    Cagayan De Oro

It is my first experience to the philippines, not for trying bar girls but I was there to meet my wife to be, Well my round trip plane ticket cost $980 from San Diego to cagayan de oro, I arrived in Manila aug. 20 I had to stay overnight in manila so I can make my morning flight, so I met my girlfriend at manila airport it took her 3 minutes to spot me in crowd it's a good thing I told her what I be wearing what type of cap and color of my backpack, after she spotted me she was so happy since we met on yahoo chat almost 2 years ago anyways she was so happy it's like she hadn't seen me in years, well we took a cab to a hotel in pasay city not far from airport sorry I can't remember the hotel name we stayed for a night it cost about 1, 900 pesos it included breakfast and you can exchange money at hotel as they say it's better that you let the girl you are with to have her exchange money for you, so you can get the correct exchange, she made sure that it's correct amount, At least the hotel has cable TV, the room is nice and clean, One thing the city style reminds me of Tj old buildings, outdoor markets, street venders, taxi's everywhere except the taxi in phili the cars are more modern like Tj taxi's most of cars are more older, And there is a funny looking bus thingy called jeepny? I like the art work on them, there is a lot of moter/and cycle taxi type of thing In manila and cagayan, very intresting. Well we went to mall and the food is cheap there and their grocery too, my girlfriend told me the food is cheaper in cagayan than manila but grocery almost the same. After the mall trip went back to hotel went to bed my girlfriend cuddle up with me all night long and held me tight, I couldn't move that much in bed, LOL! The next day we had breakfast and head to airport going to cagayan. (Important Note! When making flights to other citys in phili, you have to pay some kind of departure fee whatever that is if you go to cagayan or other city the fee cost 200 peso $4usd and going on International flight cost is 550p/ $10. 90usd. Please be aware of that! )I thought the plane was going to be small a commuter plane, I was surprised it was a some what larger jet plane, the flight took about 40 min? Well we made it to cagayan the airport is small. Cagayan is a very nice area took a cab we went to hotel it cost about 950 peso almost 19 usd. The room is nice I'm not picky. There is a cafe bakery across the street she is right the food is cheaper but the cafe food is good, next day we went to another hotel my girlfriend used to work there, The hotel name is Bonair Inn, located on Don Sergio Osmena street. The room cost me about 550p about 11usd the room is kinda of smaller I like it I'm not fussy but the bathroom is small but I don't care the room is cheaper. Well I will finish my report next time I have to go back to work in the morning Blaaa! I really like it there in cagayan!

    Cagayan de Oro

"I can't make it home tonight. Can I stay in your room?" my CB chat friend said as we sat in Club Mojo. I, with my usual deep concern for homeless everywhere, consented to this imposition.

A dilemma that happens all too often is when the girl you've arranged to meet is accompanied by a friend that's even hotter. And I really hit it off with the hot friend in the karaoke room. But my original girl (not so bad looking herself) was onto us and got between us. And no surprise that this friend didn't come along the next night, some story about having a headache or something. No matter, I have her contact info.

Cagayan expat old guy chic: It's all in the gray-haired pony tail....

It was good to get to Cagayan after lackluster Butuan and out in the boonies Duka Bay. It's a town with several colleges, so lots of young beauties walking around. I was pleased to see that the number of venues for hunting has increased over last year, not that I really had a chance to try since my needs were taken care of.

Divisoria, a street of half a mile or so in the middle of town, has an area with park space, fountains and other public areas. At one end, just outside the gates of Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan, is a new cafe. I saw lots of student girlie types gathered here in the evening and at lunch time. For weekend nights the whole street is blocked off to cars and lots of market stalls are set up. It's a vibrant street scene that could offer many opportunities.

Xcite, the live band place across from Dynasty Court Hotel, has been split up into 2 places. There's Club Mojo, which I went to with my girl and her friends. The band was pretty good there. The other place is called Pulse, which I didn't get into. But I was told it's also a live band place. Also in this area is an upstairs billiards bar which has been good for afternoon to early evening hunting, a coffee shop downstairs from it, and La Togela Italian Restaurant. Serving sizes are big at the restaurant so if you're with 2 girls have them just order one thing and split it.

