Thought I would try and be helpful to any that are considering a visit to Subic. For me I liked Subic for the cheaper BFs and the seaside nature of the town. Well the seaside nature is still intact but the cheaper BFs are a thing of the past. The Subic bar fine system now is that there are no bar fines. The bar is not in the equation any longer. The dancers are all independent contractors and their prices vary from lady to lady. From the Wet Spot I was told by a bar girl off the premises that the cost is 3000 p. The next night from the same bar a different dancer said 2,500 p was her price. I have heard during my time there last week that 5,000 p is also asked for. Of course you can negotiate but the inmates are running the asylum there. That's how it is now.

A smart monger might go in late around midnight and shoot for a reasonable price when the dancers are tired of dancing or boozed up. Hope this helps.

YMMV but tips are normally appreciated by the girls regardless of their country. Sometimes I overpay, too, in DR or PI or BKK or wherever I am. For example, in Santo Domingo I give my main squeeze 4000 P, twice the normal rate, but she is drop dead gorgeous 27 years old 42 DDD-26-36 and treats me like a porn king! Like a lot of guys I have a roster of regulars that I see in each city / country. Of course the girls also appreciate non-monetary gifts and romantic gestures. In the DR, it was a totally inverse relationship, something I also encountered in Thailand. The best services were rendered by girls at the lower end.

Its not that I mind paying at the upper end of the price range for services that are already dirt cheap by Western standards. I couldn't be happier if someone told me, "Just pay twice the price of virtually nothing and you will get an experience that is twice as good". Please chime in if you have an opinion on this.

I couldn't be happier if someone told me, "Just pay twice the price of virtually nothing and you will get an experience that is twice as good". But, it doesn't work that way. I am getting the impression that providers quoting prices on the upper end in the places I have visited are trying to gouge or take advantage of the monger. Whereas those on the bottom end of the price scale are usually happier with what you pay them, if you throw in a tip for their good service. I wouldn't be surprised if the guys with a lot of experience in the PI will echo my sentiments. Or no? Please chime in if you have an opinion on this.

I had a 3 day visit to Baloy Beach a couple of weeks ago. I planned to meet my GF from a couple of past visits second day, so decided to stay in Treasure Island for the first night and then transfer to Wild Orchid Resort. Treasure Island is a great place, really nice outside bar leading down to the beach and floating bar with some nice girls, but the room I had was not great, clean enough but very basic. I was also a bit concerned to be at the end of the upstairs corridor with no possible exit in case of fire, even the window was too small to escape from! Didn't find anyone to take my fancy so slept alone. Second day moved to the Wild Orchid Resort. This could be a great hotel, but is showing age and neglect in some areas. The pool and bar area and lobby is great, also the beach bar and barbecue really nice, room was ok, much better than TI, but the children's play area / pools and crazy golf were both closed and overgrown. I think the big problem is not many customers, I was there in February and saw very few people around. My GF arrived late afternoon announcing that she had period pain, so we had some food and I sent her home later. I checked out wechat to see if anyone was around to satisfy my need, and found one, unfortunately she also had her mens so offered BJ only. Then she decided that she could bring her friend along too, who didn't have the flag flying, so I said OK just send your friend. Said they were in Olongapo and would come in taxi together, so I agreed to pay that, but just taking girl 2 inside. They turned up about 5 minutes later, so must have been in Barrio strip I reckon, anyway girl 1 was a bit of a minger, but 2 was lovely, so a lucky break there! We'd agreed on 2000 all night and I was happy with my choice. Up in the room she was great, pretty, petite, about 22, just how I like my bedmates, and we had a great time. Then after the deed, she decided she needed to go home, as she had a kid to look after. Actually she seemed quite embarassed to say that abd break the deal, so we settled on 1500 and she left, I'd say we were both happy. Next night (last in Subic) I decided to go for a wander along the strip. Someone here mentioned that the Balloy hotels are a little way from the strip, but its always easy to take a trike to the far end, Arizona resort for example, then walk back and check out a few bars, starting at the Arizona! I did this, but again did not find the one who was going to make my night, so I slept alone again. I was going back to AC with some promises and re-visits, so I was happy to save myself. I just found the whole "Subic" scene to be very quiet in terms of tourists. In the morning at 11 I took the Southern Cross bus back to AC. I have always used Swaggy Bus in the past, including travelling to Subic this time, I think the Southern Cross is a bit more comfortable especially if its full, as it is a proper coach not minibus with cramped seating. The cost is the same at 500, and SC leaves at 11 instead of 12. Will drop you at or very near your hotel too.

I think these are reasonable questions and framed thoughtfully. But, a suggestion: why not pay $20 for an ISG membership and then send a Private Message to ConquerorVal, Freezone, and D Cups? They could probably give you fairly up-to-date impressions.

