs it is smaller and perhaps more personal. But that is my "opinion" for what it is worth. Since she knows me and knows the type of girl I like her recommendations are well accepted.

To the left of Dimples is another club (once again don't concentrate on the name) where mama Joy works. Also super attentive mama.

I hope to be back very soon to this wonderful "paradise" Enjoy and stay safe!!

On Thursday evening I hailed a taxi by Greenbelt 3 to go to Burgos and Makati street. The taxi driver looked at me and told me:. " . Haven't you heard? All Burgos street clubs are closed due to new mayor taking action and sending police there. ".

Hmmmmm. I thought that was odd.

So I hailed the next cab. Who gave me the same "story" that clubs are closed. Being my last night I again wanted to have some fun.

So hailed the THIRD taxi and once again the SAME story.

Luckily I had the cell number of one of her girls and I asked if the club is closed. NO, was the answer!! All is normal and there is no police action here.

So gentlemen, if you hear this story from a cab driver. Who most probably will want to take you to a club where THEY get a commission. Don't fall for it. I almost did!!

I had I guy in the Bangkok Airport tell me the BTS was closed and I need to take a taxi as I'm watching people go up and down the escalator. Never ever believe a cabby, tuk tuk driver when they same something is closed and try to redirect you.

Well this past week I have been at her club every night. Very satisfied with her selection that I brought back to my hotel for all night of fun.

...Packs of our East Asian friends were out in force, walking into bars and turning around if they saw nothing appealing. I have a hard time doing that and usually buy a drink before I leave. You have to get there early before the packs claim the good ones. I found a cutie that they had looked over in Pit Stop...

I have noticed the same phenomena in AC, during daytime. As soon as a club opens, hordes of them descend on it and pick the best seats, then the best girls. Only 2nd tier are left after they are done picking.

...I think EDSA may be in a death spiral. Fewer lookers (I was told most had moved on to social media) brings in fewer customers, which means less bar fines for the girls, etc. I hope that isn't the case because I prefer to look over a selection of girls while drinking a cold one, over the hit and miss game on social media (ladyboy? Old pic? Never shows up /2 hours of my time wasted waiting for her). I guess I am old fashioned, haha.

That may become reality soon, and it may be better if we are forced to look somewhere else. That's what happened to me in Colombia, and now I much prefer the social networks for hunting. Once hooked onto them, it becomes much easier to sample new blood, and less expensive than picking them at the clubs. I have not seen the club reaction yet to this phenomena, but I have a feeling they are not going to stand and watch their business slowly disappear.

Strange story, I did the same trip with taxi from greenbelt without any issue. Better to use grab may be or by walk also as I did once around 11 pm, not so far and safe streets in this area.

Manila isn't so different from a place like MC. Don't fool yourself. Watch the news and take a look around at the place. There's a reason the women are scared to walk around in dresses or anything revealing, and isn't because they think mother mary is watching.

RR, that's full of non-specific inuendo. Please be specific. First, which place is where the women are scared to walk around in a dress, MC or Manila (or both)? Second, why are they scared? I've been to a number of places in Manila and seen women dressed in all manner of dress in many places.

In most SoGo's there are lots of cubicles in the lobby for couples to wait their turn. I saw all cubicles full at the SoGo opposite Trinoma one Friday evening and I was told the wait would have been more than 1 hour, so I did a U -turn.

I have since asked about the one in Guadalupe and the one near Taft Ave MRT station, and I was told it was always packed on a Friday evening (though I admit I haven't used SoGo for a couple of years).

You can't book that ahead of time. Just walk in and tell reception what you want. I suppose they do run out of rooms sometimes at peak demand times but I don't think that happens very often.

Are the girls concerned about their safety, as they are in Mexico City? Or is it just that they don't want to walk 3 minutes when there is another short time hotel only 2 minutes away?