The Site, over by Limketkai Mall, has another live band place that I went to last year. It sort of had a bohemian thing going at the time. Downstairs from that is a coffee shop and there's a Karaoke bar here that I took the girls to. You can get a private room but it's not a hanky panky situation with a window on the door. You can still grope around a lot and do bump and grind dancing.

Dynasty Court has a live band bar on the top floor, but only on weekends right now. The lobby is being renovated at the moment so checkin is on the 2nd floor. You have to walk up the stairs to get to it. Otherwise the hotel is just OK. I got the deluxe room for 1700. You can get a cheaper standard room but there's not window. It's guest friendly here and they very helpfully give you a breakfast coupon for 2. Pryce Plaza, where I usually stay, was filled up with some jerkoff convention.

Badabing. This is a Filipino style go go bar. I finally made it in here after meaning to for a long time. But I had a bit of a misfire this time. The girl told me I could get a private room for 1500 including lots of drinks and anything goes. But when we got there she wanted 2000 more to do the deed. We reached an impasse and after calling the manager and explaining what the girl said to entice me to the back room he refunded the room charge. So it didn't go well that time but the bar handled it well and I think it's to be recommended. The girl also offered to meet me outside for 1000 but by this time I was a little put off. Lots of good lookers in this place.

    Duka Bay Resort

There's a fairly decent beach resort at this place halfway between Butuan and Cagayan. It has pretty good diving actually. There's an operation here to create and regenerate coral and it's getting some impressive results.

The beach is just adequate. It's sort of grayish sand with lots of pebbles and shells. In fact this is the norm for most beaches in the Philippines outside of Boracay and a very few other places. But it's a nice place to bring a girl or maybe hook up with one from the nearby towns of Gingoog and Medina, both of which have a decent number represented on various chat sites.

    Yawn! Butuan

"It's quiet tonight." said the Almont Inland Resort waiter at 9:30 in the evening as I was looking across at the bar being closed already. Actually there were more people about than the other nights I was around. After I told the guy that Butuan is the deadest, quietest town of its size that I've been to in the Philippines he giggled nervously and shuffled off like Filipinos always do when confronted with foreigners' bluntness.

There's just something profound dull about Butuan. There are a few places that try. Moof's, out in front of the resort, has a DJ and indoor/outdoor seating area. It could be something but it's cramped inside, no place to dance, and the aircon isn't nearly strong enough. There's a Caraga Square, an outdoor live band and bar area. But the night that we went there they had an exclusive party on and weren't letting in the general public. Now I don't mind these things in Cebu or Davao but when the number of decent places in a town can be counted on a very few fingers it's annoying when a place is bought out for the night. Directly across from the resort is U Turn, a piano bar. They distinguished themselves by having a cover charge even though it was absolutely empty at midnight on a Friday. Way to encourage customers guys.

One place that a monger on the hunt may try is down the road about a mile from Inland Resort towards the airport. There's a Butuan Doctor's College there, with the usual waves of cutely uniformed girlies. There are a couple of canteens and coffee shops across the street from the college where you can set up and wait for your prey. I got a couple of numbers for future visits this way. My girl took me to an outdoor disco set up one night in a vacant lot next to the college. It was full of writhing bodies, including ours, but I'm afraid it was a one off event or very occasional.

My girl was a bit of a flake. She was all over me one night, anything goes. Then the next nights she was very standoffish. I suspect she has a boyfriend and was afraid of being caught. So accept for the one night Butuan was a bit 'dry.'

Inland Resort is just okay. The pool is nice. It's 3000 pesos for rooms around the pool, 2500 for standard rooms at the back. But be aware these rooms can be WAY at the back, so that you're walking a third of a mile from there to the front gate. I started avoiding the bar because the bartender was always whining and crying about how poor he is. The service kind of comes and goes, par for the course in this country. Not far away there a convention hotel kind of place called Dottie's that might be an alternative.

All in all I would only come here if you're pretty sure you have a dependable contact. For pure hunting you're better off in about a dozen other cities in this country before here.

    Butuan

Anyone here in Butuan want to hang out and have a drink?..................................................................................................................................Well, c'mon don't everyone pop up all at once now!