Is it fair to bombard a few seasoned members with questions? There are a lot of people who have experience in this area to be sure. Can't everybody have a chance to contribute?

I've gotten private messages with questions in response to my trip reports. But I don't live on ISG, so it was some weeks before I got around to answering them.

In Australian, Canadian, Liberian, New Zealand or US Dollars? Why not Euros? Philippine pesos are the best denomination to convert to local currency without any confusion. "Currency" is a great free app to convert local currency. Or if you are using a browser, go to https://www.oanda.com/currency/travel-exchange-rates.4

December 29: (Day 5: Thursday).

It took a good 3 hours for us to reach Subic Bay. This was my first visit hence I had booked Wild Orchid basis of recommendation from FM members. I found it to be quite a walk from the main strip. Maybe next time I would like to stay at a hotel on the main strip.

I walked the entire strip to get a good idea of where all joints are in Bario Baretto. Took an hour minutes to cover the entire strip both sides at a leisurely pace. Weather was very pleasant.

During the walk I had heard some music coming from a bar called Cheap Charlies and I had decided to check it later. I walked up the two floors and was greeted by some ladies. The owner a Scottish gentleman was also present playing DJ. Good chap. I had a few beers here, bought some for the girls who were free. Surprisingly the beers here were the cheapest I have ever had in Philippines, 25 peso for a SML. The LDs were 100 peso but again cheap comparatively. Nothing to fancy me in terms of bar fine. Hence didn't bother asking. However one of the girl sitting with me told me that all girls there were waitresses and would go only if they liked the guy. I didn't care as I found no one to my liking.

I started bar hopping around 9 pm. First was the Dryden group, nothing much there. Spend time sipping a beer in the bar on the right which had most of the girls but nothing to my fancy. Then tried few bars on the main strip, enter, watch and exit. It seemed as if the girls had gone to their provinces. Ended up in Vodoo during the multiple up and down walks. Liked a girl there and decided to BF her. The BF was 2000 peso. We took a trike to hotel, 40 peso. "F" was a single mom, slightly thick around the middle. She had a good attitude and it did click for me. Showered separately and got down to business. It was a decent one. Basic BBBJ, two positions and some light kissing. We finished and ordered for some food. TV for her and sleep for me. I was woken up by F at around 8 am. She wanted to leave. Hell I had forgotten asking her what time she would leave. She tried to get me into mood for a pop and did succeed. I managed to get my morning wood serviced albeit at a faster pace than I would have liked. She went away with a 100 peso tip. I went to sleep for a few more hours .

Overall experience: 6. 5/10.

December 30: (Day 6: Friday).

Having missed breakfast at Hotel I walked towards "Sit and Bull". The walk made me hungrier. It is indeed a good place with a lot of choices. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to get some good and hearty meal. Portions are quite generous as well.

While walking back got called by girls into a bar called Cowboy if I remember well. Liked one cebuana gal there, didn't matter hence did not verify. 2000 BF and 2 drinks later "G" and I we were walking towards the hotel. Having stuffed myself I wasn't getting into the act. So we lazed and fooled around for some time. After an hour I was ready. We did manage a decent session albeit with a poor BJ. Once done G was ready to get back to her bar being early evening. I tipped her 100 peso and let her go.

Overall experience: 7/10.

Started my evening again with few beers at Cheap Charlies. Bar hopping again across the highway trying to cover bars on one side then switching over to the other side. Eventually ended up in winging pussy. Had a good time there. Surprisingly this was one of the expensive bars in Bario Baretto. LDs were 300 peso each and BF was 3000 peso. I had a rollicking time with two girls, did end up spending some dough being my last night in Subic bay. I BF one of the girls. "H" was an amazing girl. We had a wild night drinking and having fun in the room. Two pops and she left in the morning around 10 am with 200 peso tip. She had to go with her friend to shop for their New Year party later in the evening. I was equally excited as I was going to AC. This was going to be my 3rd New Year in AC.

Overall experience: 8/10.

Some personal thoughts about Bario Baretto:

It is an extremely laid back place, I would compare it with Perimeter road in terms of infrastructure and bars.

Prices are already as good as AC, Perimeter and Fields both. Girls, alcohol and food.

I am not a beach buff hence nothing for me to do in the day time. Other might like lounging on the beach.

It's a small place hence maybe the town knows where all you have been. H jokingly asked me why wasn't I with the girl from earlier night and was everything alright.

I did not have any girl refuse me barfine. Issue was with the choices available. Maybe I was there during a not so good time of the year.

I don't see any reason to return in the near future as what I want is easily available in AC in terms of choices and prices.

I have been to Subic before. What is a downer is that all the activity is during the evenings / night. Action winds up around 1 am. But I like to find one woman for the day and another different one for the night. Where can I find women for the day? Not dating sites, etc. Paid ones.
