Surfer's right -- it's a dead loss. I like Baguio and spend a lot of time there, but do my mongering before or afterwards at Bauang and Poro Point, which are a couple km from each other down on the coast just south of San Fernando La Union. To my knowledge this is the most northerly place in the Philippines where you're likely to find what you're looking for.

This is generally correct, but "dead loss" is a bit exaggerated. I've been there twice for several days. After dark there are girls waiting along the edges of Burnham Park. Once I waited an hour on the overpass from the park to downtown, and was offered service by a girl who wandered by; she spent the night. She was among the ugliest I've even been with, but not fat or anything, and this is something to note about the Ifugao population. There is a bikini bar or two in the Legarda Road area; I did not investigate take-out. And twice I've hooked up with pairs of nurses/nursing students getting drunk out of their minds in normal bars; no sex but fun; one pair took me to the (then) new Nevada Square club venue.

The easiest placwe to pick up a p4p is in front of the Why Not KTV on the promenade. They are often sitting inside a trycicle, and you go round the corner to negotiate the deal. I had a choice of 2. She was OK, about fair value for the price.

Most of your questions are answered there if you are prepared to do some leg work.

Don't think it is out of date because anything written about Dumaguete from 2005 will still be current - not much changes there.

Just watch out for the baklas along the Esplanade opposite What's Up. Some are quite deceptive but all are aggressive.

the bars in bauang (ba-wahng) are mostly attached to the beach resorts and attract mainly westerners. the style is similar to the smaller bars in barrio barretto, as are quality and price. i've found about half a dozen places but there might be others rep001tered around.

the poro point bars line the highway a couple km north of bauang and they have the unmistakable look of an old r&r area (wallace air station was just up the road). clientele these days is mostly filipino and they (and the girls) can get rowdy, but people are friendly and unless you get drunk and obnoxious you're unlikely to have any trouble. maybe a couple dozen bars in total, mostly very small.

nothing to get excited about if you've just come from ac or even subic, but barely an hour's drive from baguio . . . .

Bohol - Panglao Island

Beautiful Alona Beach - not as crowded and tourist like Boracay - cheap prices, nice people - good place to relax. Good for bring your date in there. But i really had a great time with local girls and in local bars. I also enjoyed the nice relaxing atmosphere and excellent food. If you say Philipiine food sucks - try pork adobo or fresh seafood at Opss Bar. For the food/disco a very good place. For drinking - Helmut's Place is a must. Boracay

For me the number one in Philipiines. Also the most expensive one. Amazing white beach - great people to party with. I went out almost every night with guys i met in Red Coconut Hotel Bar. (By the way i stayed in this hotel and it is highly recomended- also for the cool bar staff). Again the food was very good.

We become a group of me + english, german, french, new zealand, american guys and we really had a nice time. I also met a guy from Slovakia, girls from Russia, guys from Israel, Austria. Try Summer Place disco. While it is better to bring your girl for a holiday you will not have a problem with finding one in Boracay. Summer Place is just one of many places you can find them. Be careful for LB's on your way back to the hotel. One night we even met some nice girls at a local disco and after we had a swim in the sea completely naked with them and then a great sex on the beach for free. Watch out for the happy hours at the bars - usually from 4-8 PM.

I wanted to try the VIP hotel, because it is literally in the middle of the action. Velez St is sw central, with plenty of girls in the side streets.

The advertised price on their web page for a standard room with matrimonial bed is 850. Actual price is 1950 for a business room with matrimonial bed.

I got a front room, and the noise level was deafening all night. The place is worn out. Very overpriced, the Mallberry beats this place hands down for value for money.

Turned out that at midnight, when I went out to look for a SW, there were few obvious sw. I decided to walk down the street to the Divisoria mall, whch was almost totally closed down. I was accosted by a pimp, and negotiated a price of 700 for a girl for the rest of the night till 6 am. I told him that I like them skinny, and he brought a skinny one. But her dress, demeanor and facial expression were against her, and my thoughts were on Miss J. So I turned him down. Later I thought that her demeanor was probably because she was very new at the business. The place is very bare, and there is no comparison with the bars of Angeles, or Burgos, or Cebu for entertainment, energy and ambience. There were only a few customers, generally low life pinoys. The bf is 3,000, lt, total price, bar plus girl. Or you can pay 2,000 for a romp in a VIP room, time unlimited, and apparently anything goes. Ld is 500 for the first, 250 for others. Beers 50 pesos, 60 pesos entry, not consumable.

I stayed in the Mallberry Suites, superior room, large queen sized bed, very new, everything worked, 4 star, 2200 per night. Good value fro money.

At the airport, the place is a disorganized rabble, and I could not distinguish touts from genuine taxi drivers, or metered taxis. I chose a guy who looked OK and spoke good English. As we drove into town, we had a good talk, and he would make a good tour guide. We negotiated 1500 for a half day tour around town and the local area.

Early that evening, nothing was coming good, so I texted him that I would buy him a few beers, if he showed me round the bars.

He mentioned a bar called Pyramid, top of the local standard.

No bf, ld are 275 per 30 minutes, entry charge of 150 per person, consumable. Beers are 50 and 55 pesos. Very quiet Monday evening, and we were early. About 20 girls, some were very presentable. Quite conservatively dressed. They would come over for a quick frontal rub. No more than that. It is on Recto Ave, over the Maharlika bridge.

We then went to Thrive, upstairs, fronts as a restaurant. Small place, in a small street. About 15 girls, and 3 were very good looking. Bf is 3500, cover charge of 50 per person, not consumable. Girls dance singly, progressively strip as time gets later, by the time that we left, 11pm, they were tops off, bottoms pulled down but not off. I expect that as the night wore on, it would be down to bare. They are advertising themselves for barfines, so they have a vested interest to show more as the night wears on, and they get more desperate. Reasonably comfortable sofas, not much hassling. The mama brought over a real beauty, Teresa, very slim, pretty face. Knew her way round the dancing, pole etc. I guess she has seen more than a few miles. Out the door, turn left, then left again is another bar, forget the name, same deal as the Thrive, full nudity, similar prices.

We drove around, just to get a feel for the place. Plenty of SW, even for Monday night. At 11pm, plenty could be seen on Velez St, concentrated round the VIP hotel, and the intersection with Pacana St. The cross streets either side had a few. Further along Velez, at the corner of Antonio Luna was a bigger bunch of girls, with pimps. My driver says that the standard price for foreigner Lt is 2500, but for pinoy, it is 1,000.

So he offers a service to cruise the streets with me in the back seat. I choose the girl, and he calls her over, negotiates, then if agreed, she gets into the back, and I have a local girl at pinoy price.

He also offers to prearrange a few girls for you to choose from, for a modest fee.

He will also meet you at the airport, take you in to town for the standard rate, which is 350 pesos. I think if you got a metered taxi it would be less, but maybe not much less.