As for Negros I'll probably make my usual 3 to 4 day stop in Dumaguete but that's all. I had plans to go to Iloilo and Guimaras but I'm down to 17 days left so I may have to cut it out. I've heard from my contact there that the oil spill isn't as bad as the media is making it.

This North Mindanao bit will probably take at least 9 days between Butuan, Duka Bay Resort for diving and Cagayan de Oro. I hung around in Davao for too long and now I'm having to rush the other places I want to visit. That's the problem with Davao. It's so good that it's hard to leave there.

    Subic

Some great posts by Mahku. I've always wondered about a trip to Leyte / Samar, but never heard much that sounded inviting. Of course if you want to experience just a little of Leyte / Samar you will find many of the working girls come from these apparently poorer than average provinces.

Any chance you will make it to Negros? Too bad about the oil spill.

Apparently, Subic is NOW being affected by oil. I don't think it is the same spill. Just do Google search if you want more info.

    Tacloban

Message from the girl I just left here: 'Take care always, I will miss you on bed.'

I squeezed 3 days in this place. I'd like to stay longer but the days are flying off the calendar and I've got to stay on the move if I want to visit all the places I planned to in these 2 months.

My entire time here was with one chat friend girl who attacked my body from nearly our first moments together. She did admonish me not to tell our common chat friends, so she can preserve her virginal reputation (haha!)

I stayed in Leyte Park Resort, built in 1980 and showing its age some. The standard rooms are adequate at 2000 a night. Half of the pool looks nice and half looks kind of scuzzy. The breakfasts are just okay, maybe better just to order the American breakfast than dealing with the buffet.

A great source of information here is at the floating boat restaurant off to the side of the resort. Just turn left from the front and go down the hill past the basketball gym, the indoor shooting range and out to the dock. Most nights there will be grizzled old expats with decades of Philippines experience. They can advise you on the gamut of relationships with the local women, from marriage all the way down. Also, there are several tasty looking waitresses here that you might try hitting on. The restaurant on dock pilings next to here is also good. The owner of the boat restaurant also operates the only diving that I heard of. He charges $100 for a dive trip over to Marabut Reserve off of Samar. It includes the boat and gear and also any companions you want to bring.

At the gate of the resort are a collection of outdoor eating places that may be a happy hunting ground. There's a KTV there also.

My girl told me about Inzomnia Disco, a few minutes ride away. But she wouldn't let me go there, saying I would 'for sure pick up chickies there.' Unfortunately I was never able to make my escape and go check it out.

    Excellent report!

Thanks for a good report! My experiences are quite similar. I am a diver too and stayed at Riseros´. I sent a private message to you, but got it back. You cannot receive private messages?

Arrived in Manila during daytime and took a taxi in to Manila. You can use the prepaid taxi service, they charge around 500pesos for a trip to malate/ermita or a normal metered taxi, then the trip is around 150pesos. A note about taxidrivers in Manila, they are all bastards. Make sure they turn on the meter, or you will be overcharged and save you a lot of hassle.

Stayed at the Stargate pensionne at Adriatico street in malate. The deluxe room was about 1100 pesos a night. Newly build with nice rooms. Very guestfriendly also. On the same street there are many other hotels in the same price class.
Avoid the popular Malate Pensionne though, they have a strict no guest policy. No exceptions.

Didn’t really care for Manila. During daytime you have one thing to do – going to the malls. Nothing else. It also lacks the pulse of a big city since its spread out on a very large area.

Nighttime was slightly better. Went to La Café of course. Picked up two girls there my first night for st (2000p for both). Crowded place and really nothing more than your usual bar, except for the fact that many working girls go there. Personally I prefered Cowboy grill, which is alittle more like a disco, not many foreigneers there though..

In Malate/Ermita available girls are everywere. Semipro’s and pro’s on Baywalk and on the streets, massageparlours, gogobars etc. Just choose. I stayed 4 days in Manila and it was more then enough. I missed Makati though, which some people says are nice.

