Lots of people make the same mistake. Taking an incompatible girl on vacation. First of all it is a cultural issue. Foreigners like to do touristy things like beach, sightseeing, party on vacation. Very few local girls are into any of that. All the while they are counting the money they are going to get. Not many want to be on the beach because they are afraid they will become darker. Sightseeing is off their radar and not used to taking a vacation. They do party with their known friends. Not with an old foreigner. For the money they will agree to go and okay with sex in the room. Rest of the things people do on vacation is alien to them especially if you stay in a resort for number of days. They really get bored.

I have taken some on vacations but most just on a day trip. The ones I have taken on vacation are the ones with whom I have stayed together many times and know their personalities. With them I know we will have a good time.

I had a Thai GF for a few years. Young, vivacious, pretty. We had gone on many vacations to Chiangmai Mai and golden triangle, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia. We were planning to go to Singapore and Bali but she started talking about marriage. So I had to cut her off. Although I bought her many gifts never gave or sent her money. She had a good bank job.

So before anyone takes a girl on a long vacation, stay few days with her to make sure she will be good company.

I'm not too picky when it comes to bringing a girl to a beach resort by the way, I mean personality wise. Of course physically I'm picky, I like to bring girls who look good on bikini and have a nice booty, looks is important too.

Other than physical and looks, I'm not picky with personality, as long she is fun to be with (she needs to drink beer at least one or two so I don't drink alone, the one that didn't workout when I was a newbie, she didn't drink and she didn't enjoy the bars scene much).

Well, also she can not have aptitude problems, but other than that, any other personality I mostly get along, I'm easy to please, I don't mind if they are shy at first, because I know once they trust me they will open up and be wild. The ones that are extremely shy I don't like, like the one in Bohol. Remember this are normal girls, so they really want to be in the beach and enjoy all the tours.

I guess my problem was more with the foreigner, he treat her date really bad and yell at her so loud, and got piss for little things, they look like a married couple after they fall out of love, LOL.

I tried not to look at them but they were so loud that you can easily heard everything they were talking, I was waiting for the guy to physically hit her so I can intervene and defend her, but it didn't happen, at the end they left and the food they order was intact, homeless kids from the beach came in and grab their food and left like hyenas after grabbing their meat.

I seen alot of foreigners bringing their dates, some they get along but many you can see they have no chemistry, I saw twice during the 5 days I was there, couples fighting and making a scene, one of them made a huge scene in a beach restaurant, you can see they regret being with eachother stuck in El Nido, so maybe the 2 girls that wanted to meet me were in the same situation, stuck in El Nido with someone they don't get along. You know it happens, when I was a newbie it happened to me once, good thing I only went with her to Bohol for 1 night, but still we never made any big scenes in front of others. After that I made sure I will only bring a date that I know I will get along, specially someone with no aptitude.

Any info on mongering action in Palawan? Puerto Princesa, El Nido, or Coron. Heading there for the beaches and would like to find some nighttime fun.

I was in El Nido (5 nights) and Puerto Princesa (1 night) back on April of this year. I was with my girlfriend (now fiance) so I couldn't do any mongering.

But if you want to find local girls and probably freelancers in Puerto Princesa go to Tiki Resto Bar, you will have a good time with your date, there is a DJ and dancing when the live band takes a break every 2-3 hours, I saw alot of locals girls and freelancer in the bar area.

In El Nido, lots of bars and foreigners, there is a filipino karaoke bar with alot of local girls in the second floor, and at least 2 foreigners bars / clubs I forgot the names, you might find a freelancer in the bar there, but is less likely than Puerto Princesa. When I was online on Tinder and Badoo you can chat with alot of Filipinas, some are locals from Palawan (many from Puerto Princesa), and some came from Manila or Cebu with their foreigner dates (they show me pictures in expensive hotels in El Nido), they said they are with their girlfriends but I doubt it they can afford expensive hotels that even me and my GF can not afford.

A couple of them wanted to meet me, one in a bar and the other one in a beach restaurant at a certain time and for only 1 hour (I can feel that one came with her foreigner date for sure). But of course I said No because I was with my GF.

Puerto Princesa yes. Where? I could have told you a couple of decades ago but businesses come and go. Places called "sing-alongs" are impromptu karaokes and barfines are available. There is a park in the middle of town with walkers in the evening. A Facebook group called Puerto Princesa walkers has 800 members. A walker is short for street walker. Join it and see what's cookin'. Ask a trike driver. No problem finding girls in PP. Outside of PP is a different matter.

I'm on a dive boat so couldn't really do that.

Why? I've taken many hookers and part timers in dive boats and dive trips.

Downsides are that boat boys will be hitting on her while you are off the boat and you will be a leper to other civilians on board who would otherwise be keen to chat etc.

Obvious upside is pussy on tap without needing to find local options.

There used to be a two story building directly across from airport in Puerto Princesa. I went there once and the girls come on stage periodically and you can call them down for a drink and / or negotiate other activities. There may have been a sign indicating it was a pub or club of some sort. I think some of the girls stay there though one time I got a girls number that evening and texted her to come to my hotel in the morning, which was down the street. As it turned out, she lived somewhere in this neighborhood. This was about 5 or 6 years ago and don't know if it's still there.

As far as Palawan goes, I found it pretty grim for talent. I remember arriving one night and going to a small bar on a side street and chatting to a local girl who turned out to be a Ladyboy. She lived in the town and her German boyfriend had just arrived and was napping at a nearby hotel. She told me there were a few other LB's in town but sneered at me when I asked about available real girls. LOL.

I did not see much to hold my interest and left after a few days.

Coron township is very small. Definitely byo or online import. Great diving but is there even a beach there?

The others have a significant online presence on the apps. Many girls to choose from of all moral standards.

If you're young and not hideous looking don't rule out backpacker girl groups.

Every girl I mentioned I was going to Palawan would have jumped at the chance to join me. BYO is the easiest option. I'm on a dive boat so couldn't really do that.

I know it is not an exciting topic but just a few years ago when I was there the roads were still being widened, drainage pipe being laid, and hard to get past the construction on the one road through the island. I hate that they laid paving stones rather than pouring cement for sidewalks. Is the road construction all finished now? Are the sidewalk paving stones in place or are they already sinking and falling apart at the edges?

I was there a few weeks ago and didn't notice any road construction. Didn't trip on any sidewalks at all. Didn't notice if they were paving stones. Roads were good all the way from the boat terminal to station 1.
