Not trying to be mean. But for a first time Angeles City / PI visit. I would scratch off Subic Bay; unless you want to share War stories with other "Special Forces" guys who are 65+. That's my experience at least. If you are younger stick with Angeles City.

Do we go for the girls or the worldly experiences of our fellow punters?

Most of the bars are open albeit late afternoon / evening / Girls want 3 K+ ST / Did not see anything above 6 maybe 7 out of 10. YMMV.

I will be visiting Angeles at the end of September and was wondering if it's worth it to swing by Subic for a couple of days? This will be my first trip to the Philippines.

Appreciate any advice.

I will be visiting AC early October and have booked 2 days in Subic as well. I have been to both many times, though not since covid. If you're still around and care to meet up pm me.

Curfew has been lifted, a few more bars opening and more girls returning. Things are more expensive now as it is everywhere in the world. Bar fine averaging around 3 K which at todays rate is 57 USD for 2 to 4 hours and if you can find the right one you can keep her all night. The stunners might ask for a little more. Of course you can always haggle but are you going to fly for many hours then argue over 10 or 20 dollars? Up to you, Walking Street in AC is much higher than Barretto. Beers are now 70 pesos to 110 pesos. 1.35 to 2.10 USD. Plenty of hotels except for Filipino holidays. Open bars are as follows.
I think that is all of the Barretto bars. Many bars open on Baloy beach but none with girls Will cover food options soon. Some great restaurants now available in Barretto.

Incidentally, how was the weather. The weather reports indicate pretty much constant rain until around July.

The weather was extremely hot when I was there, but there was very little rain.

Technically, the barfine includes full payment for both the house and the girl.

However, as others have said you can add a tip for good service. I emphasise tip, not payment. I've tipped zero before when it was warranted without consequence. Serveral hundred is normal. A thousand would only be if she stayed all night, most of the next day and was a delight to be with.

P.S. Note that this doesn't apply everywhere. On Burgos, girls expect their full payment in the morning and several other areas work the same.

I only tip 1000 for 3 holer. 500 for good service, meaning 2 rounds at night and one in the morning. 200 that's basically taxi money if no round in the morning and nothing if she leaves early, no BJ or only did one round at night.

I spent 3 days in Subic last week after a two year absence. I think I've started to prefer it to Angeles. It's shabby yes, but somehow more laid back and somewhat less sleazy than Angeles and the vibe is totally different. I had a decent beach view room a Arizona Hotel which had decent food, good service and a totally friendly atmosphere. I cannot remember the names of most of the bars I sauntered into and out of, but it was strictly business as usual with barfines ranging from Php2,500 to Php3,500 all in and the selection was substantial when considered in the aggregate. Unfortunately, flights from Davao to Clark have not yet resumed with PAL, so I had to fly into Manila, and then used my favorite driver to meet me at the airport for the drive up to Subic, which took about 3 hours. The attitude of the girls in the bars I visit was excellent. No one was wearing masks in any of the bars, nor were masks worn in the hotel, which after two years was a welcome relief. There were no hassles with the flights, during which everyone was masked as they were in the airports aside from in the restaurants.

I'm thinking my Angeles days may be done and, when I do go up to Pampanga it will be to Subic and that surrounding area from now on.

Will create one soon, I don't eat out a lot so can only comment on first hand experience and references from friends. Will do the single monger eat places plus the take a date places from the best of my knowledge.

Bar Fine is all you have to pay but if a girl takes care of you and you don't give her anything that sucks. Now if she comes and quickly gets aggressive to get you off then leave fuck her. She got her bar cut and only wants to get back to bar fine again. The Barretto girls aren't as pretty as the AC girls but they are much more laid back. You have to decide what works for you. Subic girls average better service but less on the looks.