Flew to Boracay with asianspirit. Oneway ticket was around 3700 pesos. Boracay is really nothing more then a long beach with adjointing bars/restaurants and hotels. That’s it. No gogo or girliebars.
It’s fine with me though, cause Im into diving and beachlife.
Stayed at La Casa Bonita 5m from the beach at boatstation 3. Really nice and clean rooms. After barganing I payed 1100 pesos a night with breakfast included.

The action that exists is around boatstation 1. Cocomangas disco was the only disco with lots of people and they had some working girls. But many local girls also and semipros. I liked the place. One drunk girl working as a divemaster at a diveshop on the beach gave me a handjob in the bar, with her hands inside my pants. Pretty embarrasing, but I don’t think many people noticed(I hope, I was drunk to).

Spent two weeks there and had a good time. Not many white tourists there, LOTS of koreans though.

Next stop was Puerto Galera. Flew to manila and took the bus to batangas. From batangas ferry(1 hour) to Sabang Beach. Stayed at Riseros Beach resort, in a nice room fronting the beach with balcony.
Sabang is a pretty small place, but I had a great time. Diving is really good, although visibility was only ok due to rainy season.
The best restaurant was in my opinium Capt. Gregg which also had a great barbeque.

In Sabang beach there are four gogobars. They are all on the main street in sabang so you cant miss them. Takeout is 2000pesos. I prefered Village Disco.

There are lots of freelancers in the bars and everywhere. But again it’s a small place, you will see the girls you have had many times again.

Went to White Beach with rented bike. It was totally dead (lowseason now). Restaurants and hotels were closed.

Ok, now it was time for Angeles. Took the bus to manila and there I took a taxi(1500pesos). I guess in Angeles there aint nothing called lowseason, I went around to aprox 14 different hotels incl Royal amsterdam, orange lion, wild orhid, orchid inn, central park, swiss chalet, niagara hotel etc. Everyone fully booked, for a long time ahead. Finally, got a room in kokomoz for 2 nights, then it was full again. Rate 1750pesos anight.
Hotel was ok though, with computer and broadband in the room. Had an argument when I checked out though, they claimed I had drunk a lot of things from the minibar, which was only bullshit. Don’t care for the money, its that they are trying to fuck me that bothers me.Of course I didn’t pay.
According to a german guy staying at the hotel, this was their praxis so he always took a photo of the bar when he checked in.

Angeles all about quantity, but where is the quality? Bars like cambodia, insomnia, illusions, lollipop, roadhouse, treasure island etc all had many girls, but did I find I looker? NO. I guess at least 70% of the girls already had children, and really not the young beatiful girls I had imagened.

I did see some goodlooing girls at nero’s, blue nile and dollhouse though.

After all I had read about angeles it was a real disappointment. Went to atleast 20 different bars in balibago and perimeter road and I didn’t even see a titty. No wet t-shirt contest, no girls doing crazy things in the bar. Just your normal gogobars-nothing more.
Met a photographer who lives in pattaya and takes photos for asianbabymakers and other sites, who said the same. Where are all the craziness we heard so much about?! And he had stayed for 2 weeks.

I liked the bars on santos street though. Young good girls and no hassle for ladies drink or anything. Just 600 pesos. Takeout the same pice for 2 hours.

Stayed only 2 nights in angeles, not worth anymore.

Went to Subic bay and baloy beach. A 2-3 hour busride from Angeles.

Stayed at the Blue rock resort, nice place with a good restaurant and right at the beach. Were relaxed place but the diving was highly overrated.

Nightlife was god. Barrio Barretto had at least 6-7 gogobars at the national highway(takeout 1200 pesos) and a massageparlour with a couple of young gems.
There is also another nightlife area about 10min with jeepney east. Don’t remember the name, but there are lots of bars there, many good ones also.

Damn, Im bad with names but if you take a trike 100-200m east from barrio baretto-national highway, just over the bridge on your left side there is a filipino style gogobar. Nice place, with nudedancing, and its filipino style-also the age of the girls... Takeout is 3000pesos. They also give bj and striptease for 1700 inside the viprooms.

    Conclusion:
Philippines is good for diving, beachlife and the girls are nice. Pretty cheap, easy to travel inside the country and everyone speaks ENGLISH which is very good.

But there are drawbacks. First of all, there are only a few real touristareas(for sex) manila, angeles, cebu, subic, puerto galera and the scenes are small except for angeles. It would be terrible during highseason, all places packed with people.

