Yesterday I went to the bar complex in Iloilo. Stayed at Club21. Even it was Monday, there where lots of students. Next to my table I invited two young pussies to pizza. I always wonder how easy it is in the Philippines. She told me she has got a Korean boy friend (I assume he is paying a lot for her) , but after a couple of drinks her tongue was in my mouth. We had a good night in my hotel, and her girl friend was waiting outside.

Is this true, or is it just a case of the reporter jumping to conclusions because they saw a few short skirts? I will be in Legaspi for a night or two, so if you did have any recommendations, I would visit and post a field report.

I also plan to visit Coron. It will be a change of gear after Manila and Angeles but I still hope to find some nightlife. I have read a few reports on this thread about Planet Hollywood and a few videoke bars that I hope to explore.

Spent a 3 day weekend in Sabang and it was indeed entertaining. Not in a great way. I did notice the crazy ratio of Koreans to everyone else. At least 1:1. They would all (10 to 15 in large chain-smoking groups) head to the bars at 7:00 PM. And shortly thereafter (also as a group) stagger back to their resorts with the evenings catch. (that said, I wouldn't say they were taking all the lookers. The real stunners seemed to be with the oldest members of the group, the relatively younger ones were clearly herding livestock; which I considered a public service.) From our friends hotel lobby we would watch this migration, every day, just after sundown.

Luckily, I brought my own with me. And she (my girl) was looking for a little adventure pussy so on the first night we tried our luck at Coco Lips and Sabang Disco at 9:30 PM. Coco Lips was juts plain sad. I have never seen such an undesirable gathering of bored dancers since my last visit to Nana Plaza. The average customer age had to be pushing 65+. It was less like a bar and more like an adult day-care center. (apologies to my brothers over 65, I know we all look in the mirror and still see ourselves at 25) Sabang disco was a little better in terms of selection. However, we were with friends and decided to punt on the take-out until later in the weekend.

On our second night. We gave the Sabang Disco another try and found a nice little 18-19 year old package. However; she had never been with another girl before and claimed to be on the rag. We did get her number, we did not get the stunning little Japanese looking girl we had our eyes on. (too bad. Talking to a smashed Korean) Instead, we wound up focused on the drinking and wound up at a friends house chatting in to the evening.

On the final day. My girl txt's the cute package from the bar and asks if she can bring a friend by the hotel, just for me. My girl woke-up to find that Aunt Flow has come to visit her. (perfect timing) It was mid-afternoon, seemed like fun and while I always prefer to play with my girl in the mix a little 1:1 couldn't do any harm. With my girl on the rag. Things weren't looking good anyway.

Cute package shows up with a chunky 18 year old who really looks like an experienced 17. When I come out of the shower she covers her eyes and backs away in fear. Chatting like crazy to her friend, and then the both of them to my girl.

I didn't want to deal with an inexperienced girl brought up on entertaining men with low expectations. That evening we headed back to Sabang and Philippines Disco. Nothing worth taking out; opted for a good nights sleep instead and caught the 10:00 AM boat back to Batangas, and then on to Manila.

I don't blame the Koreans, and I won't say Sabang sucks. And we had a great time (all things considered). The prices for food were higher than Makati. Rooms were cheap, it was a real mixed bag across the board. I'd go back. I'd leave my expectations at home, and time it around my girls cycle.

After 4 days in Boracay it's very easy to write down a FR: nothing to talk about.

The Cocomangas is rocking with tourist, and there are some FL next to the bar near the entrance. But they are hardly doable while asking money sky high.

1) The main street is Rizal Ave. I like Palawan because it is eco-friendly; Honda bay tour and Sabang underground river were nice. There is no litter; hardly no beggars; and the trikes don't rip you off.

I spent some time in Palawan last month. It was a nice place and I would have enjoyed a bit more time there. I did get taken to one of the clubs by some Filipinos who were staying in my hotel but as you say the pickings were very slim. Actually in the case of the place I was at there was only one lady working and she was far from slim.

