Posts: 213The SEAir flight leaves MWF mornings about 9am from Cebu to Mambajao Airport on Camiguin. You can take the 6am PAL or Cebu Pacific flight from MNL then connect in Cebu but better to overnight in Cebu IMHO as that lets you get to the airport at a more civilized 8am. Days Hotel is 2 minutes from airport and $50 on asiatravel.com, or if you got bucks stay at the 5star Waterfront hotel next door to the airport.
X: Only know Maasin and South, not Ormoc or Baybay.

Posts: 4567SEAIR has a web site with schedule. I think you have to go to Cebu for the flight.
If you have a long holiday, I suggest going to CDO first. It's a nice little city.
X I've never been to Camiguin,

Thanks Taster for some good info on Camiguin. Still not sure I'll make it, especially since work obligations now mean my vacation is shorter.
I do hope to go to Leyte though. Never been there, so does anyone have any info that hasn't already been given. My plan is Superferry to Ormoc and stay at the San Felipe Hotel, which i understand is at the downtown waterfront. I have some chat friends in Maasin, baybay, and Tacloban, but not sure if its worthwhile or necessary to leave Ormoc.

The Manila massage parlors are not even in the same league with the ones in Thailand. In Thailand it is an art form.

You will have difficulty finding other places like it in Manila. Usually, in places setup to give you extra service the massage is bad or non-existent, and in places where you get a good massage you can't be sure you'll get extra service. Ginza is one of the few exceptions to that rule and the best among them.

I hope you'll have fun with that - in return I would appreciate some tips on similar Japanese-Korean places in Bangkok or Pattaya. Thanks.

Hornygeorge,
I flew from Guangzhou direct to Laoag. They have an international airport but it only has one gate. I am not sure about inbound or outbound airtraffic into that airport but I could see that planes were landing there several times a day as the hotel is in the flight path. Friday and Sunday flights only from Guangzhou is what I have been told.
Hope this helps.

ISG members have reported that Borocay is a tourist trap long ago. Just in case you didn't believe us:

Posts: 213As Much as I Prefer the PI over Thailand, for Massage You Cannot Compare Them
While there has been a proliferation of massage places in the PI, including ones claiming to offer what Po, IMHO you are going to the wrong place for what you seek. Even Manila will likely disappoint you.
You are way better off sticking to Thailand. You might find a good one in PI but much more hit or miss. Better to stick with Ratchadaphisek area of BKK (or Second Road in Pattaya).

I am writing for the first in this forum and I hope somebody can help me. I will soon go for a trip to Manila, Boracay and around Puerto Galera. I am into massages with skilled hj and possibly bbbj. I have been many times to Bangkok and I love those Japanese-Korean places where you get a scrub and a good performance but saying that a nice relaxing couple of hours of oil massage will do. How much would it cost. I presume that in Manila will be no problem but what about Boracay? Does somebody have some suggestion? maybe name places or of nice girls. Next time I will contribute from my part since I am a bit of an expert

Posts: 213The Italian restaurant between town and Paras Beach Resort , Paraiso, is excellent (although the service is Filipino slow, even if we were the only customers). Owned by an Italian guy and his Filipina wife.
Paras Beach Resort has a kareoke bar placed smack dab in the middle of the resort as well as several pool tables, so while the facilities are the best (including the nice beachfront swimming pool), it would be very noisy to stay there. Those who want creature comforts should stay here (but bring earplugs). The serenity of Camiguin is one of the big draws for me, in addition to the scenery and friendly people, so Paras does not appeal to me as a place to stay.
The ferry is VERY slow, and it takes almost an hour to get to the ferry terminal from the resort area of Camiguin. Baligoan to CDO takes another 90 minutes, and if you are flying the CDO airport is another 20-30 minutes past the city up in the hills. The SEair flight offers GREAT views and is the best way to get there, but it is not advisable for those who are squeamish about bumpy rides in a small airplane and it only goes three days per week.
Those wanting broad expanse of white sand beach should go to Boracay or Malapascua instead as tester note the paucity of beaches on Camigin.