You have the gogo/girlie bars and you have your normal bars. If you are interested in a more varied nightlife, you wont be able to find it. REAL discos are nonexistant, although they call many places discos. You will find some bars with a very small dancefloor, and angeles has 2 small discos, but that’s it.
If your interested in raunchy striptease you wont be able to find that either.

Filipino food is in my opinium very bad. But its fine, cause its easy to find good thai, japanese or american food.

I would choose Thailand over Philippines anyday, but I will go back for a shorter period of time, cause I like the diving, the beach, and some of the girls are really nice. The girls are also generally younger in ph compared to thailand, but thailand is the easy winner anyway, cause it has much more to offer.

    Hope you enjoy my report.

Will post some photos in the photogallery

    See ya

    Zamboanga

5 days here meeting internet girls and checking into the P4P scene. Spanish speakers will like it here because the local dialect is Chavacano, which is the closest Filipino dialect to Spanish. If you ever come to a communication impasse just start throwing out Spanish words and more often than not they'll communicate.

Flew here on Cebu Pacific from Davao.

Hotel: Garden Orchid. It was girl friendly. Try to avoid having a room looking out onto the main road or you'll get to hear half the karaoke pros in town. Rate was 2100, breakfast included. Breakfast was pretty good with a choice of American, Filipino, or Continental. The place is right by the airport and you can even walk from the terminal in about 5 to 10 minutes. Has a lobby bar but I never saw anything to hit on.

    Places:

Ground Zero: Not to be confused with it's more ballyhooed namesake in Davao, this is a disco on the ground floor of the Garden Orchid. Unfortunately the only night worth going here was Saturday. Other nights the place closed early for lack of customers. There were a lot of targets on Saturday night though. This place also has a biometric registration system so try and look presentable for your pic.

Alejandra's: Sort of a mini version of places like The Venue and Auto Club in Davao. A few restaurants outside and an enclosed live band/disco. Also has a karaoke area which is mercifully enclosed. The band is pretty good and on the Saturday night I went there it was about half and half between men and women. It's better to approach girls outside where it's quiet enough to have a conversation. It's about a 5 to 10 minute ride from Garden Orchid on one of the 'trisikels' (the main way to get around).

Latitude: Another disco/live band in the downtown area. It's on two floors but a bit compact. Even on the weeknight I went it was pretty happening. On Saturday night it was full and wasn't letting more people in.

Mindpro Mall: The place to go to wander and chat up the babes. Got lots of eye contact when alone and even more when with another girl.

Filipino Barbecues: Or Lechon Manok or whatever. There are several of these on the road between the hotel and town. They're good places to take a date or to try to chat someone up. My favorite was Shamba, just down the road from my hotel and in a gas station parking lot. It's got good grounds and is quiet and secluded, a good makeout possibility for making the first moves to get someone in bed.

Videokes: Several of these on the road leading from the airport and past the Garden Orchid. I went to Rodelios, next to where Shamba is. Most of the girls are pretty average but there were a couple of lookers. The mamasan wanted 2500 for a barfine. I just agreed to meet the girl later and paid her 1500 for short time.

Strip Bar: There's one right by the airport entrance. I was there near closing time and the mamasan told me I didn't need to pay a barfine. But I didn't see an available girl so I just left after a couple of drinks.

Beach: I went to Bolong Beach with a girl's family. This is about a 40-minute ride south and west from town. The beach is just so so and suffers from the usual Filipino beach blights: Lots of trash everywhere and mangy nasty dogs hanging around. I was told there's a jellyfish problem but I took a swim with no ill effects.

Security: Never had a tense moment. A brief altercation between the bar girls and some idiot customer was the only confrontation of any sort that I saw. Zamboanga is majority Christian and so are most of the towns on the road from the city to Bolong Beach. If there were any dangers you would see the tension in the faces of the locals but everyone was relaxed wherever I went.

Girls: The girls can be a mix of Chavacano, Visayan or Ilongo speakers. Only one of the girls let me get physical. Some of the others were a bit flakey or seemed to be in cahoots with gay boy scams. Just be smart and you'll get by okay.