The trike drivers pissed me off big time. The price for a local in Palawan is 8 pesos. Foreigners are quoted 40 pesos by every driver. I walked away from many drivers to negotiate but the best price I got was 15 pesos with the driver trying to change the price once he had delivered me back to my hotel.

I did meet a DIA lady while I was there. Although she had agreed to travel with me when we chatted online she changed her mind as soon as I sent her a text message saying I was in town. We did eventually meet for supper and then enjoyed some entertainment at a local establishment but that was as far as it would go. We have chatted online since then and she admitted that she had never met a foreigner so was quite overwhelmed. A nice lady and I would meet her again to have another try if I am ever back in Palawan.

2) The Phoenix KTV is on a road south from Rizal across from the chain link fence of the airport. Most trikes should know it. The girls wore bikinis under a negligee. Girls dance on a stage in the middle. Girls were on the ugly side. 4s and 5s; 275 ladydrink; 3000 pesos barfine. I asked the mamasan if that was ST or LT. She said it was up to the girls. WOW! An honest mamasan. There were several locals and 3 White guys there at 9:30.

3) There is another girlie bar called Copacabana (sp?). From Phoenix, you continue south for couple of minutes. More ugly girls. Girls wore regular clothes in an outside bar. There was only 1 local at 10 PM.

4) The most upscale seems to be Equus KTV on Rizal Ave. There were nice cars out in front. Just several locals in the bar. It was dark; girls had regular clothes; girls don't dance on the stage. Mamasan came over and said she will call the girls for me to choose. I asked her to get the cutest ones. 2 came over; they were 5s. She said the barfine was negotiable.

5) There are several small outdoor KTVs on Rizal Ave. The girls are even more ugly. I asked the girl out in front at Art Venue KTV (?) if barfines were available. She said yes.

6) Was told there is a girlie bar called Golden Light (?) 45 minutes away.

7) Quality of girls was disappointing. Didn't see any Koreans in the girlie bars. Was told that direct flights from Korea to Puerto Princesa is going to start pretty soon. Now before some of you bitter ex-pats complain, I think that is going to improve the nightlife. You have to understand the concept of supply and demand. Cute girls are not going to work at places where there is low demand for their services. When the hordes of Koreans come to Palawan, the demand will be there for cute girls. Then maybe decent looking girls will come to Palawan. You just have to get there early to pick them up before the Koreans.

Many girls (most?) will adjust their opinions depending on what they think you want to hear. This is why they 'prefer' older, fatter, whiter guys, right? Korean soaps and Korean boy bands are extremely popular with Pinays. These boy bands are usually chosen for their cute, gender neutral appearances. A lot of girls must obviously find them very desirable. The main complaint I have heard is that often they show little interest in Filipinas, preferring taller, slimmer, smarter, more intelligent, and certainly more educated and sophisticated, Korean students attending language schools in P I.

1) A higher percentage of girls in Sabang will not do BJs compared to Angeles.

2) The average English fluency level of the girls in Sabang (including hotel staff) is lower than Angeles.

3) Compared to 8 years ago (and even 2 years ago) , the average quality / looks is higher. Maybe the higher barfine is attracting the cuter girls? Some of the 3000 Peso spotlight girls in Angeles should come to Sabang; they will make more money.

4) IMO, the quality of the girls in the Phillippine Village Disco was decent; similar to the quality at Venus. I thought those were the best 2.

5) The Asians in Sabang are not all Koreans. There are Japanese and Chinese people around.

6) Observed a new trick. 3 Asians came to Venus and sat on the couches in front. Then they got all the mamasans to bring their cute girls around. Then they took 3 and left. They treated the place like a take-out lineup. It's better if you don't want to drink because the lighting is better, and you don't have to pay for the 250 pesos ladydrinks.

7) Got stung by an old trick; never barfined that girl I wanted at Venus because the guy barfined her long time (3+ nights).

8) It only takes 10 Koreans to take the best 15-20 girls (7s and some 8s). The remaining, IMO, isn't that bad.

