Hi,

I plan to go to Cebu for 10 days between 9th Jan and 20 Jan, where I will meet a girl which should come with me in Palawan. Does anybody have advices regarding hotels costs in Palawan and good locations to be? The goal is to have some good time, no mongering, resting, and some visits around or excursions.

At least as I never been in Phil, I am doing some RTFF now, but what could be the price range for correct hotels, my target gieng if possible around 50 E / night even lower, or a mix between some above and some below.

Any advices will be appreciated.

There are freelancers walking the pathway from Big Apple to the foot of the Menarra Resort, usually after 8. 00 pm. I was propositioned a number of times. The Big Apple Bar has freelancers there from 12.00 noon onwards and some were quite doable. A couple of times when I was having lunch at the Big Apple, a freelancer came and sat opposite me, after seeking my permission. Naturally, I said yes, bought them a drink and just had a conversation. Rate is 1,500 PHP short time. Never tried any, so can't comment on the service level.

The beach side barstools at the Big Apple make an ideal vantage point to see the off duty bar girls walking around town getting lunch, meeting friends etc.

Many are available for a couple of drinks and an overtime session.

I am sure I and other appreciate your update on Sabang. I have been twice but now lament how it used to be. With the beach as you describe it, the hassle of no direct banka there, the increase to 4,000, the Korean bias and esp the hit and miss performance one wonders why a monger would visit. Of course I imagine the diving is still top notch.

I am intrigued about the freelancers. I thought the bar mafia strongly discouraged freelancing. When I was there only LB's were wandering FLers besides the odd girls at Big Apple.

It would seem that Sabang has suffered as Shinookville has. Paradise lost. Sad.

I was in Macau last week chatting with one of my repeat Chinese Sauna girls after another really satisfying overtime session with her when she casually mentioned that most of her Chinese customers were quick as in under 7 or 8 minutes. Previously, half of the money required was the barfine, and half was tip paid after the deed. But for newbies or those that didn't care, the mamasan would ask for the entire money upfront. You had to insist to split up the payment, which is always a good idea.

I will be heading to Puerto Princesa starting the second week of December (just a couple more weeks! I've scrubbed the internet including this site, and unless I missed something, I could not find much in terms of where to find decent go go bars or freelance joints. I did find one report on indicating Phoenix and Equus were decent as well as an area just outside of town known as San Pedro where you can find cheaper girly bars bars like Rabay, Body Chat, and Waray-Waray Bar located on Pineda Road.

Does anyone have any suggestions or guidance or better yet, real experience on where to go for a good time in Puerto Princesa in terms of finding freelancers or gogo bars? I will be staying in the downtown area near the airport.

Pretty much all of Asia has suffered. Nowhere in SE Asia is as good as before. It's like drinking watered down drinks. The buzz factor keeps getting lower and lower. Sabang is now totally set up for Koreans and Chinese, however, I was still able to have a good time. In fact, there are so few western mongerers, it was actually a good point of separation for the girls. All bar fines have gone up to 4,000 PHP now. They used to be 3,000 PHP before. Freelancer rate is 1,500 PHP.
