I had a decent beach view room a Arizona Hotel which had decent food, good service and a totally friendly atmosphere. I cannot remember the names of most of the bars I sauntered into and out of, but it was strictly business as usual with barfines ranging from Php2,500 to Php3,500 all in and the selection was substantial when considered in the aggregate. Unfortunately, flights from Davao to Clark have not yet resumed with PAL, so I had to fly into Manila, and then used my favorite driver to meet me at the airport for the drive up to Subic, which took about 3 hours. The attitude of the girls in the bars I visit was excellent. No one was wearing masks in any of the bars, nor were masks worn in the hotel, which after two years was a welcome relief. There were no hassles with the flights, during which everyone was masked as they were in the airports aside from in the restaurants..
Question, does the bar fine include the girl's fee, or do you pay the fine for the club only and then you have to pay additional money to the girl?

I'm thinking my Angeles days may be done and, when I do go up to Pampanga it will be to Subic and that surrounding area from now on.

Of course you can always haggle but are you going to fly for many hours then argue over 10 or 20 dollars? Up to you, Walking Street in AC is much higher than Barretto. Beers are now 70 pesos to 110 pesos. 1.35 to 2.10 USD. Plenty of hotels except for Filipino holidays. Open bars are as follows.

Red Baron Pub in the Arizona resort. - 10-20 girls available, some hardcore ones and some lookers, onsite short time rooms or you can take her out.

The Hideaway - (Former Dive inn). A few girls, no bar fine here but they close early so you can stop in and if you see one you like you can arrange for her to meet you later.

Dynamite Dicks - A neat little expat hangout. Owner is there until 3 each day and will always buy your 2nd drink. Waitresses only, like The Hideaway they close early. Only a couple that would be worth meeting later. Different girls work different days.

MacArthurs - (Formerly Generals Command Post) - Tiny bar that closes early, worth a stop to see.

Blue Butterfly - (Old Toucan Bar) lots of girls there, changing every day. Take out available, some lookers.

Johnnys Resto bar - Not sure of the deal here, I have seen some pretty girls in front of there. They also have the occasional Bakla so if you aren't sure use the Crocodile Dundee method. Probably could do anything in there and nobody would care.

Coco Lips - Being remodeled, not sure when it will be open but soon.

The Curve - New bar with some girls, no bar fine available so you will have to work out when and where with the girl, probably on day off or after they close.

Chill -. Tiny new bar, take out available. Girls changing constantly so not sure of quality.

Cheap Charlies - Upstairs open air bar, some pretty girls. No direct bar fine, you must arrange with the girl.

The Annex - Local hangout for expats. The only bar that allows smoking inside. Not sure how as smoking is banned in all bars except open air bars, but somehow they do it. Some pretty bartenders but I think all have expat live in boyfriends or husbands.

Thumbstar - Constantly changing the lineup but one of the most popular bars in Barretto. All girls can be bar fined. Also has hotel so could be a one stop shop. Centrally located.

Luxe - The newest bar, haven't been inside yet. Not sure if girls can be taken out.

Adams Sports bar - Same as above but I think some type of arrangement can be made.

Gum leaves - Currently closed but supposedly opening soon as a live music venue.

Outback - Nice bar, pretty girls not sure of bar fine protocol.

Johns Steakhouse and Sushi bar - John was the owner of the Pub but the place was sold so he moved to a new location across the road from Shambolis Pizza. 2nd and 3rd floor, restaurant and sports bar. Great food, also good availability of imported meats, cheeses, and other food available as a grocery store. 3rd floor is billiards. Cute girls but no direct take out available.

IDM or It Don't Matter - (Formerly T rose) A locals hangout, good place for conversation with expats, also great food. Girls are waitresses only. Day off syndrome here also.

Voodoo - (old Crazy Horse building) girls there, take out available. Have not been inside so I don't know but have seen some pretty ones standing outside trying to persuade customers to go inside.

Bottoms Up - New location right beside Voodoo. Same as Voodoo, have not been inside.

The Hot Zone - My vote for the cleanest most well run bar in Barretto. Always adding new girls, owner always there, he keeps everything in order. Most girls are available for take out. 2,500 short time (2 hours) or 3,500 all night.

Barcelona - On top of Dryden complex. Entrance by where the Man Cave used to be. 3 long flights of stairs. Great view from the top but somewhat of a struggle after several drinks to go down all of those stairs. I think any girl you are interested in here you would have to work it out for later. I avoid, too many stairs but it is a nice bar.

The Green Room - (Former Rum Jungle) now a sports bar, many girls available. They have the drink passport which every time you buy a beer or drink for yourself you get a credit. After 10 your next is free and once filled you have a full night of drinking for half price. Cards never expire and can be used at any time. Best to fill it up then go back a different night and drink for half price. Lady drinks and drinks for other people cannot be applied. Some smoking hot girls there, bar fine is whatever you work out with her. No direct system.

Wet Spot - Next door to Green Room, many girls available. Same system as Green Room. Both are closed on Mondays.

The old Lolipop is now the Sit and Bull restaurant.

Alaska - Owner is finally back, new girls, pool tournaments, most can be taken out.