9) Girls are not slaves; they don't have to go out with you (if you're disgusting) if they don't want to.

10) Sabang has always been known as a party scene (8 years ago; not sure about 25 years ago). Not much has changed except now they built / are building on what remaining open land they had; more hotels with dive shops, cottages and a few more bars. Plus the prices for SMLs (50 or 60 to 80) and barfines (2000 to 3000) have gone up, just like most places. Koreans have always been around (although not as a high percentage as it is now). Also, the Koreans always went to the bars early to take out the cutest girls.

11) Sabang is not a place to go if you want to "get away from it". A good option for peace and tranquility is Big Laguna. Approx a 20 minute walk from Sabang. Not many people around. 1 obvious Korean resort, but most of the people on the beach were White. But be warned, there are Russians around. LOL! But thank goodness, didn't notice any Arabs or NGOs around. LOL!

all bars are now 3k. however, here are a few methods to arrange discounts from personal experience and reports from

friends here:

- if you are in the bar after 11pm, then you can nego with the mama for 2k (the former rate before the recent price

hikes).

- if you befriend one of the mamas, then she may be open minded to a general 2k deal.

- once you have a connection with some of the mamas, they may or you can propose a 'daytime bf'. this option has

been offered to me. for example, take the girl at 10 or 11 am and she stays with you till 4pm. rate offered to me:

1. 5k.

- i have a close friend here who has on speed dial 1 mama who gives him her girls for 1. 1 daytime bf. 1k for the

girl. 100p for the mama.

so with a little patience, social and nego skills, discounts can be arranged.

on another topic, the korean new leaseholder of broadbar was the instigator for the recent price hikes from 2k in

all bars to 3k. soon after he took the lease, he realised he had overpaid for the lease and went to the barangay

captain seeking permission to hike the bf etc. of course the barangay captain supported this request because he is

also a barowner and saw this as a fine opportunity to follow the price trend in his bar. the all other bars saw

this a a green light to follow the trend.

however, the korean's strategy has exploded in his face. in addition to the bf price hike, he foolishly hiked the

the broadway drink prices both in the girly bar and the front billiard bar. as a result all the western expats

boycotted broadway front bar resulting in more pain for the korean owner.

more bad business decisions follow. now the suffering korean leaseholder of broadway has decided to kill the girly

bar business and rennovate into a ktv / bistro targetted at the koreans. this is currently underway in the middle

of the moneymaking high season. all the broadway girls have been migrated upstairs to hammerhead, which was never a

success and when recently visited, is still empty of customers on any given night.

so sabang has lost the classic broadway bar, which was one of the better / happy bars.

cocolips has a new german leasholder. likewise the bf is 3k. but from my experience, that bar never worked. the

'culture' of the girls is like this. you enter, sit. all the girls are sitting on the right side near the change

rooms. perhaps 1 girl may come and sit with you, but if after asking of an ld you do not buy for her, she will

abandon you and return to the group of girls and you can enjoy finishing your drink alone.

all bars are popular the the koreans. their habbit is to visit the bars at 7pm and take 10-15 of the a-grade girls.

so this habbit does 2 things, it limits the selection of girls for westerns to bf, and limits the amount of eye

candy for the westerns. so what westerns are left with is the korean rejects and chubby trash both for bf choices

and eye candy. add to this that a percentage of girls are exclusively reserved for the korean market. in other

words, the mamas will not allow westerns to bf some of the girls.

all of the accommodation construction and business investment in sabang is korean money. so, this trend will

continue i expect.

incidently, the girls i've spokend to express their dissatisfaction with the bf price hikes. they are aware that 3k

is 'expensive' and are aware that this will impact on the the amount of bf activity for all of the girls.

nevertheless, sabang is still in the philippines. for example, i had a group of 4 girls in my room the other day.

after some chat and giggles, i negotiated a deal with 2 of the group: bombom and happy ending with 1 girl + full body

massage and baby oil happy ending with her friend. damage: 500p complete. why? because 500 is more than 2 times

their daily salary in the province.
