Posts: 4567The water is cleaner than Pattaya Beach. There are bars. I think you can buy really good monkey on a stick from the street vendors.

Most will get pimped out several times a day by taxi guys- family. 'not like us tourist buggers that have eaten that nasty shizont and don't.

The Treasure Island is owned by Dave Fisher
Read in the Angeles City thread of the scams he and Trance from another local chat site have been pulling. He owns several Bars and Hotels in Subic now like TI and the Voodo. Things called Mo's etc.
People have been arrested or taken to the police station right out of his bars. Wether or not he is responsible is not known. But it has been reported by othre bar owners in a recetn meeting he stated "He was in touch with high ranking officcials and trying tp pay them to not license any other bars"
The point is right after he came on the scen in AC his neighboring bars were often raided and owners arrested. He has been buddies with a local chat site operator TRANCE. That has also been known to ban people for sayiong anyting about his scams etc- they are truly the scum of the earth and you should not frequent their establishments for your own good and safety.

If you are staying on Baloy Beach the Blue Rock Hotel and Treasure Island Resort both have great food and it is a 15 min walk to the bars in Barrio Barretto from Blue Rock.

Posts: 195X-mas party in Barrio Barretto?
It is now around noontime in Subic Bay on 24th so this is a long shot inquiry in this quiet thread. Are there any X-mas party advertized in Barrio Barretto area with Santa's little helpers around on 24th? Is there North European or American style X-mas dinner served anywhere?

Ideally I would like to find a bungalow on the beach that is kinda quiet and laid back without screaming kids. within walking distance or short cab ride of pussy and eats.

I got a message a few days ago that the GETAWAY HOTEL on Baloy beach had a fire? This is the place at the end of the beach road past lagoon. Was it a small fire or is the place shut down? I also heard "BILL the owner is in the process of getting things up and running as we speak"
This is a good all around hotel to stay at, The price is right, clean, food is OK and lots of locals for the cheep bar prices. Call ahead they book up fast only 9 or ten rooms SEASIDE!
And yes you can bring in your pick of the hour, day, night whatever.

Hard to say if prices will fall but they certainly will not go up anytime soon!Last edited by Admin; 12-21-08 at 21:09.
