Posts: 530Continue of the bars I went to. The Hot zone. I went here after I found out the wet spot was closed. About 6 girls there on stage ranging from average to above average. Stayed for about half an hour and left. Then went next door to Myleens café to have dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Lux. This is a nice set up bar with stage. My timing was bad as there were only 4 girls on stage that were average looking. There were about seven other customers but none had a girl with them. When the waitress brought my water I asked her if any other ladies would be coming in? She said no and told me 3 girls were barfined already. I then asked her how much was the barfine here. She said you have to negotiate the barfine with the girl. Interesting, I thought all bars had a standard pricing.
Adam's sport bar. This bar is located directly above Lux. First night I went there were about 10 girls but the hottest ones were with one customer. In fact, he had like 5 or 6 girls at his table two of which I would gladly barfine. He bought drinks and food for the girls. I like his style. Since the other girls were not to my liking, I left and came back the next day. Hoping at least one of the two girls I saw would be there, just my luck they weren't. So I did buy a drink for I guess my third choice. Anyways we were talking and somehow we got on the subject of strip clubs. She then lit up and said she knows a place not to far from the bar. I didn't think the Philippines had strip clubs so I asked her, a strip club where the dancers are fully nude? She said yes. I then asked her, if I barfine you can we go to this club. She said absolutely. The barfine was P $3500. I was more excited about going to this stripclub than the actual barfine.
Salomeh. This is the name of the strip club. As we were going there I asked how much is admission. She said nothing but had to buy drinks. This is somewhat correct. No direct admission fee but your first drinks cost more than usual. I believe for our first two drinks it came out to P $400 something. She had a beer for a second drink and that cost P $120. There were about seven customers when we got there with six girls on stage. They were clothed and doing the dance shuffle routine. Now this is not an American style strip club where the dancer perform a routine then will get all into your face. At least when I was there, there were no spread the legs to check what was between them. After their initial dance together, they went back stage. Then one would come out for a song and dance fully nude. So nothing hard core but I still loved it. At least you get to see what you get before hand. There were at least two that I would barfine. Two were average and two were on the bigger side if you like that. The hottest girl was slim pretty face, some baby damage but perky tits. Actually all the dancers had some kind of baby damage. If I didn't have the bargirl with me I would have barfined that one hot girl. I did ask my bar girl to ask the waiter how much the bar fine was. She told me she was pretty sure it was P $5000. The way that one girl looked, it seemed reasonable. Not sure how the service would be. We stayed for about an hour, no other girls showed up then went back to my hotel. If I come back to Subic this place will probably be my first stop.
To give you an idea of where this place is. It is just past the Jollybee's on the main highway. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Outback hotel and about 3 minutes by trike.

Posts: 530Since there is no hotel section for Subic, I'll put it here. I stayed at the Outback hotel. Best feature is the location and girl friendly. When I arrived to check in they said they couldn't find my reservation. I showed them my copy of the reservation and they found the reservation but said because of a mis-communication with expedia they didn't hold my reservation. They said my standard room was no longer available so if I wanted to upgrade to a larger room for an additional cost. I asked why do I have to pay for something that wasn't my doing. They blamed it on expedia. I was thinking of going to another hotel but if these guys weren't willing to at least give me a discount on an upgrade, what chance would I have of getting my money back on a non refundable room? I didn't want to fight them so I took the upgrade at an additional cost of $150.00 usd. The original cost was for $120.00 usd. After paying the fee then the female manager says now I'll go over some rules of the hotel. Great! First rule, no outside food is allowed. Second, no outside drinks except water was allowed. Third, must leave the key with staff when you leave the property. They want to make sure you spend money at their hotel.
My room was on the second floor and no elevator so keep that in mind if you need that kind of assistance. If you want your room cleaned you need to tell staff. I learn this on the third day since the room was never cleaned until I told them to. They don't really clean the room. Just made up the bed and replaced the towels. I doubt I will return to this hotel even though the location and price is good when they actually honor the price.
Here are the bars I went to in no special order. The secret bar. As I walk in there is a customer getting grinded by a bar girl at his table. My kind of place. I grab a seat and order a water. There were about 4 other girls in the place and were average in looks. The waitress came back and said they don't have water but they had soft drinks instead. Since the other girls were just average, I used that as an excuse to leave and told her I would come back when they had water. I never got back to this place.
The wet spot. Entered and grabbed a seat facing the stage. There were about 6 girls on stage with one being pretty cute. We exchanged smiles but before I called her down, I noticed some guys and girls going through a door. I asked the waitress where does that door lead to? She said the next door bar but only pool tables no stage. So I get up to walk through just to see if there any other girls there. Just like the waitress said pool table and people just sitting around. No lookers so went back to call the cute girl down. As I walk back, I see the girl walking from the stage to a customer. My indecision cost me. The only thing I could think of, I'll come back tomorrow and bar fine her then. Well that didn't happen either because when I went back on a Monday, the place was closed.

Posts: 86The US Navy is returning to Subic Bay
I have been reading about this for some time now. I imagine things have changed a lot over the years.
I would like to know if there is any excitement by the local population and if there are any plans to revive "the old days".

Few posters mentioned they would be visiting Subic over the summer and recent reports. Thinking of spending a few days here in conjunction with AC. Umderstamd much more sleepy than AC which O don't mind but wondering if there is any decent quality, like 6 or 7, what prices are like and genral vibe of bars?
Cheers.

Posts: 812Many of the Barretto / Baloy establishments now use AsianVision Fiberoptic for internet. It is consistent and very seldom does it go out.

The Pub hotel had consistent 150 mbs internet speeds, plenty for Zoom calls in the US. After four days I had no experience with outages. But I always keep my phone nearby to use as a hotspot in case th ehotel internet fails.

I absolutely love Subic, my best Philippines experiences were there. In 2014 it was cheaper by far than Angeles. Don't know about now, you see -+ I never went back because of the internet quality issues. Hotels also seemed to not take it serious and write stupid stuff like you should be present and enjoy not sit online. Yeah maybe if you are a factory worker or janitor? Most of us don't have jobs that are chill with people going totally AWOL in 2022

Posts: 812Want to know what is nice about Subic? No huge influx of Koreans, every bar is owned by someone (non Korean) who cares about their customers and none of them will ever rip you off. Angeles City is good for about a week of partying and hangovers then it has absolutely nothing to offer except bad roads, bad drivers, and horrible traffic. To each his own but it's hard to find much good to say about AC other than the nightlife.
