Posts: 53Major Airline with Low Cost Carrier to Final Destination
Another fare strategy is taking a major airline to one of the waypoints and then finding a low cost carrier airport that has flights to your final destination.
You can save some major currency with this flight trip, there is a downside to this with risk that either carrier at the connection airports is delayed causing a missed flight on the other carrier, checked-in baggage transfer / missing / delayed since there is different multiple carriers involved that has no relationship to each other.
There is an upside to this fare strategy, definitely recommend purchasing travel insurance if you chose this journey.
Here is an excellent flight Itinerary planner;

Posts: 1067[QUOTE=Skip Kost; 1337559]For flights originating from Detroit or the west coast to Japan, and from Narita or Nagoya to Manila. 747s or A-330s are fine, but I think only the 777 has sufficient range for the nonstop from Atlanta to Narita. [/QU.
Not that is really matters, but the 747-400 has plenty of range for ATL-NRT. ORD-HKG is a much longer flight and a. 400 is used on it everyday. Of course there might be some factors on a specific day, but I know that the 747 is used out of ATL. Also DL has service from MSP to Asia as well, and they use the A-330 / B-747 / B-777.

What I did was united. Com and check every day by putting flexible dates. Let us say I was leaving in October ad I put October 5 and check 21 days a table comes up showing fares. If it is high I redo it saying 20 days. I check like this every day.
Most important is you need to be ready to go on those dates with cheap prices.
If you put exact dates you will not get these rates. Just to let you know one time I got $550 rate on united. Com orlando-washington dulles- narita- manila. But when I tried to book it did not take instead website gave a phone
Number to call. I called that number but the lady was not helpfull. Last time I made the trip I g.
Ot a very good price and when I called the same way lady was helpfull and booked it. At that time she said because of narita. Manila trip is by ANA there is a problem booking on website.
So this time when I saw low price and all flights were on united I had no problem booking

The logistics of this is feasible. I assume you know Manila's three main areas (for foreigners) : Burgos St & Havana Cafe (Makati) , EDSA Complex (Pasay) , and MBC (Ermita). MBC does not have rooms, however there are many hotsheet hotels in the area, such as Sogo and well as tourist class ones. Google Ermita hotels and cross reference with MBC in google maps to determine distance. No barfine to pay and a short time will run 1500 pesos (negotiable). At EDSA Complex again there are no short-time rooms, but there is the Heritage Hotel (expensive) across the street. One block away is the much cheaper Royal Blue Marlin Hotel at corner of F. B. Harrison and Cuneta. Also in Pasay are "garages" aka "drive-in" motels. I've been to a couple and they are similar to Japan's love hotels with mirrors, etc. I had the girl tell the taxi driver to take us to one and he found one quickly. In Burgos I don't know of any bars w / rooms, but I recall some (Dimples?) have curtained cubicles. You have your largest number of bars in Burgos and free lancers about 10 minutes away at Havana (Greenbelt 3). Moreover, there are many massage places in Burgos. Burgos is your most expensive barfine. There's a great number of hotels in the immediate vicinity, but your best bargain at 1350p is the Clipper Hotel at corner of Burgos and Kalayaan.
If you don't want to pay barfines stay in Ermita; you and your DIA girl at a hotel and use Sogo or the like for MBC pickups. If money is no concern stay in the Burgos or Greenbelt shopping area. Lastly, since these DIA girls are strangers make sure your hotel has a safe. Some are large enough for a 15" laptop if you bring one, but you'll want to email the hotel to confirm. I've had girls steal clothing, so keep that in mind. Minimize the temptations.
Happy hunting.

Posts: 782Newbie (more or less) needs advice
I have managed to set aside four working days to go to Manila. As I arrive on Friday night and leave Tuesday morning, I have at least two full days and 4 nights free.
I have been to Manila once before and remember the fantastic bars in Makati. On that trip, I had lined up a DIA girl from the provinces, who proved to be great looking but mediocre in bed. So, when I got bored, I would put on my running suit and jog to a local massage place where I would get a 10 minute massage and a much longer blow job for 1000 pesos. This was, in my view, a nice way to mix P4P with "non-pro".
I have at least 5 girls from DIA and pinalove who are willing (so they say) to meet me in my hotel and spend the night. I will rotate them into my schedule (I assume 2 of the 5 won't show up). I would like to have the option of leaving the girl from time to time and either get a nice BBBJ or fuck a girl in a bar. But, do any of the bars in Manila have rooms? I have been through the forum and cannot find any.
To the experienced members of the forum: where would you stay if this were a high priority on your list. Makati City? And other area of city? Many thanks!

Posts: 260Sammon, I would be happy paying $825 for just the SFO to MNL legs. I searched all the big sites and United direct and could not find anything near that cheap.
Any advice on how to find the low price?

The reason the ticket was soooo cheap was they are finding a way to fill otherwise empty seats with passengers that are otherwise not so fussy about schedules. Of course it also helps build miles!
The Delta service is 747 or A-330 using Narita as a Asian hub.