    Boracay

came here on a package tour of 3 nights and 4 days.

i had originally planned that this would be a byo operation but 12 days of meeting my internet girls in cebu and manila had me exhausted and pretty dried out. so i was happy to do some scuba diving, laying around the beach and playing wingman for the pal who came along.

we stayed at sea wind resort. it's an ok place, quiet and with nice grounds. neither the pool or the breakfast buffet are what they could be for this level of resort. the location is at the north end of white beach, so it's a bit of a walk to most of the restaurants and drinking places. but cocomangas, which turned out to be the best pickup place, is reasonably close. the resort was girl friendly, and in any case the security was a bit sleepy and didn't always know we were coming back.

it is low season right now so there may not be as much action to be had compared to other times of year. we walked up and down the beach and mostly it's pretty sedate. there is some live music in the form of quiet guitar strumming. but cocomangas had by far the highest concentration of freelancers, pimps flogging their stable of girls and just normal girls that were perhaps just off work from their resort jobs. it was packed every night (wednesday to friday nights when we were there), mostly with locals or filipinos from elsewhere and only a rep001tering of tourists. those of you who have been to dumaguete may be reminded of the why not music box as it is on weekends.

the asking rate started at 1500 and was easily brought down to 1000. it's probably possible to bring it down more for those with the will to drive a harder deal.

the selection of girls was actually quite good, not as hard core as i was expecting. some of the girls were between jobs or just topping off the income they were already getting.

elsewhere it will be very much hit and miss. there are lots of korean tourists but they're mostly in groups, not the singles or pairs that you really need to make an approach. you may find some stray opportunities up and down the beach or in the daytime when you go diving or whatever. also, if you're here for longer you may strike up a relationship with a waitress or shopgirl.

    See ya

There are loads of western women in the Phils. Most of them are euro tourist girls, a few brits etc. But these girls are of the back packer, free spirit variety. Way too young for old bastards like me but I ALWAYS see lots of them, The three best places are the ones you named. Boracay being number one. Strange thing, I usually with a filipina, I took my Filipina out dancing at WAVE disco in Boracay and Cocomangas shooters bars, in each place I had Euro girls ask her to dance.

Malapasqua is another place, few Americanos there mostly European, Danes, Dutch and Swedes, seem to have some sort of inside on the place. I've noticed these girls are VERY friendly if you have a filipina with you they seem eager to talk to her and you. I'm sure you could do well but be forwarned, the odds are AGAINST you in those two places as there is an over abundance of guys to girls. And the Filipino guys also hit on them.

Cebu is another place. I've See western women at the infamous sunflower disco.

I know a few western dive instructors operaing in the Phils who get lots of pussy off western women.

Surfer is right about Bali, lots of western (drunk) girls there, jap girls too, real easy.

    Good luck

Lorenz: Where were You On My FIRST trip to PI?

I had agreed to let my very trim, blonde haired blue eyed GF (my LAST White GF!) meet me in the PI. My buddy and I had arrived first, then my GF and his wife a week later. After 2 minutes I realized it was a HUGE mistake and I did everything possible to make her want to bail (so I could be solo). Oh how I wish I met a guy like you back then!

My friend and his wife let her go with them to Cebu and I hightailed it back to Balibago with a shit eating grin! Never heard from her again (:

To answer your question, go to Kuta, Bali. It is paradise for those who want to pick up drunken Euro/Ozzie girls on holiday (and lesser numbers of American and Japanese) . Never saw ANY groups of White girls on holiday without guysaNYWHERE in Visayas. IF it happens in Visayas, Boracay would be your best bet but not until November when the tourist season begins there. I personally think you are off your rocker to chase White girls while in the land of LBFMs but to each their own,. Good luck in your hunt.

    Lorenz,

I believe you'll be SOL (shit outta luck) in the Western Girl Department. I do see Western Women on most of my trips to the RP, but most are of enormous girth and not worthy of letting your worst enemies having a go at. The ones that are hot tend to be connected at the hip by some poor bastard who is probably casting sideways glances at all the hot Filipina ass all around them. Nope, better stick to Filipina's....or Japanese and Koreans in some areas. Goodluck on your hunt.
