Isn't the schwarma place 30 meters away just up Salas street towards Robinson's? Even that's better than LAC food (not sure if its open in the mornings). There are a number of resto's along Adriatico in the area of Robinson's, but I doubt they are open for breakfast.

The schwarma place is about 30 meters from LAC. Not long ago there were maybe two of them across the street from each other on Romero-Salas. Now there's just one, on the south side of the street. But, even if they're open for breakfast, do you really want meat shaved from a sheep's leg for breakfast? As ED points out, there's always the minimart hotdogs. And they have a small selection of other things you can heat up in the microwave. Adriatico restaurants are mostly not open for breakfast, except McDo at the corner of Adriatico and Pedro Gil. Yummy, but more than 100 meters.

I think there's still a little place kitty corner from LAC across Del Pilar--as long as you're satisfied with rice and sinigang soup for breakfast. I checked on another place a block south of LAC on the same side of the street, but walked out abruptly when I saw the food in front of other customers.

BTW, how was the quality of food at LAC for this particular most recent breakfast?

Depends on how much you want to spend. EDSA is a short distance away within walking distance opposite Heritage hotel. Taxi will get you there in 5 minutes. Cost of barfine around 3000 and you need to give 4000 pesos for all night. Besides bar drinks and lady drinks are expensive. Your night will cost upwards of 10000 pesos. Some good looking girls. There are many bars and you can check out all but price is generally the same. Bad Performance and not staying the whole night might happen. Do not be surprised if you are the only patron there.

La cafe is roughly half hour by taxi. It is open 24 hours. You can find all sorts of girls there. Not many lookers. This is a freelance bar but lately if you buy a drink for the girl they will charge more. There is no need to buy. You see the girl you like, motion to her and start negotiations. Some are nice. Do not be surprised if a good looking girl rejects you. It means she is looking for high paying punters.

Finding a GFE is rare in the bars. You might consider joining dateinasia or chat dating sites and start chatting before you come. Better chat cam to cam and discuss to get to know each other. Sex is natural with Philippines girls. Sex is not free. Money is expected but you might find some real nice GFE girls.

You might want to try mall of Asia walking around. Some freelance girls can be had. Do not approach unless they smile and say Hello,.

If you are in a rich mentality you can try Burgos street in Makati. Plenty of good looking girls there. It is high end. A night will cost upwards of 15000 pesos. Roughly an hour by taxi.

Since you are staying near the Mall of Asia, you should first check out the bars in the EDSA Entertainment Complex. It's the Nana Plaza of Manila with some pretty good quality girls. RTFF and Google Manila maps for more information. Go early between 8 pm and 9 pm. If you don't find what you are looking for in the EDSA Go Go's, you will have plenty of time later to take a taxi to LA Cafe which really does not get going until after 11.

There's also the Mini Mart which sells those hotdogs for 30 pesos.

Do you mean SM Mall in Pasay? LA Cafe is in Ermita and at least a half hour taxi ride from SM. You can find tons of info on the forum about what it's like and how much to pay. If you're not a cheap charlie, then you'll find plenty of hot girls in the bars at EDSA and Burgos. If going to a bar isn't your thing, then you can order incall service from one of the escort agencies. Enjoy and report back!

Yes, LA Cafe would be a good place to start. Even the Hunchback of Notre Dame could walk out of there with two girls for a threesome. Most girls will give you a GFE if DFK, BBBJ and cuddling is what you are after. Just don't pay more than 1,500 for ST with one of those MILFs.

The bars in Burgos are all fronts for other activities. This is pretty well known. And to answer your question on the death knell for Burgos, NO SIR, the place is alive and kicking, possibly even thriving.

Yes, one must wonder. There are two bars on Burgos on the Kalayaan end where I spend a lot of time. In one bar there are about 15 relatively young / pretty girls and a LOT of nawty activity. You can sit in a dark corner (there are several), wait for the mama to surround you with half a dozen cuties, pick one (or two), buy her a drink, and in no time she will be the horniest critter on earth, as long as you are buying her a drink every 20-30 minutes. In the other bar, somewhat less nawty, but 20-25-ish ladies (a mix of ages and fugly / pretty). Lots of customers roll in for a drink and are surrounded by girls, massage sir, the girls dance near the customer.

In both bars, the customers eventually leave -- alone, or with their buddies they entered with. Having spent several weeks in the area recently, I didn't see a single barfine in either bar. I also hang in another bar on the Makati end of the street (good massage from one of the massage girls), and didn't see a single barfine. In fact, I did not see a single barfine in any bar (hit the bars all nights but 1). No customer entered and then left with a girl. In the above bars, the one with fuglies, I went in early for happy hour one night for a drink, counted 19 ladies. Another thought. Outside the gogo bars at other businesses, when I pay with a blue note for something small, sometimes the business will have to send someone outside to neighboring businesses to make change from the blue note. I am often asked, when paying with a blue note, if I have anything smaller to pay with. I have NEVER seen that issue in a Burgos gogo bar. They always have plenty of smaller bills for change. I will leave to your imagination as to why that is.

Haha you are correct. However I eat breakfast at LAC about once a week when I stay in Malate (dunno why). Long-time habit. Ate there twice that week. I like the place. Oddly, I've walked out several times over the years when they took 30+ minutes to bring me my omelette (or such) mid-morning when there were almost no customers (and no reason to take 30 minutes to make an omelette -- unless they are dispatching a courrier to the farm for eggs). Yet, I return. And you're right, the food quality is so-so at best. One of my other fav low-brow places in Malate is on Adriatico, about 3 doors north of Manila Bayview Mansion residences in the Korean district. Next to the condo is a Coffee Bean / Tea, and next to that is a pinoy foods place. Cheap blue plastic tables and chairs. A value-menu with half a dozen plated breakfasts: Chicksilog, tapsilog, hotdogsilog, and so on. Each with rice and ice tea, p60 (about as cheap as it gets). Open to the elements with rain blowing in. Loud music and basketball replays on the TV screen. I'm usually the only gringo in the place, and its packed with locals at 5 am onwards who are drinking buckets of beer. This includes the PYT who have just finished their shifts at the Korean bars across the street, who are there buying food / drink for their friends or BF.