Rosies - Open with girls available for take out. Have not been there for a long time so no idea what is inside. Was a neat little bar on my last visit in 2020. It survived the pandemic so they must be doing something right.

The Old Winking Pussycat is now the Wild Herbs Thai restaurant.

Alley cat - is still open as a small sports bar. At least I think so.

Queen Victoria - Open as a sport bar, live music venue. Some pretty girls most are available for take out.

I think that is all of the Barretto bars. Many bars open on Baloy beach but none with girls Will cover food options soon. Some great restaurants now available in Barretto.
OK guys I did a little scouting tonight and can add these amendments.

Arizona Red Baron Pub. Only 5 girls at 8:30 PM, very aggressive, buy me a drink. I did like one and wanted to talk to her but a second girl I did not like would not give us space. Unless you are staying there write it off.

Blue Butterfly. Some pretty girls but way too much in your face "buy me a drink, buy me a drink" will never go there again but they do have some pretty girls.

The Chill. Some pretty girls, bar is about the size of a bedroom that could accommodate a King sized bed. Some lookers, 3 K bar fine. I was the only person in there.

Adams Sports Bar. Some pretty, sexy girls there but evidently buy me a drink and maybe later.

Luxe. OUT OF THE PARK BEST BAR HERE. Met some girls I had seen before, smoking hot ladies, dancers onstage, I did not see an ugly, nor overweight girl. Very friendly, place looks like is was designed as a palace in Aspen, Colorado. Only problem is it is down some somewhat steep stairs. Had 2 SMLs and bought a ladiy's drink, bill was 290 pesos. Under 6 dollars. My new hangout, 27 thumbs up. All girls can be bar fined for 3,000 pesos. I will make a trip to meet the owner but this is the new gem of Barretto.

    Subic/Barretto Update

Curfew has been lifted, a few more bars opening and more girls returning. Things are more expensive now as it is everywhere in the world. I have always wanted to see the famous, or infamous, Subic Bay ever since I used hear older military guys talk about it when I was a little kid and teenager, and after seeing my much older cousin bring home his "first" Filipina wife after having been stationed at Subic while he was in the Navy. At that time I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever laid eyes on and told myself that I have got to go to the place where he found her. I have since learned a whole lot more about Subic via online research and talking with people that have been but it's my turn now. Actually, I would say Subic is my main priority on this trip. I am not leaving the Philippines until I have seen that place. Anyone have tips on how much time I should dedicate? I am thinking at least 2 - 3 nights but I don't know if that is too much or too little. I plan on soaking in Angeles City during the remaining time. Thanks in advance.
Subic and the region Barrio Baretto (where all the nightlife happens and girlybars are located) is much smaller than Angeles City. More like a village compared to a city. There are only like 15 GirlBars, and now after Corona not all are reopen probably. The Bar girls come from everywhere of the country, but also some local girls. Besides, there is no disco (Olongapo City has one) and some massage places. 3 nights is enough to see most. But all depends on your preferences and where you like it more. Or you find a nice Filipina women there for longtime fun, who knows? I would spend more time in Angeles, but if you are flexible you can change between them (only 1 hour drive apart).

Base don your lifelong fantasy I think travel directly NAIA to Subic and spend your time there until you realize it is just another place. While Olongopo boasts the most beautiful girls in the world according to their old signage, any girl is what you make of it.

The checkpoint leaving Barretto towards Subic town has finally ended, the structure is still there but unmanned and no longer stopping traffic. Also the miserable road construction they were doing around Argonaut highway on SBMA appears to be complete.

The worries are small, and as I see it, thus:

A checkpoint is manned. You don't have the applicable TCP or health document needed. You get a small citation (a fine), and they turn you back. Being turned back is the biggest difficulty, as you might then have to apply for the TCP and wait 48 hours to travel. I'm with Beavis, as there is small chance the checkpoint will be manned, and even when mine was manned, I was ignored. Hey, reminders of my ex-wife. Oh, that was bad. . .

I come to this section of the forum and I'm reading about restricted travel and movement, s-passes and chest x-rays. Damn this doesn't sound like open to me. Yes maybe I pulled the trigger too quickly. I checked Subic and it says restricted, so how would I get to Subic bay from the airport if it's restricted and I need a local number to get a pass.

If I had of know about this nonsense I would not have booked and I may even cancel because it sounds ridiculous. Please provide some initial guidance.

Read the post, follow the link. It will explain the app and process to get your TCP travel pass to Olongopo, po. Must be done 48 hours in advance of your travel to Olongopo. Gents already in AC, can he just bus to San Fernando or AC, then bus directly to Olongopo without hassle? Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks I did read your report and I followed the links but it seems like I'm going down some never ending rabbit holes. The s-pass website says Subic is restricted but nothing comes back for Olongopo. For restricted I maybe need a TCP? But my issue is getting there and what I need to get a TCP in advance.

Some websites say this is easy and some make it sound complicated like requiring health certs, applications need to be approved and each location has its own requirements. Some might even require a negative covid test.

I was about to pull the trigger on accommodation which is why I'm asking if there is anyone on the ground that can sum this up in terms of landing in Manilla and traveling on to Subic which is restricted, thanks again.

I believe I posted about this exact thing just 2 days ago (and 3 reports back), 03-06-22, in my reply to Locamotive.
