That sounds exactly like what I want to try an replicate thanks for the feedback. The CRK-CEB-SUG connection is like a 7 hour layover in CEB I did seriously consider that as an option but I don't really want to go back to cebu if at all possible.

Hi MM did some recent research on S Isl as thought it might be good for [CodeWord118] (no not those kinds but surfing, diving, snorkeling).

Basically found out there are mainly locals available and a small community. As you said lots of hippie surfer dudes. Hardly seems a monger spot. Not worth the visit.

Crossed it off the list.

I have travelled a few times to Siargao and Surigao. Including flying direct CRK-IAO.

Surigao was fun for me and I got plenty of fun just using WeChat and local resources when I was in town. I think hotels were P1500 walkup.

Siargao was also fun, First time I BYO a special girl from AC. Next time I took a girl from Surigao. Third time a different AC girl. I think there are girls to be had on Siargao in the area around the famous surf area.

I stayed recently at a resort (non-internet booking, walk-in) for USD30 per night, room only with kitchen.

You need to be serious to yourself. If you want the Surigao action just fly direct to there (via Cebu). The SUR airport is 10 minutes from town and you are in the action. No missed ferries, no stress.

Use a combination of PAL & Cebu Pacific to reduce transit time in CEB. Hand carry luggage only to avoid delays.

I have not gone overland to Butuan. I would still prefer a flight connection via Ceb over 3 hours in a van.

You might be doing this backwards. Neither Butuan or Siargao are mongering destinations. The better (and considerably easier) bet for you is to bring each girl to you in Manila or Cebu.

I have been mulling over a more off the beaten path city to frequent for more than a few reasons.

Add me to the list of people considering a circuit around Mindanao. I've been to DVO a couple of times and would recommend it to anyone who is happy to get off the regular tourist runs. The girls there are great. The only issues I had was that they can take some time to develop and pre work before actually being in town proved futile for me but YMMV. I found allowing a few extra days in town and making contact when physically there was very beneficial.

Traveling to CDO over land was something I was considering I was not sure about how safe it was to venture out into those provinces in the deep interior in between the two cites that is something I thought might not be very safe to do being a foreigner. You saying that is it "safe" certainly opens up some options. I think right now Davao and CDO are definitely on my list since they have direct flights from Clark. I actually like to fly out of Clark it is much less of a hassle than it is flying out of NAIA. What I may end up doing is flying to both locations from Clark CRK-CGY is about $125 and CRK-DVO is about $150 round trip. I was just going to use Angeles as kind of a reliable well known home base and not so much for mongering. The fact that they both have bars and KTVs to fall back on is good to hear. Thanks for the input it certainly does help to narrow it down.

Cagayan de Oro. Lots of willing participants in this city which I don't know a whole lot about. Easy access to and from clark.

Davao. The girls seem to be willing but more conservative than most citys in phils. I've been watching some youtube videos about this place easy access from clark but the girls seem less open than normal.

Like I said above I do have 10-20 women in each area as a backup plan if pulling off the street is not an option. Just thought I would field any insight anyone was willing to share on this topic.

Any constructive conversation and criticism welcome as I will be choosing some or all of these locations sometime in the future to pick up girls in.

I suggest that you focus on CDO and / or Davao for a couple of reasons. First, because there's a more reasonable amount of interesting stuff to do in each city that you might not find in the others you mention. CDO and Davao both have fairly vibrant restaurant scenes, things to do and see during the day and enough of a big city "feel" to remain reasonably interesting.

I've lived in Davao for approximately 17 years, and despite its somewhat "conservative" reputation, it's pretty easy hunting, either for the P4 P or semi-pro variety of women. CDO, which I know less well but where I've been many times, is pretty much the same though on a smaller scale. Both places have the usual point and click-type bars and, in the case of Davao, numerous KTVs where you can play inside or take the girls out at your option. Both have ample malls, coffee shops, and other meeting venues where it's possible to meet non-bar women. You might want to consider traveling by road from Davao to CDO or vice versa, simply because it's a beautiful and interesting 5-6 hour drive through some varied scenery. The road is steadily being improved, and if you don't have a car of your own, bus and van transport is easy to arrange and quite safe.

That's just my take, but then again I'm a confirmed city boy and too much time in rural areas makes me want to run screaming for the nearest traffic jam as quickly as possible.

I have been all over the Philippines in my work role from the far north to the deep south.

The major tip I would give you is to keep activities very discreet, as filipinos in general love gossip (tsismis) and so (many or most) girls will be very wary about being seen in public with you. If you do arrange meet-ups you will probably have to plan ways to sneakily meet them without locals seeing you.

The best way is to bus them to another near-by city where they will be more relaxed.
